I received a lavender pedicure and a dip manicure on my natural nails and asked for an almond shape, but my nails came out uneven and more oblong with inconsistent shaping. I received a lavender manicure and the massage was way too rough with the exfoliating scrub. I was also told something would be applied to make the nail color brighter, but was not informed this would be an additional charge until checkout. "Chrome" was added and I had no clue as I just started doing my nails after more than 5yrs of not going to a nail salon. During the manicure my cuticles were cut very aggressively and I went home with bleeding and soreness. For the total price of $200, I expected better quality, gentler technique, and clearer communication about add-on costs. I did tip, but not as well as I normally would. I believe the technician did her best, but it wasn't up to par with the pricing.

I went to Hair By Eileen for a 70s Farrah haircut (lol) and to learn how to care for my gray hair. If you have gray hair you know what I mean. I learned so much from Eileen. She is so knowledgeable about everything hair related. Not only did I get a perfect cut, I went back and had a clear gloss applied two weeks later. I have had so many positive comments on my hair since I've been to Eileen's. I've been told things like, "Lady, your hair is outstanding!", "You have beautiful hair", "I love your hair" and my favorite,"I didn't recognize you, you look 15 years younger!" I would definitely recommend Hair By Eileen to everyone whether you need a new stylist, or you want a fresh new look. I moved to New Braunfels about 2 months ago. I did quite a bit of research to find a good hair stylist. It was tough to leave my former hair stylist so I was anxious about finding a great stylist. I found Eileen and am so glad I did! She really listened to what I wanted done, how I like my hair and wanted to make sure what she was doing was what I had asked for. I love her shop, because she has her own place there is not that high noise level. She focuses on the person in her chair without the drama that some places garner. I model part time. My life is extremely busy and in the rush of it all, I used a box to change my hair color... Not a good idea. I have asian hair and am naturally a dark brunette. The box I used was a carmelly type blonde... It came out orange!!!! She saved my life. She gives free consolations and did what was best for my hair. Joined her and her talented friends(Cynthia-Very experienced Makeup-artist, Stephen & Noel from Studio HighKey in San Antonio, TX) for a photo shoot and they all killed it. There was braids, BIG hair updos, multicolored hair, incredible makeup creations and I can't wait to see the final result of the photos. My main issue is with the stylist i've seen both times. The first time was a great hair cut especially since i was desperate and it was to make sure i dont look overgrown/ unprofessional at my work. I've been getting my hair done from someone else for my whole life, and the stylist doing my cut here, was in my opinion working with a good base since i was only a couple weeks overdue for my normal hair cut time. So the first hair cut was my normal standard and enjoyed some of the different techniques and textures from this first experience, something to note was the stylist needed help with staying on time and had someone wash my hair for her, keep that in mind. This last time i went i was way more grown out from the last time i came in, i waited 8-9 weeks and my hair grows very fast, like 2 inches in 9 weeks fast. Like the first time, someone had to help her with getting me washed up for the hair cut, both ladys were nice but it felt weird that i was on time (early infact) where as she was still putting color in another lady's hair when the hand me in the chair and i was finished with the wash. That may be industry standard to some but i wasnt a fan of that. Then when she came to cut my hair, i told her what i wanted and somewhat delivered? The hair cut is uneven, some parts didnt get cut or shaved off (i have shaved sides) and i weirdly long part of my bangs that should've been addressed in the appointment but i didnt notice all the parts that needed to be done till i got home when i was able to get a really good look. I had to even shave off a chunck of hair by my left temple because it looked off with it there and was not shaved down properly. Overall i enjoyed the experience of going there and the way everyone is friendly but not the result i was hoping for honestly. I will be going back to my other stylist for my next hair cut so she can fix the uneven hair cut and I'm thankful she is available again. I recommend them overall but definitely make sure you like your haircut before you leave or you might end up uneven depending on the stylist.

Then one month…read morethe front desk called with a bunch of confusion and wanting me to move my appointment something about the stylist and I said no that's the only day I can come in. So I saw a different stylist. Consistently each month my hair color was correct and it was the same and I came from another salon with my formula so it was all written down. The second stylist did a good job and did the correct root color she also did highlights so it was an expensive visit so I become more blonde with the highlights. I schedule with the original stylist for the following color appointment and then two days ahead of time the front desk called with the same type of confusion about the appointments and I said You know what just change to the second stylist I've used I'll stick with her from now on because my life and my schedule is not congruent to these monthly confusions and changes being made to my appointments from this one stylist. So yesterday I went for my routine hair color with the second stylist who had done my root color the month before and it was the right color no problem because they have the formula in their computer. However the root color I ended up with was so dark so ashy, so gray looking so gross it looks like mud on my hair and of course it's ruined and the highlights I paid for last month as well are RUINED. I asked the second stylist if anyone can go into the computer and tweak someone's formula and she said yes and I said well since you did my color last month and it was perfect this month you did the same formula out of the computer( you say )and it's totally wrong not even in the ballpark then obviously someone has sabotaged it or you made a mistake. She assured me she didn't make a mistake. She assured me she followed what the computer said. Leaving me to assess that my hair was sabotaged yesterday. I SPOKE TO THE ORIGINAL STYLIST YESTERDAY WHO KEPT F****** UP MY SCHEDULE AND WHO I SWITCHED FROM AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT BUT SHE KEPT STARING AT MY COLOR ON MY HAIR WITH A SMIRK ON HER FACE AND THAT'S WHEN I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM INTO THE LIGHT IN THE BATHROOM LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND I KNEW THE COLOR WAS WRONG AND WAY TOO DARK. I BELIEVE SHE SABOTAGED IT IN THE COMPUTER I HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT It's so embarrassing and so gross I can't even go out in public without a hat on today. I've reached out multiple times through the front desk to leave a message for the owner to contact me before I started leaving reviews without any contact in return so I'm not sure that the message is getting relayed I'm turning now to social media and to reviews to try to have this result before I seek legal restitution. I'm out about $600 at this point and my hair is f***** up so bad I can't even go in public without a hat and William edge the owner will not contact me back. It's the most bizarre situation. I don't understand how these things are ALLOWED at professional hair salons without accountability.
