I had a full on crash out the other day. I'm not proud of it, but it happened. I work in…read moreentertainment, so I travel a lot. I take my cats on the road. Anyhow, Buster got sick. He was really sick for the first time. I thought he might puke himself to death, so I ended up taking him to the cat hospital. When I got there, they snatched him and put me alone in an interrogation room... for two hours. Then they showed up with paperwork that indicated I had to sign and agree to a $1500 fee if I wanted them to fully resuscitate him. The second page of the paperwork listed all of the tests they were going to do on him once I signed. The bill for the tests at the bottom came to just under 6k. I asked if the vet had even looked at Buster. "Not until you sign the paperwork." And then, I flipped the fuck out. I had a complete Steel Magnolias moment. I started screaming. "I don't care how much it costs, give me my cat right now." They brought Buster back to me and we left. I called someone I knew who was local to Arizona and she told me to take Buster to Petsvet. I called Petsvet, and they got him in immediately. The doctor examined Buster right away, and I told her my story. I mentioned that we were from the City and Buster had only been to one doc on the UWS his whole life and he'd never been this sick before. I also told the doc that I had just flipped out in the place where I took Buster first, but admitted that I overreacted and explained that I'm from New York and never had any experience like that before. She seemed to understand. She looked at me, nodded and said, "Don't worry. I'm from New York too. I've got this." Anyhow, she fixed Buster. He's not perfect yet, but he's a thousand percent better. I am so relieved that I was lucky enough to find Petsvet. I don't like writing bad reviews, so I'm not going to trash the first place I went in AZ, but I wanted to take a moment and tell you that I give Petsvet my highest recommendation for their care of Buster, their professionalism, their obvious love of animals and the people who take them on tour.

Dexter was a rescue that had been severely mistreated as a puppy and was nursed back to health and was an outstanding companion and great, friendly boy to all for his entire life. My health issues caused me to have to opt to have Dexter's remains cremated in a community group. I left broken hearted and thought that was the end. But, NO! The place that was to cremate him has other ideas! They called to up sale me, basically told me I was an uncaring pet parent. Total BS, but yesterday they emailed me, 6 days later, to up the ante and offer me a lock of Dexter's fur, or a paw print, or have Dexter cremated solo and returned to me. I thought this was cruel, but they weren't satisfied yet. No, they promised to contact me every day for another week to offer me an opportunity to change my mind. So, here I am at 2:30 in the morning, can't sleep, upset, shaking and feeling worse than I felt on June 10th. PetsVet this is the vendor you chose to entrust Dexter's final care to and they failed on an epic scale! I thought you should know and you need to do better.

Not long after checking them out my pup told me it was time and we went immediately to them on a Friday morning when they opened. They had the perfect room for him. It was the corner one with the big window. My pup loved being outside and it was the perfect spot for him, he stared outside the window into nature. They gave us a whole cart of treats to give to him and the doctor and staff was so kind and compassionate. The staff from the very first time we walked in to the time I was called to pick his ashes up was absolutely amazing. It was the only time they truly saw him and it felt like they had cared for him so many times before. I couldn't of ask for a better place and staff to have my dog cared for. They were so kind to us and even complimented on how good he was but that was his demeanor, he was always kind and sweet. Thank you Scottsdale animal Hospital! You made a tough experience easy and smooth and made us feel welcomed.

The vet came in next we discussed the options, he has arthritis and allergies. She let us know of an injection for arthritis we never knew existed. She really loves animals and out dog, who is a ham. We asked going forward if we could get a room immediately and they said yes and asked if we wanted one with an exit door, so our dogs do not have to go through the waiting room. We said yes. Again never asked that by any vet. You can pay right in the room, another win. We have another dog who needs to be looked at. I can tell you as someone who just moved here, we will use them 100% for all our dogs and their needs! Added bonus we are able to schedule with the same vet going forward, which is great because they get to know your pet and their personality.

Well, i was there Friday night and talked to 6 other dentist offices that would not even take the time to talk to me or give me an idea as to what to do in such pain. May from Nice Nice Dental called me back and took care of me. So kindly. And sent me to get pain meds and found a way to get the dentist to see me first thing the next [Saturday] morning. The goodness kept going from there. I now have a plan to fix my tooth and a few other things i need to take care of. I come from a long history of trauma with my teeth - many surgeries, root canals and implants... i mentioned my painful history and Dr Cooke could not have handled me any better. I am super grateful i found them, even if the onset was the worst pain i have ever felt! I recommend this office for anyone who thinks being treated kindly, with respect, and likes an extra mile of compassion... It was literally the most thorough dental exam I've ever had, with digital X-rays (including the panos that my last dentist didn't do), CT scans if needed, lots of photos, a tooth-by-tooth evaluation, oral cancer screening, even looking at mobility, jaw movement, etc. (Finally my knowledge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle comes in handy.) Dr. Pappas even pointed out something I'd brought up to a different dentist years ago and had completely forgotten about. He's also very transparent about whether a treatment can wait or needs to be done right away. The hygienist I had was also very thorough, so I definitely felt like I was in good hands all around. I switched here after a decade at a different dental clinic that had been cutting a lot of corners. As someone without specialized knowledge, navigating dental care can be frustrating and time-consuming. I find it so frustrating--as someone with no real knowledge of dentistry--when I feel like I to have to spend time attempting to research what dentists or other doctors should be doing so I can make sure they actually do it, or to figure out what to do about pain or issues they dismiss or tell me to ignore. We all have enough things to worry about without trying to become amateur dental or medical researchers. So it's a breath of fresh air to go somewhere like Arcadia Dental Arts where I can just kick back and relax knowing they're covering all the bases. Also the office is really nice, and it's right near Lola Coffee. And they have a super cute new patient gift bag, which was a nice touch! Glad to have found a new dental home.
