Called Whitey's through recommendation from my auto shop. Whitey's arrived in less than 30 mins (depending on location) and got my car towed to my auto shop. Gave the driver a handsome tip . If you use AAA don't bother waiting on Whiteys towing. I called AAA at 11 AM to tow my Audi from Washington to Morgantown. I called repeatedly over an 8 hour time span and was told it would be 45 minutes longer every time if they answered me at all. Once my car was brought home at 10:50 PM (nearly 12 hours later) the driver proceeds to inform me they used the wrong tow hook and dropped my Audi which rolled into their building causing roughly $2,300 worth of damage. When I got upset the driver had the audacity to tell me I should calm down even though he had a 45 minute drive worth of time to tell me up front he damaged my car but instead waited until he showed up at my house 12 hours after my initial call to AAA to tell me in person. I was already upset I waited 12 hours for my car, imagine my frustration when I get it back in poor condition. For nearly 2 months I requested a letter asking them to promise to pay for the damage and was either treated rudely and told "I dont know what you're talking about" or given false promises of a letter or call back which never happened. Thankfully they did pay for repairs but the entire process was a nightmare. Save yourself the hassle and REFUSE Whiteys towing when AAA offers their service because they probably won't show up anyways and you'll be left stranded and frustrated. read more

I would give this company 0 Zero Stars if possible. Today my car broke down and I called AAA for a tow. I waited 2 hours before calling for an update of arrival time. They called the company and was told the tow truck would be there around 4 PM. I received another update from AAA that it would be 4:15 PM. I called the tow truck company directly at 4:30 for an update and was informed a truck could be available in 30 minutes....that is until the dispatcher realized I was a AAA member. He then yelled at me and told me to call AAA, he told me it would be over an hour more of a wait. I thought that was very interesting since he just informed me that he had a truck available to pick me up sooner. What I learned is that this company accepts call from AAA but then pushes them to the last on the list when they receive a call from another customer who is not AAA member. This dispatcher who answered my call was unbelievably rude to me. He wouldn't even allow me to finish a question. He even used the phrase "listen to me lady" when I was asking a question. I've never been treated so poorly by any company I was a paying customer to. I received an email from the wife of the owner who said my issue was with AAA. That they should have sent my job to another company. She also told me that AAA gives estimates without calling the company first. What she didn't know was that AAA spoke to her dispatcher 3 times Not one mention by her to the fact that they accepted the tow. Her excuse was they're only a "back up" for AAA for this area. And she actually told me my issue with with AAA and not this company. The wife of the owner admitted that she knew nothing about my issue or what had occurred, but yet she felt very comfortable telling me who was to blame. Having to get towed is never fun but these guys were the nicest to deal with. My aaa covered the tow but James the driver was so nice and helpful and they were so accommodating helping me out with some weird logistical stuff that needed done. Highly recommend read more

Long story short... we blew a transmission line on I-70 east, and our insurance dispatched Whitey's Towing to take us to a nearby Ford dealership. Our tow truck driver, "Joe with the duck tattoo" was friendly, professional, and funny. He really was able to make us laugh despite the stressful situation being so far from home. I didn't want to give them the one star, but had to , to write the review. We had a dead battery, they said we'll be there within the hour. They never came so I called again, said they'd be there in 26 minutes! They were legit 10 minutes from me. Then get a call that they should arrive by midnight! I placed my first call at 10pm. Tony did a great job getting our daughter out of a ravine. She was on her way to work for the graveyard shift and hit a patch of black ice. She went off the road and was down in a ravine about 15 to 20 feet deep. I thought it was impossible, but Tony got it done and with a great sense of humor with the situation. While I hope to never need towing service again, I hope that if I do, I can call on Tony at Whitey's Towing. read more

Would not recommend this company to anyone! The driver was rude and unprofessional and even started yelling at me at one point! Called the manager, Kenny, he said he would call me personally when he got back to take care of matter. When he finally called he gave me the run around, without my car ever being towed. My main issue is that he is okay with his employees talking to whoever however they want. Horrible Customer Service. Would give zero stars if possible, extremely displeased with service. Im surprised AAA hasn't taken them off their list of people they work with! read more
