Food trucks provided nourishment and snacks for those who spent the day. We are older, so didn't have the energy for an all-day stay but put in several hours. The only thing I would say is it would have been nice to have some hay bales or something to rest on for we older folks. That field is BIG. I noticed one gentleman pulling a wagon with two folding chairs in it...smart guy!! While I wouldn't travel more than a couple of hours to get there, the location was on our way to another destination. I was actually looking for a venue to sell some of my collection of vintage sewing machines, but didn't feel the this market was an appropriate one for me. All in all, it was a fun day and I think we bought one or two items, but am waiting to go to the one near Denton: we were told that one focuses a lot on auto and farm-related stuff so that may not be our target market either. Still fun for a day trip!

My wife did research on antique events in the area and found this on Facebook…read more The Barn at Lloyd's Dairy hosts this event twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The dates for 2023 are March 25-26 and October 15-16. This 800 acre century farm was well organized and and fun. Parking was well marked and signage was easy to read and helpful. We arrived about 1:30pm on Saturday afternoon after a light spring rain. We purchased our tickets online in advance and there is a discount for purchasing two-day tickets and since we weren't sure what to expect it worked well. The tickets were $7.00 each and we felt that was very reasonable. If you purchase tickets at the even it is $5.00 per day. The majority of vendors had booths outside in the field while some were inside the barn. Our guess is there were approximately 60-75 vendors in total. We found a few treasures for our home and enjoyed strolling through on a beautiful spring day with talking with others who also enjoy vintage and antique items like we do. There were several food vendors as well along with some bakery related items and well maintained portable toilets. We learned that in addition to the Tarheel Antiques Festival, which they have hosted for the past five years, Lloyd's Dairy Farm hosts other events throughout the year such as the Tarheel Balloon Festival, Battle of the Blues Polo Festival and Feargrounds Haunted Barn and Hayride, www.lloydsdairy.com. Overall this was a great event and we enjoyed ourselves.
