Je'Nelle has more wisdom in the field of childbirth than anyone (from MDs to other midwives and doulas) that I have ever met. She has access to the best practitioners (nutritionists, chiropractors, at home ultrasounds, etc.) and provides personalized care to each mama. She has incredible intuition and always knows exactly what to do. She has a close relationship with God, and the space around her vibrates at a high level of love. She creates a safe and sacred space. If you are concerned with having a birth away from a hospital, just know that Je'Nelle is a skilled medical professional with a background in nursing and has all the medical tech you and your baby might need with the exception of the epidural and C-section (obviously). I felt very confident that she would know when to send me to a hospital if the occasion called. Also, the birthing pool is underrated in how much it helps with pain management. It makes contractions totally doable! Home births are so awesome! You have your baby and can just go sleep in your bed afterwards. Highly recommend!!!

She was very accommodating with scheduling too! After evaluation, she diagnosed my baby girl with lip tie and possibly a tounge tie. She showed me some exercises I can do daily to help with her oral functions and body tension. Shes suggested some dentists that shes seen procedure success in. She advised that its up to me if I want to do the lip tie procedure, and that oral exercises will need to be done after procedure so getting her use to exercises is important. And sometimes the exercises can significantly improve without needing the procedure. Shes also suggested nipple types I can try to help her latch better. Overall, after 3 sessions, baby girl has minimal clicking, better latch and slightly stronger tounge. Im still on the fence with the procedure, i know sooner the better, but if she continues to improve, I may forgo the procedure. Let's hope her 4 month regression does not undo all our hard work. I will revisit Stacy when baby girl starts solids.

Linda was able to come out asap and she very much helped me! We realized he did better on a nipple shield and have been using one the last two weeks. He's been getting stronger and able to breast feed no problem. During our first session, she was able to confirm that my insurance would cover a postpartum Doula. So I get 11 sessions through Kaiser, which has been wonderful! So Linda comes to my house once or twice a week to help me in my recovery and breast-feeding journey. It has been really nice to have the support and the help. She's really been great! We will be working on getting him off the nipple sheilds, hopefully in the next few weeks. But having the help at home has really been great as well as the lactation support. I would definitely recommend calling her and seeing if you were insurance will cover visits from her. Thanks Linda for all the help!

I had been experiencing a lot of discomfort while pumping due to using the wrong flange size. Judy came to my home, fitted me correctly (I was using flanges two sizes too large), observed me pumping, and gave me helpful tips to maximize my output and increase my milk supply. As a first-time mom, I learned so much from her that I wish I had been taught at the hospital. She was knowledgeable, supportive, and great about following up afterward. I highly recommend Judy, especially for first-time moms who are having a difficult time with breastfeeding or pumping.

We were referred to Judy Li, IBCLC by our friends who are also first time parents. We first met via zoom a few weeks before our baby's expected delivery. We were discharged from Huntington on a Thursday and met with Judy the next afternoon. Judy arrived with a scale, PPE, and everything we needed for our in-home consult. The benefits of meeting in the comfort of our home were immense. We asked questions on bottles, nipples, pumps, feeding times, sleep schedules, bottle cleaning, milk storage, etc. Any question we had, Judy had an answer. In addition to questions, we were able to get real time feeding critiques and best practices. As a first time parent, we wondered and worried about every decision, but with Judy's guidance we felt more confident in everything we were doing for our baby. Judy is knowledgeable, personable, and provided great advice in the decisions we were making for our baby. Also, the literal next day, my wife's production milk kicked into high gear! If you are having a baby, schedule some time with Judy Li, IBCLC!!

As a first time mom I was struggling trying to figure out breastfeeding and starting to panic…read morebecause my pediatrician told me that my baby wasn't gaining weight as expected. She wanted me to formula feed asap because I was having trouble with getting a good latch on one side and unable to get a latch at all on the other. I felt so defeated but I didn't want to give up on breast feeding my baby. At first, I went to another LC. It was such a horrible experience. She basically took one look at my baby, then told me she had a lip tie that needed to get released, and that I needed to see a chiropractor because her neck was tight. There was no hands-on working with me on my latch. She really didn't do anything but tell me to continue to use my nipple shield. I was so discouraged after our meeting. I almost believed that what she said was my only option, but my gut feeling told me that she was wrong and I should find another LC. That's when we reached out to Tami from Loving Touch Lactation. She was so kind and reassuring over the phone, answered all my questions and left me feeling confident in her experience to have her come over. It was honestly the best decision we ever made. Let me tell you, she is a miracle worker!!! From our first visit she did a weighted feed and to my amazement she showed me how to latch on BOTH sides properly - She did address that my baby had a minor lip tie, but it did NOT need to be surgically released. Tami then created a game plan for me to become successful in building my supply/feeding to ensure my baby gained weight. With her guidance, I was able to ditch the nipple shields and successfully breastfeed my baby enough to bring her back up to the 98th percentile. We even had Tami come back when my baby turned 6 months for her baby led weaning session! It makes me so emotional to think about how much she has helped me achieve through my breast feeding journey. I literally could not have done it without her and we are so grateful. BEST DECISION EVER!!!

For the lengthier review, after interviewing her before booking her, we felt like we just clicked with Erin and her personality/vibe. We knew she would be the right fit for what we were looking for in our first homebirth experience let alone prenatal/birth experience in general. We began care with her at 13 weeks (because we took our dear time early pregnancy lol). Every appointment was filled with attentiveness, education, resources, care, laughs, hearing our baby's heartbeat, and an open field of questions and answers. Although my husband was on board with homebirth, he was still more uneasy about it in the beginning. After each appointment, he gained more and more confidence to the point where he was the one fielding questions by family members and friends during all of the holiday festivities. It was great! After months of appointments and preparation, it was time to meet our baby. Erin was available from the beginning signs of labor to answer my questions and be ready when the time was right to come over and help me through to the end. It was a long weekend for this first time mom, but once things picked up it was go time. Erin arrived the morning of our baby's birthday ready to assist but with just the energy that I would need. I would say I'm more mellow and less high energy personality-wise, and she met me at that level. What I love about Erin and I'm sure midwifery care in general is that everything is on an informed consent basis. She always asked me rather than forced me to do anything. It truly makes you feel empowered about your birth and not tossed around like you're just a patient. The next few hours consisted of checking on me and baby, the assistant midwife Joselle arriving, them filling up the pool, my water breaking over the toilet, laboring/trying to push in the tub, appreciating the suggestions Erin gave that helped me move forward in the pushing stage, and then after much time and depleted but determined effort on my part, meeting my beautiful daughter. In the moment there were so many times I felt like I couldn't keep going, but she and Joselle really helped me push through into the end and helped assist as needed through the last stages. We didn't know the gender until birth, and she made sure that we had full control over that process. It was such an amazing moment. As a first time mom, I listened to and read many birth and homebirth stories to prepare, but you really just don't know what to expect. I'm so grateful for the experience and being able to accomplish it. It was so incredible and beautiful, and I wouldn't trade it for anything because now I know what I am capable of. I ended up delivering on land, and most of those photos are not suitable for the internet, but I'll share some others. Postpartum care started immediately. They take care of you for as much time as necessary and make sure you are all settled in the moments after having your child. It truly was a great transition to motherhood. She's already visited us a couple times to check on me and our daughter. Nothing compares to this sort of treatment and care. You surely won't get this personalized care from your provider in a hospital. We are so happy we chose Erin as our midwife for this miraculous experience, and we surely will be using her next time we embark on this journey again. Thank you, Erin!
