Whites Body works and the manager Philip White trashed my classic car. I took them to court and won £125,000 in damages. On top of that he would have had to pay litigation costs which is they were anything like mine would have been anything in excess of £50,000. The car was sent for scrap afterwards. Whites were contracted to return my motorcycle to a safe and roadworthy condition, investigate a knocking from the engine, repair the main stand and investigate play in the swing arm. Whites had the bike for over 3 months and charged over £12K for the work. The machine was returned with multiple fuel leaks, misaligned rear wheel, sticking throttle/damaged throttle cable and the stand was not repaired. I contacted Whites who denied touching these items, even though they sent pictures contrary to this. They then pathetically said that they didn't realise they were meant to fix these items. What part of safe and roadworthy is so difficult to understand. The bike was returned to Whites where they attempted to realign the rear wheel but left the chain excessively tight. They replaced the insecure perished fuel hoses with oversized items and proceeded to state there was nothing wrong with the bike, it was totally roadworthy and rode like a dream. The bike was returned to me, it still had multiple fuel leaks that had not been checked as there was no fuel in the tank. I asked Whites how it rode so well with no fuel and a mileometer that had increased by less than 1/10 of a mile. Whites stated they would get witnesses to say it had all been done. Whites charged over £750 for spares. I requested multiple times for receipts to prove these spares were purchased, no receipts have been produced, leading us to think the spares were never purchased, this is fraud. Receipts/invoices have been requested for all monies paid, none have been produced, possibly as Whites are not declaring their income to HMRC. When they have provided receipts to other customers they have not been proper VAT receipts, again possibly indicating monies are not being declared to the taxman. Concerns are now being reported to HMRC and Trading Standards, easily done via Citizens Advice, who have advised the more complaints received the more chance of prosecution or conviction. Whites are also guilty of total misrepresentation of their operations. Neither Whites Bodywork's nor Whites Vehicle Transport are registered with Companies House. The 4 individuals listed on their web site are now being investigated and added to the Trading Standards complaint. They have numerous fake reviews across the internet, there are more than 20 on their Facebook pages alone. Trading Standards are now being made aware of this misrepresentation. read more

Asked him to repair a dent in a motorbike petrol Tank. He rang me a couple of days later and asked if I could pay over the phone with a debit card cos he didn't like to handle cash. Stupidly I paid. Then rang and said he could meet me on that evening half way to my house to deliver it. We met in the dark. I took the tank home and the dent was still there. I commissioned a full rust repair & respray on my wife's convertible, whilst away in the southern hemisphere. We agreed terms face to face, I agreed to drop off the car a few days later. IMMEDIATELY, the hourly labour rate went up £25, vat was added ( none previously) & timescale increased. A holding deposit of £1000 was now required since " we don't work in arrears"! We hadn't left, so I queried all. Rate was reduced (( a mistake), vat was removed ( an error) timescale reverted- I wanted the car ready on my return. I paid the £1000 under duress. 24 hrs later, whilst still heading south, another payment was demanded. I queried how much labour possible in 24 hrs-& requested pics. Photos then sent showed utter vandalism with the interior torn out ( no need for an external respray), door handles & rear bumper off.About 3 hrs work - mostly not needed. I declined to pay more until my return. The car was pushed outside and left to fill with water. We visited on a working day once back- ( no one there- all locked up) to find the car soaked, stripped, most parts missing. The CD stacker , electrics & speakers were submerged in the sodden boot, with limited trim. I felt Phil White intended to hold us to ransom, so family arranged the car to be snatched. Once home, I requested keys or I would include locksmith costs in my Summons. Eventually supplied. I asked for all the trim- which was dumped ( by arrangement) outside the Unit. I asked for £750 back- eventually paid. I made clear, throughout of my exact timescale for proceedings; that I knew of previous Judgements & that I intended to enforce- possibly with other unpaid CCJ's. When sorting, we found the manuals & service history floating in the back. Ruined. I cannot begin to describe how I feel about Phill Whites Coachworks- which appears to be a massive con to attract funds. numerous weekday visits to site I only found anyone there on 2 occasions, when we met, & when I delivered. I subsequently found an honest bodyshop, who have done the job asked, in the agreed timescale. Having read this be under no doubt. Similar to so many reviews, I have come across, unfortunately after I had put faith in this company. My father had passed away and left me a vintage motorcycle, I contacted Whites with a long to do list, and they agreed they could take it on, their day rate was expensive but I assumed they would deliver much within each allotted days work. I then spent four months chasing for an update, resorting to Whatsapp, when mails were ignored. Always an excuse. By December; the reality being I had spent £1400.00 to procure three cables and an oil change. I stated that the bike would need to be collected (no response to that mail either), the bike arrived back soaking wet, in a dirtier condition that it had arrived and now does not run properly. Paid £820 up front for kick-start to be repaired on a 1952 Lambretta going to auction. Was unable to personally verify work had actually been done. Still waiting for relevant itemised invoice. Have been lied to several times over the phone about document being sent. Calls and messages no longer being answered, still waiting for important document. Do not trust this firm. read more

I paid £84 for them to collect my Buell. They never did collect it and failed to turn up 3 times. I cancelled and Phil White refused to refund, he then stopped answering the phone. I gave him 14 days to pay, he still didn't. I took out a Court Order against him and he still refused to pay, then offered less than full amount.
