SCAM ALERT - DON'T BE NEXT! Consigned many items May 2025. First time dealing with this store and new owner Emilie. Business uses online inventory system that was incorrect/incomplete from day one. I had to update/correct. Owner doesn't keep updated. That should have been my first red flag. During the contract period (approx 3 months) some items consigned sold. When I requested payment however, many items sold had not been noted to my account. After making effort to collect what was due me for the items sold I noticed items remaining consigned that should still be in-store "disappeared" before the end of my contract. I have tried unsuccessfully at least 5 times to recover missing items or get paid for the sale. My contract ended July 2025. Per contract, payment is to be requested and made within 90 days for items sold. Emilie doesn't show up or leaves minutes before I arrive in effort to avoid paying me or resolving the situation. A week ago (August 2025) she was a no-show again at her other business location the new thrift store next to Big Trees Market in Arnold where we were scheduled to meet. BOTTOM LINE, TO DATE EMILIE HAS NOT RETURNED MY PROPERTY AND HAS NOT PAID ME FOR THOSE ITEMS! I've initiated filing formal complaints to the appropriate parties and am considering small claims court. I have written documentation for everything in this post. CONSIGNERS AND BUYERS BEWARE. Consigners, you may not get your property back if it doesn't sell, you may not get paid if it does sell. Buyers, you may unknowingly be purchasing items that legally belong to someone else who will not get paid for your purchase. It's my understanding Emile is the new owner of this business for about a year now so reviewers please don't rely on any positive reviews for this busines prior to 2024 to guide you. read more

This is a cute little consignment store off of Highway 4. It also moonlights as a dry cleaning business! With ant consignment/antique type of store, they might have what you are looking for. I'd anything, it is fun to browse. Be sure to inquire on the pricing. If the item has been in the store past one month, the price will be discounted every month until it's sold. I did purchase a Christmas item that goes with my collection, but I'm kicking myself for not buying the Tiffany light fixture. NEXT! truly does corner the market with the upscale consignment in the Murphys/Arnold area. We combed all of the consignment and thrift stores to find our living room furniture, and this was the only place that had decent (eye pleasing) furniture to refurnish our 70s cabin. Nice owners. read more

I would absolutely not recommend this business. I went here for a FedEx service ...due to the owner not knowing her cut off time ha ha my package was not delivered in time as I paid for an overnight package. That caused a huge issue for me! It took three days for it to actually be delivered. I was told by the owner since this was her mistake she would refund me. She said she refunded me over the phone. I did not receive a refund. It's been a couple weeks. I still have nothing. I've contacted her a few times. She told me that there's nothing more she can do. I've contacted my credit card company and there is no refund. She is now not taking my calls. I've called from a different phone number and she picks up so that's how I know. I'm going to have to escalate this further in order to get my refund. Absolutely do not use any shipping services here. I am extremely disappointed in the dishonesty about my refund. She did not refund me and now I won't pick up my calls. read more

Today I finally had a chance to check out Upscale Resale in Murphys - what a fantastic little shop! There are so many awesome items in this shop - lots of great home items, mostly glassware but also some furniture and loads of linens. Everything is on consignment and priced with a discount based on how long it has been in the shop - something that has been on the shelf since last summer is something like 30% less than the marked price. I would also like to mention how CLEAN and sparkling everything is - this is no ordinary thrift store - this is definitely a great selection of high end crystal and glassware that is kept clean. The displays are eye catching and charming and there is so much to tempt! If they are open when you are passing - turn around and stop in to check it out! read more

Could not believe the owner and her TERRIBLY RUDE BEHAVIOUR. We were in previously this afternoon and spent $300 On misc items, had WONDERFUL dealings with Tish and owner Don, who graciously accepted a 10 percent less offer on a piece of furniture...we had spied a 3 piece set (sofa, chair and coffee table) that we were considering buying on our drive home to Sac. We decided we wanted to buy it, and called to make an offer. The female owner, whom we had not seen earlier answered the phone and was so rude, unpleasant and nasty that her husband had accepted an offer earlier, then proceeded to berate him while holding the phone and me listening!! While my family spend time at Angels Camp for vacation, we trolled into this store that impressed my wife and I. The store offers wide collection of high quality housewares plus souvenirs. Please do not be 'fooled' by the description 'Thrift Stores'. It is really a mini size 'Macy', :-) Most of all, the owner Don is a very friendly man, and he offered detail information of the area. Anice collection of home furnishings, decorator items and furniture but all of it is a bit pticey. I get that this is not a thrift store, but it is not an antique store. It is resale and I'd say they are priced a little high. They do break price on items that have been around awhile so some bargains are possible. The store is well organized and pleasant to shop. read more

This store was a pleasant accidental find. We walked into the store and the gentleman explained " how the store works". This is a consignments store and anything in the store over 30 days gets discounted in 10% increments every 30 days. They had a wide variety of old and new items. I left with two bags full!
