Wow, Costco pharmacy is going into quite a transformation. They have the entire area blocked off currently, even the aisles that used to not be part of the part pharmacy are blocked off. I asked one of the pharmacy techs what was happening and was told they are expanding the pharmacy first floor and also building a second floor, which will house all of the pharmacists, where they will work separately. I didn't quite understand what the actual expansion was about. It seems like a lot of work to add a second story so that the pharmacists can be upstairs while the bottom level is used for pick up. Clearly, I'm a little confused on the actual reason for the 2nd story expansion. They also have a new "pay ahead via text" as well as "pick up from a locker" which I think is great. The only thing that's annoying with the lockers is, if you need council, you have to sit there and do it at the lockers at the video screen. It's just weird and will take some getting used to. However, with that said... For what it's worth, I guess it's an improvement over having to wait 20 minutes in line to pick up a prescription. Cheers to not having to wait in long pharmacy lines any more, yahoo!

For some reason, only one of the two registers was open, and because it was closing time, everyone was lined up to pay, which took a while. Other than that, it was a productive visit.

Since I still had shopping to do, I asked if I could finish shopping instead of walking around the store with it. They directed me outside to find an orange push cart, which took some time. Keep in mind, I'm recovering from shoulder surgery. I asked if someone could help load it onto the cart and then into my truck. They said yes, but Axel was the only one who came out to help, and it was a pretty heavy piece. This is where Costco could learn from Best Buy. At Best Buy, they make it easy--they help get large purchases to your vehicle and load them up. Costco, great prices, but your customer service needs some work. Learn a thing or two from Best Buy!

Are all Costco's created equally?!…read more I have no idea, but I am constantly exploring new ones when I find them, and this Costco location in Loomis, California is my latest discovery. They've been open for almost a year, and it's taken me literally this long to check it out. This one just feels different and quite frankly I don't know that I can put my finger on it. Maybe it's the way the entrance and exit doors are situated, maybe it's the displays, maybe it's that still fresh feeling... I don't know but I can tell you I like it! This warehouse is incredibly well stocked, and I was able to find items here that I literally cannot and have not ever found or seen in the other warehouses that I shop at. The meat department is glorious! So many different cuts of meat, fish, poultry, I even found ground chicken packaged by Mary's. Mary's is more local to California and has a great reputation for quality poultry. The produce section was a little low, but it's also that time of year when California just doesn't have a lot of produce. Spring is just around the corner... As I perused up and down different aisles, putting more in my grocery cart than I had originally bargained for, it was almost like a treasure hunt, and I've loved every moment of it! If you live in the Sacramento area, where you happen to be driving through or near Roseville, which is just adjacent, shopping here is a great experience. Parking was easy! Yes, you read that correctly. Parking was not a problem. Finding a shopping cart was not a problem. The checkout lines, definitely were not a problem. The cashier was super sweet on top of it. Great shopping experience and definitely worth making this my go to in the area!

What is prominently noted in my brain: Loomis Costco is the ONLY Costco selling the Heirloom Eggs!
