This was by far the best vendor I booked for my March 24, 2012 wedding. I saw Kristen's pictures online and fell in love with her work before seeing her prices and meeting her in person. She is a brides personal savior. I was recommended Blue Fire when I was looking at ceremony locations. I met with Kristen about a year out from my date and she was filling up quickly. She kept in touch through the year and even recommended the hotel we ended up booking for our reception. I wanted to make sure we got all the "usual shots" but on a crunched time frame in 2 locations. I didn't have a day of coordinator so I was counting on Kristen to watch the clock and make sure we got in everything by our 9:15pm departure. Kristen was a savior. She was on time and got right to work. She could see I was a nervous wreck and she quickly calmed me down. We got all the right poses made it to the limo on time. We ended up being 5 minutes early to the ceremony. Kristen immediately got my flower girls and ring bearers in pictures and posing since she knew the kids would quickly lose interest after the ceremony. She had everyone laughing and got some creative shots. I wanted some shots in my skates since roller derby is such a big part of my life. Kristen nailed my vision and let me be a more adventurous bride. I cant wait to see the final pics. When we arrived at the reception Kristen took charge getting some great downtown shots. Kristen kept time on toasts, first dances and cutting the cake. Before you know it we were making our exit. Kristen was the best decision I made and I recommend her to EVERY bride I meet. read more

Kristen was extremely rude and unprofessional during the majority of my interactions with her. There was no warmth or consideration for any of my needs/wants as the bride, but this became apparent only after I had already forked over my non refundable deposit. Our wedding day she was rushed and unfriendly with my husband and I, making our families feel uncomfortable. Multiple times I had to stop her rushing and ask for very basic pictures, such as the groom with my bridesmaids or me with my parents. I had to ask for all of the "silly/fun" pictures, she never initiated anything like that herself. The rude behavior aside, my bigger issue wth Kristen is that I was promised my pictures and video 2 months after my wedding date. 2 months came and went! Whenever I would reach out to request an update, she would literally respond by being so rude and offended! Lol hello, I'm the one who should be upset, you aren't delivering what you promised!! I did not end up receiving my video until well over 5 months after my wedding!!!! And she had the nerve to tell me I could not have the raw footage. But that if I want someone else to edit it, they will send some of the footage elsewhere since they were taking SO LONG. Once we finally received the video, we then discover that my husband's parents left a nice recorded message for us and it didn't even make it onto the video. I'm sorry but not only was Kristen so totally rude and unprofessional, her work was careless and sloppy. I would never hire her for any type of service again. And just FYI- my profile picture was NOT taken by Kristen. A guest at our wedding took it and it's my favorite pic from the day. read more

It seems that everyone who has left reviews on this page, has had a great experience with Bluefire. However, my husband and I hired them for videography services for our wedding and we were no so lucky. I am not one to complain, but we were extremely disappointed with Kristen and outcome of our videos. Not only were the videos poorly put together, but we had to wait 6 months after our wedding to receive them. That's right, we waited half a year when the contract clearly states that editing will take about 12 weeks. Every time I would express my concerns to Kristen, she would take at least three or four days to respond. And when she finally did, her responses were always very short and sometimes, quite frankly, she was rude. Like I said, I am not the type of person who complains about every little thing. In fact, this is the first time I have felt compelled to leave an online review. I just thought if I could save another bride the disappointment and heartache, the time I spent to share my experience with Bluefire would be worth it. read more

My sister hired Kristen (Blue Fire Photographer) for her wedding and was satisfied for the most part. Pictures were nice BUT there was a slight delay due to the groom's family being a little late. At that point Kristen was rushing through all the pictures and rushing everyone to get in place for the pictures. She made everyone feel a bit uncomfortable and made it VERY obvious that she had somewhere else to be. Although pictures were nice...the experience was not so pleasant. I scheduled a family session with Kristin in hopes that I would be able to use the photos for Christmas or New Year cards. I had not had maternity or newborn photos done, so was excited to get some great photos of our family and new baby. We had to reschedule 3 times: once due to rain, once because it was "too foggy", and the last time Kristin said the sky was "too gloomy" and that our photos would look dark. I'm from Oregon, where the sky is gloomy more often than not, and I know that if you know what you are doing you will still get great shots that you can brighten up. Kristin was not overly personable and I got the feeling that for whatever reason she didn't really want to do our shoot. After the third cancellation I was not confident that I was going to get the shots or quality I was looking for from Kristin, so I asked for a refund. She did send me a check in a timely manner, but deducted the $20 travel fee from the refund check, even though she was already at our location for another shoot right before ours (apparently the sky wasn't too "gloomy" for those people).
