I used Khalil and Co for my engagement photo make up. I'm not very make up savvy so I didn't know the difference between airbrush or foundation and I had a pretty narly break out going on my chin. She suggested traditional make up to get more coverage so I showed her my inspiration on Pinterest and she got to work! She was super friendly and talkative and I loved the overall experience. She was really good about answering all my questions too. You can see in the photos that she's very skilled at making you photo ready but natural looking, which was really important to me. I wasn't a fan of the eyelashes because my right eye kept tearing up badly, even hours afterward. She used super high quality, natural eyelashes, I just think my eye freaks out over stuff like that. I also think if I did it again I would have my make up done a couple hours before photos instead of right before. I noticed that my first couple of photos looked super heavy, but then it absorbed in and looked amazing. Great learning experience and amazing experience overall! read more

I was in San Antonio for New Year's Eve and was going to a formal event. At the last minute, I thought of getting my hair done in an up-do to go with my pretty party dress. I searched Yelp for stylists close to my hotel and found Khalil & Co. I thought for sure they would be totally booked but sent a message anyway. Adriana got back to me right away saying that they might be able to get me in and asked about the timing. We were able to coordinate schedules and Debbie saw me at 3 pm on NYE. She asked if I had any photos of what I liked (which of course I did!) and she got busy. I have never felt so pretty! The cost was only $65 for the up-do and I got so many compliments that night. I was visiting San Antonio for a wedding and had my hair done by Angel and airbrush make-up by Adriana, I can whole-heartedly say that they exceeded my expectations! Angel did my little girl's hair and gave the the most beautiful soft curls, and gave me the most volume I have ever had for an updo (and I need it!). And Adriana made my skin look flawless with the airbrush make-up. It feels so light and lasted the entire evening. Not only are Adriana and Angel talented artist, but they are also so much fun and friendly. Thank you ladies for making our experience so wonderful. Ruth and Samantha did my hair and makeup. They did a good job overall, but my trial was certainly better than the day of my wedding. Had to use the bathroom in the starbucks downstairs, charged my maid of honor $75 to do her 6 year old granddaughter's hair (took 20 minutes, maybe), required that I pay the 3% paypal protection fee that vendors are charged to ensure receipt of goods and services, and increased service charges before my wedding. Communication was good, but had I known this was going to be the experience we were going to have, I would have chosen to go elsewhere for sure. read more

While I 100% wish I could give this more stars, I can't. I chose the "grand" videography package which included: Raw ceremony, raw dances, raw toasts, well wishes, 10 minute highlight video & 60 second teaser. Our 10 minute & 60 second were phenomenal! Truly exactly what I wanted & hoped for. However, our ceremony video is horrible. On their recommendation, they used their own mic instead of tapping into the DJs - which we agreed to as they said it's more reliable & would guarantee at least decent audio. The audio cuts in & out for the entire video - you can't hear over half the words that are said. I was truly devastated, we had been waiting & wanting to share the video since we had over 100 that couldn't come to our wedding due to covid. I wasn't hoping for perfection by any means, but I basically don't have a ceremony video to share or watch. Here's where my main issues lie: 1) the poor audio wasn't addressed or expressed before hand. I was sent my videos & found out through trying to watch it. 2) when I reached out I received no apology & a generic response. 3) when I reached out again regarding my disappointment in their response & the video still, I was met with an equally generic response & excuses of the guests' phones interfering with their mic system. read more

It was done very age appropriate and I was very pleased with how it looked. Debbie did my hair and it was perfect and beyond my expectations. It also lasted all day and evening. Even though I wasn't told that my makeup artist had changed from the original one chosen, my hair and makeup trial was good. However the day before my wedding I had received two separate email confirmations for hair and makeup, and my makeup artist did not show up on my wedding day. Thankfully my amazing hair stylist, Morgan was able to call two makeup artists that she knew as backup to come help out two hours later. I never received an apology or call back from Adriana about this mistake. When I expressed how upset I was with the way she didn't handle the situation, she told me that it's written in the contract that if an emergency happens it will be handled, however this was not an emergency she never responded. This caused much stress and frustration not only for myself but my bridal party as well because they were frantically trying to find a solution. I would not recommend Khalil and Co. to anyone for any event but instead each individual artist for freelance work. (Hair: Morgan and Makeup: Jacqui and Lyndsey). Awful. I paid $85 dollars for a trial and it looked terrible. I had uneven eyeliner, my foundation was too light for my skin, they didn't conceal my dark circles and then after I told the "MUA" I can still see them she caked on under eye makeup after the fact leaving me with white patches of powder under my eyes. I asked for a refund and was not given one. I wasn't even given the option to try someone else. They're definitely not about customer service. read more
