We visited the 3rd Street Market Hall to try a different vendor, but they were closed so we took the chance to try SapSap.
My spouse went for the Pad Krapow, since they were out of the dill sausage dish he first chose. I opted for the drunken noodles - always a favorite. I'm very pleased they have regular vegetarian food on their menu now.
We ordered spice level 2 on a scale of 1 to 5. They aren't playing with the levels. Both our dishes were quite spicy, buildiing heat steadily on the tongue. Both were also generous portions.
His was layered generously with ground pork and a fried egg and was very good.
Mine had excellent flavor as well, under the heat, and plenty of fresh vegetables - broccoli and carrots and baby corn.
Service was kind of meh and half-hearted, but nothing terrible.
It does really irk me to pay $3 for a diet Coke or Coke. That's egregious. The food hall ambiance is pretty loud and distracting, even on a Monday evening, but there are plenty of tables around in various areas.
I'll try SapSap again on a visit - the food was great. read more
