I wish it weren't so, but I'd recommend finding another company to work with.

It is so great to talk with Dody whenever I call as she gets all set-up and knows the business inside and out! This year the Annual Heating System Tune-up was completed by Dan R and Anoy G. I called Augusta Natural Gas to get a quote to replace our water heater. A technician came out,…read morestood at the door for less than two minutes, confirmed that the water heater needed to be replaced, and left. He took a few pictures and that was it. He told me he would email me a quote. After waiting, I followed up with Augusta Natural Gas twice over the next two weeks because I still had not received anything. With no response, I ultimately went with another company. That company took the time to explain our options, provided a quote, and completed the replacement that same week. Three weeks later, Augusta Natural Gas finally sent me their quote -- which was approximately double what the other company charged. Then, a few weeks after that, I received a $140 bill for "labor" for the technician's less-than-two-minute visit. I called to explain the situation and try to resolve the charge. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was even more disappointing. I was yelled at, accused of lying, and told not to call again. I remained calm and respectful throughout the conversation and ultimately had to hang up. I understand that companies charge for service calls, but charging $140 for a visit that lasted less than two minutes, failing to provide the promised quote for three weeks, and then treating a customer this way when they call with a legitimate concern is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Augusta Natural Gas and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Had a plumbing emergency yesterday, and was fortunate to have called Evergreen. Caleb (the…read moreproprietor) returned my call immediately after I had left a VM, and asked me about the nature of the problem (I wasn't sure, so I told him the symptoms and he formed an expert opinion on info provided). He had one of his guys, Gage, come out to see if he could help me. Gage was VERY professional and very much an expert on how to approach the problem. Long story short, my relay tank pump had gone bad. Gage had to find the relay tank (under the frozen, snow covered earth), extract and diagnose the pump, run to supply house to get needed replacement, and replace the pump. The temperature outside when Gage started was around 28 degrees, and it dropped to wind-chill of 8. When the job was nearing completion, Caleb came by to ensure Gage didn't need additional help and that everything was coming together okay. Having a sewer backup into your home is traumatizing and it was the first time this had happened to me. Caleb and Gage were both very empathetic and incredibly professional. I would absolutely 100 percent recommend Evergreen to anyone needing any sort of plumbing work done.

Who turns down that amount of work in one location? We're talking somewhere in the $18K range.
