I've just today had a terrible experience in this store. A store I've shopped in many times in the…read moreyears I've lived here. I bought this tin of Cavendish and Harvey Sour Cherry Drops last week. And just like you when I got home I put the tin up and tossed the receipt. When I opened the tin yesterday I found the seal had been punctured. I pulled the seal and the Drops had all melted together as you can see in the pictures. My wife, ever concerned for my well-being, advised me to not eat the candy. So I returned to the store, ready for an exchange or refund. They REFUSED to do either. Oh they had their reasons, number 1 among them was I didn't have my receipt. The store manager could not reach the owner whom I offered to talk to, or I could come back some other time and maybe catch up with the owner. So I won't tell you not to shop there, times are difficult for everyone these days. But I will not shop there again and when I need a lemon drop for a long car ride I'll make do with a bag of them from Walmart or CVS. There just sugar and flavor after all. But I will suggest that you look closely at every purchase you might make from that store and don't toss your receipt until you do. Or maybe they'll treat you better than they treated me. I've driven past locations around the Greater Richmond area and Charlottesville. Over my winter break for work, I decided to finally check it out. This grocery store is madness, but also incredible. We went on Christmas eve so it was PACKED. It was still a lot of fun. It feels like they have every brand or food item you could possibly think of here. My fiancé and I treated ourselves to some fancy and yummy groceries. My favorite sections of the store were the cheese stations (very organized with so many yummy cheeses to pick from), the mushroom section (almost every variety of mushroom lived here), and the wine section (I finally found Lillet). Like Whole Foods, they do have a food court-like sections. We enjoyed some pizza before we started shopping. There was plenty of parking out front. It's a huge place. If you're looking for a grocery food adventure, this is the place to do it.

That taste test made me wish I had gotten more. Rainbow Trout Kitchen's Classic Granola - 1 pound $10. 99 and can be shipped anywhere in the US for $7. I opted for local pickup at their commercial kitchen. I could smell the aroma of warm cinnamon before I reached the door. While chatting with one of the owners I learned that Rainbow Trout Granola is also available at a few local merchants. I can only recall Libby Market, Yellow Umbrella, and Good Foods but there were other retailers.

I picked up a bag with a mix of different candies for $20, and it's going to last quite a while. There's only street parking available, but if you're patient and circle the block a couple of times, you can usually find a spot opening up.

I highly recommend ordering goodies from the vendors then having a picnic in Forest Hill Park. On my recent visit, I bought some rainbow carrots, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, fennel, and Europa fresh bread. As it gets colder there can be fewer vendors, but they carry everything you could hope and dream of. I loved checking out a vendor that sold holiday candles.
