Started every time great for a 09 plate. I called her Sophia after Sophia Loren as she was Italian and beautiful. Had some welding done round the sides and front but all in all was a great bike until someone stole her about 2 weeks ago the bastards. Found her in the woods behind my flats, all smashed up a total write off. She was insured for 3,000 hey why not after everything bit of work I had done. I cried like a baby for hours actually days. Four months ago I bought a Piaggio maxi scooter at CD Scooters. The staff gave me their full attention and the whole transaction turned out to be a pleasant, inspiring experience. I was tentative about switching to scooter riding (especially that day, given that I had nearly a hundred miles of wet and stormy A-roads ahead of me) but Kevin's full account of the bike's character, design and history was confidence-inspiring. I was shown how to carry out basic maintenance checks and procedures on that particular bike (tires, brakes, oil), and the one idiosyncrasy of the bike was honestly pointed out to me (difficulty disabling traction control). Between being shown the bike itself to doing all the paperwork we exchanged many words about biking experiences and the biking industry and it became clear that this is a very sincere, family-run business where knowledge-sharing and an outstanding level of consideration for customers is normal practice. I have ridden the bike in high intensity commuting for three months and it has lived up to expectations. In times when not in danger of pressuring the NHS, I had used the bike every single day, reassured that I could bring it back to CD Scooters in the event of any damage or maintenance needs. read more

I'm not a scooterist but recently got back to riding bigger motorbikes after a long break since the 80s and 90s when I had various Yamaha XS twins. Looking for a lid and other gear I at first went to a couple of Yamaha main dealers but was firmly put off by absolute ripoff prices and the huge entitlement attitude of these places. CD is very near to where I work so I thought what the hell give them a go on a lunch break. They are real motorcyclists, with time to explain products on sale and even chat about bike (carb) problems free of charge. A refreshing change from the big guys. I ended up buying my lid and GF's lid there, and GF also bought me some gauntlets there last Christmas. Prices were good and all items have proved fine. Thumbs up as far as I'm concerned. read more

Just had my Vespa GTS serviced and engine mountings replaced. V unfussy, knowledgable, efficient staff. I didn't know the engine mounts needed replacing - I do now, the bike rides like new. Completely straightforward process from start to finish - highly recommend them. read more

having previously once received good service at cd scooters i took my new and troublesome bike to them £250 later ,it ran for 3 weeks then broke down ,they claimed it was the way i was riding it ! The owner was offensive sexist and threatening to me, and charged me £54 pounds to take the bike to the shop less than 1mile journey .The mechanic who had previously been pleasant and courteous ,also accused me of exaggerating the the fault evident on the exhaust they fitted until he rode it himself .They refused to fit a new fault free exhaust but rather sent a recording of the excessive noise it was making to the manufacturer. Do not use this company they are happy to take your money but after sale service is dreadful and there is a bullying,sexist aire about the Owner. read more

it has taken me over 2 months to get my scooter back my only mode of transport. after alot of wrangling and some deal about the warranty which is still valid they still wanted 130 pounds. total ripoff. rude shoddy service and did not leave me messages on my phone about what was going on. after over 2 months still did not have scooter do not service here. read more
