A wood-fired pizza oven on wheels!…read more I haven't Yelped in a long time. But I just have to share this new business! Handmade pizzas + fresh ingredients + 900 degree oven = Absolutely delicious in about 5 minutes! That's faster than most drive-throughs these days. Not that I'm comparing them to drive-through food (I wouldn't dare insult Trailer Pie like that). One of my 5 favorite pizzas in Milwaukee just closed for business. I was so sad. But it's true what they say... one door closes and another one opens. Seriously, this is a 100% awesome variation on food trucks... and one of a very few that are worth following. So seek them out and enjoy!

No I do like french fries but I never been big on gourmet fries. But I decided to try this place and I fell in love with the cheddar and steak fries. These fries are created and served by kind, considerate and talented chef(s). These are not the kind of fries you can just pick up with your fingers, you definitely need a fork, and the portion sizes are totally satisfying. If you see this truck, just stop and order some fries. You can follow them on Instagram also at https://instagram.com/fullyloaded_mke?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=.

My brisket grilled cheese today was even better than the last time I had it, but I was told nothing in the recipes was changed. I guess I just missed eating it so much it tasted even better than I remembered. Great eats!

I was craving a burger and prayed to the food truck gods to bring one to me, and they actually did!…read moreRight across the street from my office, in front of the Chase building, I encountered Roll MKE and after a quick review of their menu, I ordered the MKE Burger. This burger had cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon jam, and burger sauce. It also came with chive fries...mmmmmm chive fries. They were pretty busy, which I generally take as a good sign, but I had to wait about 10 minutes for my burger. Not bad of a wait really. They called my name and presented me with my burger and fries. It looked great! I hurried by to my office, eating the delicious fries along the way. They were crispy, hot, salty, with just enough chives that you knew they were there but they didn't overpower. I dug into the burger as soon as I sat down. It was fantastic! The burger was cooked to a perfectly pink medium. The bacon jam was amazingly flavorful! I have no idea what burger sauce is but it was great. The lettuce and tomatoes were nice and fresh too. The sesame bun was nicely toasted and the cheddar cheese was nice and melty. I liked that the bun held up well and didn't fall apart while I was eating it. I was in burger heaven! I sure hope this food truck will come by regularly. The rest of their sandwiches sounded great too and I can't wait to try them!

After a couple of visits, Hidden Kitchen has landed on my list of favorite food trucks!…read more You may have seen Hidden Kitchen mentioned or listed at several physical locations because they sell pizzas out of MobCraft Brewery, offer catering, work from their food truck at various places around town, and recently set up a location with a commercial kitchen at the Eleven25 at the Pabst Food Hall at 1125 N. 9th. Street in Milwaukee. The Eleven25 location primarily sells hot or take-n-bake pizzas and fresh sandwiches. I think you'll currently get a better idea of their cooking skills from the food truck. The menu offers a handful of items, with most being seafood dishes, but there non-seafood options, as well as desserts. I enjoyed their lobster roll at the NEWaukee Night Market last summer, and recently LOVED their lamb gyro and crab cakes! They use actual lamb shoulder for the gyro instead of the strips of processed meat you typically get at a gyro joint. The lamb is tender and perfectly seasoned! The crab cakes are made with claw meat and they were perfectly crisp and delicious! I capped off the most recent meal with a slice of their key lime pie, and it exceeded my expectations. The pie crust is a bit fragile on the side, so it may detach from the pie filling when you get close to it, but the flavor and texture are right on! Now, I have their Mahi Mahi tacos and Reuben on my to-do list, based on the rave reviews I've seen on social media, but the menu changes often, so I hope I can keep up!

So that means I get to eat some of their amazing breakfast and lunch menu items when I'm at work! The breakfast items I've tried were the ham, egg and Swiss cheese breakfast sandwich and the bagel, lox and cream cheese breakfast sandwich. My favorite hands down is the bagel and lox. It was delightful packed with fresh cucumber, tomato, onion, capers, lox and cream cheese all on a griddle toasted bagel. For lunch I've had the pleasure of trying the Reuben, blackened salmon sandwich, Cubano and chicken gyro. All very very tasty and well made with great quality meats and fish. My favorites so far are the blackened salmon sandwich and the chicken gyro! These are must tries menu items!!! I highly recommend the food at this truck! I can't wait to try more menu items. I hear the mahi-mahi tacos are his specialty!

Their menu offered a lot of randomness. The special of the day was fried chicken but they also had a Mexican-style menu up. Since my friend loves Mexican food, I went that route. I asked for the steak tacos but the woman informed me that there wasn't enough to make a good serving. Disappointing, but I appreciate the honesty rather than get a wimpy taco. So instead I went with the ground beef taco combo. For $5.50 you get three huge tacos covered with freshly shredded cheese, pickled jalapenos, red sauce, sour cream, the works and a soda. (They had orange, grape, lemon iced tea and Pepsi). It was so good and just barely more expensive than taco bell. When I dropped off the tacos my friend said that he had been there before and that they have awesome burritos as well. I will have to look into these burrito claims but so far I am sold on this off-the-trail food truck.

But now that I've had Double Dub's in my life all other wings are nothing compared to them. The wings are perfectly cooked and dripping with sauce. Big juicy wings that there are plenty of meat on so you don't feel like you're not getting what you paid for. Service is always super fast, and I appreciate that they give you pagers so you don't have to keep track of when your food is supposed to be done or be standing around waiting but the truck. I like that they stuck with the theme throughout the naming of their sauces, the different meals that are offered, and the decor of their truck. The staff has always been super nice and helpful for answering questions. Also this is the only establishment I've found where I will order the fries every single time over the tater tots. I've had their tater tots and they're perfectly good tater tots, but Double Dub's does something to their fries that makes me want to get a job there just to know how they're made and seasoned. I dream of both their wings and fries, and I may have a new final last meal now that I've discovered the wonder that is Double Dub's.

I appreciate that the bread is homemade, and that it's a pita/naan type bread. However with all the wetness of the chicken, it got real mushy real fast. Not so bueno, especially when you're eating at a park on the ground. The fries are a waste. They were bland and also pretty mushy. I'd consider ordering from here again because the chicken meat itself was delicious, but considering all the other trucks that come to the event local to my fiancee's house, there's better options.

Food truck Friday!…read more I have noticed this food cart/truck always seem to be popular, and thought I would give it a try. I got the special today - 2 chicken chimichangas, and they were really good! It came with beans and rice, a little bit of salad and some avocados all in this little container. Really quite a bit of food for $7.75! Only suggestion for improvement was that they only have forks to give out, and you really did need a knife to cut the chimichangas, or just use your hands. Fortunately I brought it back to my place of work where I had all kinds of utensils.

I chose the three chicken tacos with everything minus jalapenos. What I got was a massive amount of food and all for well less than $10. Very fresh, the tortillas tasted like they'd been made that morning and the pico de gallo was nice and zippy, and the avocado slices were cut right from the avocado on top of my tacos. It was a little hard to eat that much food, but I managed to do it. There are some tables and chairs nearby along Mason Street by the river so you don't necessarily have to take lunch back to your desk. There is always a line and that's a good thing. Cash only, as far as I could tell.
