We had an ANOTHER amazing experience working with Kristin! She's taken our family photos for over a decade now. Kristin is very easy to talk to and does a great job of making packages for every budget. If you ever feel nervous in front of a camera, Kristin has a real talent for making you feel completely relaxed. She is so patient and knew exactly how to guide us into natural poses. When we got our gallery, we weren't surprised by the quality. The lighting, the colors, and the candid moments captured were just what we wanted. Highly recommended! read more

Kristin did an absolutely phenomenal job on my daughter's graduation photos. She went above and beyond on the day of the shoot, got the photos done fast and every single one of the 80+ images are our favorite. She even managed to close the gaps between what my daughter wanted and what I had in mind as mom and we are both happy we got the prints we hoped for. I have no idea how we will choose which to print read more

Bluefire Photography exceeded our expectations on ALL fronts. As someone who doesn't love being in front of the camera, Kristen made us feel totally at ease. She helped guide us into poses that felt dynamic but natural and did a phenomenal job getting our restless baby to cooperate! The biggest win was that her photos turned out even better than I could have imagined. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering her. So glad we went with her!! read more

This was by far the best vendor I booked for my March 24, 2012 wedding. I saw Kristen's pictures online and fell in love with her work before seeing her prices and meeting her in person. She is a brides personal savior. I was recommended Blue Fire when I was looking at ceremony locations. I met with Kristen about a year out from my date and she was filling up quickly. She kept in touch through the year and even recommended the hotel we ended up booking for our reception. I wanted to make sure we got all the "usual shots" but on a crunched time frame in 2 locations. I didn't have a day of coordinator so I was counting on Kristen to watch the clock and make sure we got in everything by our 9:15pm departure. Kristen was a savior. She was on time and got right to work. She could see I was a nervous wreck and she quickly calmed me down. We got all the right poses made it to the limo on time. We ended up being 5 minutes early to the ceremony. Kristen immediately got my flower girls and ring bearers in pictures and posing since she knew the kids would quickly lose interest after the ceremony. She had everyone laughing and got some creative shots. I wanted some shots in my skates since roller derby is such a big part of my life. Kristen nailed my vision and let me be a more adventurous bride. I cant wait to see the final pics. When we arrived at the reception Kristen took charge getting some great downtown shots. Kristen kept time on toasts, first dances and cutting the cake. Before you know it we were making our exit. Kristen was the best decision I made and I recommend her to EVERY bride I meet. read more

Had Kristin of Bluefire Photography do the senior pictures for my HS son. Pictures were awesome. We highly recommend her for your photography needs. Pictures provided were 300 DPI high resolution images which were included in the overall price (many others were charging extra fees to get higher resolution images). Very professional and we definitely made a great decision to go with Bluefire Photography. read more

Kristen was extremely rude and unprofessional during the majority of my interactions with her. There was no warmth or consideration for any of my needs/wants as the bride, but this became apparent only after I had already forked over my non refundable deposit. Our wedding day she was rushed and unfriendly with my husband and I, making our families feel uncomfortable. Multiple times I had to stop her rushing and ask for very basic pictures, such as the groom with my bridesmaids or me with my parents. I had to ask for all of the "silly/fun" pictures, she never initiated anything like that herself. The rude behavior aside, my bigger issue wth Kristen is that I was promised my pictures and video 2 months after my wedding date. 2 months came and went! Whenever I would reach out to request an update, she would literally respond by being so rude and offended! Lol hello, I'm the one who should be upset, you aren't delivering what you promised!! I did not end up receiving my video until well over 5 months after my wedding!!!! And she had the nerve to tell me I could not have the raw footage. But that if I want someone else to edit it, they will send some of the footage elsewhere since they were taking SO LONG. Once we finally received the video, we then discover that my husband's parents left a nice recorded message for us and it didn't even make it onto the video. I'm sorry but not only was Kristen so totally rude and unprofessional, her work was careless and sloppy. I would never hire her for any type of service again. And just FYI- my profile picture was NOT taken by Kristen. A guest at our wedding took it and it's my favorite pic from the day. read more

Kristin with Bluefire is amazing! Our entire wedding party enjoyed her as much as my husband and I did. By far the best vendor we booked for our wedding! She calmed my nerves when the skies turned grey. We love our wedding pictures and Kristin! read more

Great service and photography. You cannot go wrong with the high quality image and service for a great price.

