This was my first time ever going into a WIC office, everyone was so attentive. Ready to help me for whatever I was there for. I had my check-in for my baby because she will be 6 months next month, and I wanted to see if I could borrow one of their pumps. I'm a stay at home mom, and thought I wouldn't qualify because I'm not working or going to school. I told them about my circumstances and they gifted me this pump to keep!!! This is exactly the pump I was going to save up for myself! Yvonne and Jose were great help! I didn't catch the other woman's name that was there, but she told me to come back for a free pack of diapers for my baby. Such a wonderful staff, what a great way to end the year. Thank you WIC! read more

I love dealing with this office. The people are very kind and helpful. I just got off the phone for my wic appointment and I loved my experience with the person I spoke to. She provided me really helpful information and great resources. Honestly, I haven't had a bad experience with this office. Great customer service. I always feel so comfortable talking to them almost as if I know them outside of the office. It always sounds like they care and they even encourage you. Would recommend read more

Every time I go in I get help right away. I've worked with Debbie each time: it just magically works out that way. I come in and she asks if she can help. Debbie takes her time to make sure she answers all of my questions and I feel comfortable sharing information about what I might be going through at the moment and she is always referring to all the resources available for additional help. From housing help to finding a good food bank with a great diaper program. As a first time mom I've been lucky enough to find people that care enough to help. Thanks guys! Thank you Debbie! read more

I cannot thank this location enough! The support and encouragement I received during my pregnancy was great! And then after I had my baby and dove into breastfeeding they were just above and beyond amazing! I got texts asking how breastfeeding was going and was able to chat and ask questions. I went into the breastfeeding classes multiple times and each time I just felt like I could get through it. Jose is great! He's so knowledgeable and truly cares about encouraging new mothers to breast feed. He explains so much and actually knows what he's talking about. The ladies are all so friendly and so so good with my daughter! The holiday decor today was so cute and so festive! I love the that they took the time to do that - my daughter kept pointing and telling me look! I took home a recipe book today too. I truly feel I got so much more from these smaller breastfeeding classes than the larger ones at kaiser. WIC just feels more like family. read more

I hate to give this center a 1 star rating, but my review isn't necessarily on the center itself. This review is meant for one of their employees, Bertha. I knew going into this appointment that it was going to take a little longer then usual due to switching over to the card so that wasn't an issue. My issue started when I was sent to the separate room with this employee along with 2 other women to watch an informational video. As Bertha began the video, she started gossiping about other employees to us about how they don't do their job and just sit on their butts all day. When the video was over she then tried to ask us questions that pertained to the video but unsure about answers we just guessed. You could tell that she was annoyed that we weren't answering correctly and says "Weren't you paying attention?" and my response was. "No. You were talking to us the whole time." Then another mother pulled out a bag of cheerios, my son noticed them and wanted to have some. The mother had no issues sharing with my son, so when he ran out he proceeded to hint for more with a light yell. He yelled 2 times, which I totally understand could be annoying but he's only 18 months, still a baby! As he yelled Bertha gave him a look as if he was annoying her and says "Wow you're so demanding." with the ugliest tone. I told her not to call my son demanding and he was just asking for more to which she responded "Well he should have brought his own." I know we all don't really want other kids coming up to us asking for snacks but HE'S A BABY. I will not let another person speak to my child like that , let alone an employee at a women's nutritional center. I have had my share of issues with Bertha in the past, but when my child is being effected negatively I will have an issue. read more

My mother and I have been going here throughout the years and we have never had a bad experience. All of the staff are caring, knowledgeable, and they make us feel like they sincerely care about the welfare of our children that we take care of. Even if it's a busy day they still take the time out to ensure that our children are getting the best care tailored to each one of their personal needs. This WIC office alongside with the Mothers store adjacent are angels on earth. It's such a blessing to us to know we have this office as part of our support system for our children. read more

I heard about WIC & I get really hesitate about having to sign up for new things & keeping up with them but I decided to finally do the pre enrollment, starting with online it was pretty simple! Didn't ask too many questions & wasn't difficult. Then I received a call which went pretty quick as well and set up an appointment to go in. I went in for my appointment and everything was pretty simple and very informative. The staff is very welcoming & explain EVERYTHING to you. They really work with you. They actually want to help you. WIC helps me & interacts with me more than my OB Dr. I'm at my 2nd appointment with WIC and it lasted longer than my Dr's apt this morning & I learn something new. Being a young first mom, it's nice to know people care & most importantly FEELING like people care. Today my Dr's office made me feel like a in and out patient & my dr finished our appointment in the middle of the hallway after he took me to the lab for bloodwork. WIC doesn't make it feel like just an "appointment" they have to get through, they interact & talk with you & help you. Thank You to Jose, Ana & everyone else I didn't get a name for ! It's refreshing to have people who are kind & care for what they do read more

Very unhelpful and very rude staff. I was there with my daughter and my wife with help to breastfeed unfortunately they didn't let me in the room because of other moms breastfeeding so I was like okay not a big deal then a white lady was being racist against what looked to be a middle eastern couple who wanted to change their baby's feeding to formula. She was yelling at them that she wasn't going to give them formula and then she started yelling at the couple that she could not understand what they were saying. She eventually started telling them that they were not the people on the paper and making them feel uncomfortable. Even I felt uncomfortable just sitting here. read more

I really liked this WIC location the first time I came here. Today, I had a scheduled appointment at 3:30pm. Got to WIC 10 minutes early. Checked in, watched the video and waited to be helped. People were coming in and out with no problems. 4:40pm is when someone by the name of Maria or Marissa (I heard workers call her by both names) decides to "help me." She began to complain that her coworkers failed to help me and that she was the only one willing to help even though I saw her eating before calling my name. I dont know what was so difficult but this woman asked me the same questions SEVERAL times, over and over. She had to ask for assistance from her coworkers multiple times because clearly, she didnt know what the hell she was doing. I did not leave until exactly 6:15pm. This location says it closes at 4:30. I was the LAST person to leave aside from the 3 workers left there. I'm extremely mad at how poorly I was taken care of. I really hope I have a better experience the next time around, that's if I decide to even go back to this location. I'm extremely disappointed at how much time I wasted, away from my newborn at home. read more

They all just stand around and talk to each other while your sitting waiting and the Asian lady with short hair in the back is so judge mental on my weight! I'm 140 lbs ! Like what the heck! read more

I am blessed to have WIC services. The Covina WIC is staffed with many who enjoy serving the community. Bertha and Debbie were so helpful and kind today. It used to feel dirty, seem inefficient and generally chaotic in this location. The last year the changes in the waiting room environment and the flow through the various stations have made great improvements. #appreciative read more
