After hearing the story that one dog escaped and one supposedly died from heat stroke tells me all I need to know.... With Arizona getting as hot as it gets in the summer who in their right mind would leave a dog out in the heat at 112 degrees and not to mention a dog escaping, I mean what kind of trainer doesn't have control over the dogs they are suppose to train. And the lack of compassion and taking responsibility for the mistakes is very unprofessional. I hope the dog that escaped was found and the dog that SUPPOSEDLY died from heat stroke is found and this "dog trainer" finds a new profession. About 5 months we got a new puppy (pit bull) he was a crazy puppy like puppies are lol. We wanted to make sure he was well mannered. I researched several trainers. I then came across Whiteheart k9. I reached out to Terry, he explained the training in detail and how in 5 weeks our new puppy would be listening and to commands and not running. Honestly I was thinking there is no way this new puppy will reach that point in 5 weeks. Well it's been 5 weeks as of today. My girlfriend and I got our dog Jasper trained with WhiteHeart K9 and it has truly changed our lives! Jasper became aggressive suddenly towards our other three dogs in the house and it really began to cause stress and fear. The tension rose in our house and we were scared to let them all interact with one another. Our once sweet and loving dog was unpredictable and it began to cause secondary issues. Terry has been SO amazing to our family and dogs. He took our dog with aggression issues towards other dogs and was able to correct her and we have only had 5 issues in over 10 months that she EASILY corrected with just a nick. She kept her personality which I was worried about losing before Terry took her but is so much better behaved. We can take her anywhere now and people love how good she is. Terry just took our 5 month old puppy for training as we are training him to be our son's service dog. I'll be so excited to get him back with the foundations so we can further his training easily at home. We had hit a plateau with him in treat training and needed help to get past the hump and go further. Terry has always been available to answer questions after finishing training and wants our dogs to be as successful as we do. Just make sure to adopt his philosophy with training and dog behavior. It was hard for us to adopt one thought in particular- getting on the couch. We always allow them on the couches. We ended up with battling the dogs getting on the chairs to get to the table and Terry explained the dogs dont see a chair as different than the couch. We are now training to keep them off the couch UNLESS we invite them. My dog in 2 days now understands why she is getting nicked and is currently sitting next to my feet on the floor. I'm soooo glad I found Terry! I was planning on bringing a shelter pit bull into my 3 older dog household and just had a feeling I would need some help with this! Well little did I know I would need A LOT of help as Ripley didn't know any better and my dogs were just behaving as they normally would. Ripley has vision and hearing problems, (we are still trying to pinpoint other health woes) and when one of my dogs barked she got startled and attacked my other dog! Very scary stuff as I had never seen a dog fight, especially involving one of my babies. I was upset because I had no idea how I was going to handle this situation and Terry suggested he take Ripley to get her some foundation training. 10 days later (along the way I got video and text updates) Ripley came home and was doing so much better! I was confident everything would work out and then there's where the wheels came off a little. I am a too permissive dog owner (of my own admission!) and I let Ripley have more freedom than she knew how to handle. I wasn't a strong leader like Terry had been with her and had showed me how to be. I would text Terry a lot to ask questions and he was so quick to answer and had been the utmost professional! After much stressing out (on my part) about another dog fight he came over for a follow up and we worked out a new plan as I needed probably as much (or more) training than Ripley haha. Miracle worker! I adopted a lab puppy at 6 weeks to become my service dog. I love her to pieces but the girl is a handful as are most labs. I expected this but after I got her I became sicker and sicker. I needed a miracle and I got one with Terry! I had tried to train my dog myself with no luck and my last straw was when I brought her to Petsmart to get groomed and she knocked me to the ground and I was covered with bruises. Back-story is that I am extremely ill and I break bones at the drop of a hat. That was the last straw. I came home and went onto Yelp and started to look for a trainer. White Heart K9 had a 5Star rating so I sent Terry a message and met with him the next day. I was so impressed with his professional manner and the way he explained how he would work with my wild child of a puppy. She was only 9 months at the time. The entire time he is talking to us she is acting like a complete brat and he is unfazed. I thought if this guy is not running for this hills then he is the trainer for me. Terry agreed to take on Coco and I crossed my fingers. Well I could not begin to tell you the difference in my Coco! She left this dog who drug me like a rag doll when she was on the leash, would not behave in the house and knew little manners and returned this amazing dog that I could barely recognize! I have taken her for a walk in my neighborhood daily and she is amazing. She stays at my side and does not drag me around. She stops when I stop. Walks when I walk. With or without the leash. This is not the same dog! While she was with Terry I was put on a feeding tube. Terry was wonderful making sure she would not be afraid of the equipment and worked with her extra hard because he wanted to make sure she would not hurt me when she returned. Today I returned to the scene of the crime and went back to Petsmart. If she could go into this place with me without leaving me injured well the Terry she be given a national holiday. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing my girl was today. She was perfect the entire time. I walked her past birds, cats, and other dogs and she stayed in command the entire time. There we met a man who recommended we look up Terry for dog training because he has also used him and was blown away by the quick results. 5 weeks later and Ryder is so well behaved and obedient and still has his puppy personality. I had reached the end of my rope with my three year old lab, Cody. He was overly excitable and suffered from separation anxiety. I had come to hate having company over, because he got so excited when the doorbell rang, and would bark and jump on our friends. The morning that Terry picked up Cody for "Boot Camp" Cody met him at the door with his usual over excited routine. It didn't faze Terry, as he calmly discussed the training he planned for Cody. Off they went, and we enjoyed a quiet time with our older lab, while Cody was at "Boot Camp". Terry texted updates\photos on his work with Cody. Terry returned with Cody yesterday morning and after discussing Cody's training with us, we all went off for a 30 minute walk. Just met with Terry today with my Border Collie "Max" I interviewed more than one trainer. I trained dogs many years ago and needed some help with "Max" For the most part Max was pretty good but I knew I needed some training myself to get Max pass a certain behavior. I tried to explain Max would go from good puppy to "I'm going to get that other dog" Well within a few minutes we had someone walking his dogs and Max acted up. Well Terry showed him who was boss and it wasn't Max. It was awesome within less than 30 seconds Max started to understand. Can't wait till next week and work more with WhiteHeart K9. I knew I needed someone to show me. Not only can he train the dog but the owner too well worth it.