Kristin was amazing and perfect addition to our engagement and proposal a couple weeks ago. My fiancé hired her as our photographer for a surprise engagement photoshoot during my proposal. She was so sweet, so accommodating and made us feel really comfortable. She even went out of her way to bring along her daughter to watch our dogs who were with us during our proposal/engagement shoot so we could take the best pictures. She had great direction and really made us feel special on this precious day. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Kristin!! From the moment we met her, we knew she was going to do an amazing job capturing our special memories. Kristin took photos for our engagement and wedding in 2013 and they were amazing. She took the time to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was as close to perfect as possible. She really worked with us to find out what we wanted. More recently she took amazing newborn pictures for us. She was very accommodating and helped us find a time that would work for a new mom and my husband's crazy work schedule. Our pictures are beautiful and Kristen is always great to work with. read more

It seems that everyone who has left reviews on this page, has had a great experience with Bluefire. However, my husband and I hired them for videography services for our wedding and we were no so lucky. I am not one to complain, but we were extremely disappointed with Kristen and outcome of our videos. Not only were the videos poorly put together, but we had to wait 6 months after our wedding to receive them. That's right, we waited half a year when the contract clearly states that editing will take about 12 weeks. Every time I would express my concerns to Kristen, she would take at least three or four days to respond. And when she finally did, her responses were always very short and sometimes, quite frankly, she was rude. Like I said, I am not the type of person who complains about every little thing. In fact, this is the first time I have felt compelled to leave an online review. I just thought if I could save another bride the disappointment and heartache, the time I spent to share my experience with Bluefire would be worth it. read more

AMAZING photos and supreme professionalism! Kristin was so wonderful and I'm incredibly thankful for her keen eye and skill in making our 15 year vow renewal so special. The pictures she showed me on the camera itself were STUNNING, I cannot imagine how great they will look when complete! Thanks to Kristin, our day will be forever beautiful. We will definitely book her again for other family events!!! read more

I can't say enough about how wonderful Bluefire Photography is!! Kristin has been taking pictures of my boys for a couple of years now and continues to do an amazing job each time. She captures them perfectly - boys being boys! For each shoot, we've had an abundance of great photos to choose from. She's awesome to work with and great with the kids. They're at ease and having a good time which results in fantastic pictures. I absolutely recommend Bluefire for all of your photography needs! read more

We used Kristin for family portraits with our seven month old daughter and were extremely happy with the pictures she took. She was great with our daughter and we have received great feedback from relatives on the pictures. Her pricing was great and we would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a photographer. We definitely plan to use her again in the future for our family portraits. read more

My sister hired Kristen (Blue Fire Photographer) for her wedding and was satisfied for the most part. Pictures were nice BUT there was a slight delay due to the groom's family being a little late. At that point Kristen was rushing through all the pictures and rushing everyone to get in place for the pictures. She made everyone feel a bit uncomfortable and made it VERY obvious that she had somewhere else to be. Although pictures were nice...the experience was not so pleasant. When she talks about her wonderful wedding day unfortunately the photography experience is always mentioned :( read more

I scheduled a family session with Kristin in hopes that I would be able to use the photos for Christmas or New Year cards. I had not had maternity or newborn photos done, so was excited to get some great photos of our family and new baby. We had to reschedule 3 times: once due to rain, once because it was "too foggy", and the last time Kristin said the sky was "too gloomy" and that our photos would look dark. I'm from Oregon, where the sky is gloomy more often than not, and I know that if you know what you are doing you will still get great shots that you can brighten up. Kristin was not overly personable and I got the feeling that for whatever reason she didn't really want to do our shoot. After the third cancellation I was not confident that I was going to get the shots or quality I was looking for from Kristin, so I asked for a refund. She did send me a check in a timely manner, but deducted the $20 travel fee from the refund check, even though she was already at our location for another shoot right before ours (apparently the sky wasn't too "gloomy" for those people). Very disappointing experience. read more
