What a gem! The space is cozy and near the river. I did the tasting for $8, which includes 5 wines of your choice and souvenir glass. (it's a nice, large wine glass btw, which has the logo on one side and "Sippin' on the Mississippi" on the other) Service was friendly and at your own pace. I'm typically a red drinker, but I have to say the whites stole the show here! They even threw a couple samples of their wine slushes in for me to taste. I loved that all of the wines have names that are a fun play on legal terminology- if I recall, they said the owners previously held careers as a lawyer and a judge. I died laughing when I noticed that one of my pours was coming out of Trump's signature "face," and wished out loud I could buy one of those toppers. The server made my night when she told me they had just gotten them in and had them for sale. It now aerates my bottles at home.

" What A Small, Cute, Clean Winery " The Wide River Winery has a great tasting room. It only cost $8.00 for 5 tastings and you get to keep the wine glass. They have multiple types of wine to enjoy, and they also have live music playing on their outside wood decks which are in the back and front of the tasting room. They have private lot off street parking also. Nice cozy, and comfortable place to enjoy some good wine.

So this location just opened toward the end of 2016, and they are absolutely crushing it. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon after a 5 hour drive. After parking in their private lot, we got a seat at the bar and began chatting with the staff. In a couple minutes, we were started into our tastings - which includes a free wine glass. Not any cheap glass either. I was hungry after the drive, so I took a look at their food options. I was interested in the pretzels or the meat and cheese board (without the meat). The owner that was serving us offered to make a custom plate with pretzels, their house made mustard, and the cheese! It was delicious and filled that void in my stomach. We were only in town two days, but we actually returned the next day to try their wine slushies, which were incredibly. They have 2 kinds, and I asked them to blend the two together - the only real way to get any slushy! They also have a nice patio, which would be amazing in warmer weather!

Stopped here while visiting friends in Davenport. It was a nice little place. Cramped on the inside but lovely outdoor area (highly recommend sitting outside) We order a pitcher of the wine slush. I can't remember the exact flavors but we got them a little mixed. They said it could serve 6 but it was definitely more like 8. Delicious and refreshing. Just be careful how much you drink though because you might end up with a little bit of a Stomach ache because it's so sweet and delicious. I highly recommend the tastings as well. We have come here before and it's $8 and you even get to take home a glass. Nice afternoon activity.

Good deal on five samples for 7$ your choice from their selection. Wine expert was very friendly and knowledgable.

You can sit outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard or even sit in the vineyard. You order your wine selection in the gift shop that also offers small plates. They have many different wine varieties and Andy who worked there gave us a detailed description of each one. Unfortunately he was also a sale person wanting you to spend money which was a turnoff. We each elected to do a tasting of 3 different wines - all reds .Unfortunately the beautiful setting was better than any of the wines we tasted. We walked away disappointed as we really wanted to buy a bottle to support a local business but we just didn't care for any of the 6 we tried. If you are in the area and want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Galena Territory, give them a try and maybe you will find a wine that you will like.

In fact the flavor was so offensive to my pallet that I didn't finish any of the three varieties recommended. I really enjoy dry wines and stayed clear of the sweet so maybe that was the issue. The sales pressure was a real turnoff. I felt it was overpriced as well. Go for the views and the lovely garden patio but for dry red wine lovers I would fergedaboudit!

I know it's a winery and they want to sell alcohol but all we wanted was something to eat. The only seating was in the bar hallway/lobby (or outside, but it was windy). Inside they have 6 wingback type chairs with a " coffee table" in front of you (can you imagine trying to chew on a hard crusted Pizza, sitting at the coffee table), 2 tall tables, each with 4 tall, hard, sling stools, no backs (which aren't easy to move on the low pile carpet), or a regular height table with six hard, wood chairs with backs, or a couple chairs at the bar. Not knowing if a larger group of people would come in we didn't want to take the areas for six people. So we sat at one of the tall tables with hard sling chairs and no backs. They are extremely uncomfortable, too tall to be comfortable, no matter your height. We were each given a fork wrapped in one small napkin. When the pizzas came out they were very thin, not many toppings (we've had better frozen pizzas than these were and I don't care for frozen pizza). They were impossible to cut with the fork. When you picked them up your hands got black from the underside, from the Wood Fired Pizza. The crust was too hard to chew off. We asked for more napkins and knives and they only had little plastic knives. When questioned about something different we were told that's the only kind they can give us. Which of course there's no way you can cut, with those little plastic knives, the tough crust of the pizza. I would like to see management sitting in those uncomfortable hard tall stools trying to chew a pizza (or cut one with a little plastic knife), with dirty, blackened fingers and try to enjoy one's dinner.
