This last year or so, everytime I come here I've had delicious good. I'm not sure what's so different now but I'm happy! Tonight was yet again another success. Great food, our server was so kind and checked up on us. My boyfriend almost always gets their CBC because it's always that good, I also recommend it. I highly recommend the roasted Brussel sprouts in a ceaser dressing with crisp bacon and shaved Parmesan. I believe even a Brussel sprouts hater could be turned into a lover with these. Burger was nice and juicy and tender, bun was soft and buttery with just the right amount of crisp, not overly sauced, and the banana peppers added the perfect acidity to the fat of the beef. They changed up the cut of their sweet potato fries I've noticed, to be more like a shoelace string fry(and I have to say I prefer them this way!) Perfect cook on them. Quite likely the worst burger on the planet. I remember going to a White Spot was a real treat, but last night ,not so much. Long gone were the days when the Triple O was dripping off you wrists. These things were dry and withered and tasteless, fries were dry withered and tasteless. I thought it might get better but guess what, it didn't. When the bill arrived I had sticker shock, for the price of two cheese burger platters we could have had a meal at a real restaurant. There is better value at the Wendy's across the parking lot. The server was fine but did not ask how the meal was. My wife made me promise not to take her there again, she felt we were ripped off. read more

Ordered 2 burgers from DoorDash. Due to White Spot problem they took well over an hour to send. They were cold. Heated them in the microwave to find they were way, way too peppery, not edible. The Caeser salad had wilted lettuce and the dressing was sour. All went into the garbage. Really gone downhill:( read more

I really do enjoy White Spot, mainly because of the healthy options they have. It's good quality & healthy options with well rounded flavours. I took my mother to this location last week Saturday June 16, which was actually White Spots 90th Birthday (congrats white spot haha.) We were greeted by Gloria, she is truly the perfect person to have front of house greeting & seating people. Very warm, welcoming and polite. And she looked very nice too, her makeup was very well done. :) Our waitress was Toni and she was such a delight. You know when you meet someone and you can just tell that they have the most genuine, kind & humble soul? Well that's Toni. Simply a naturally beautiful and wonderful human. :) A few people sat themselves in her section (they decided to not follow Gloria to the seats she wanted to seat them at), so she was double / triple sat at one point, but she handled it graciously and her calming demeanour made it look easy. My mother also really liked her. Her attentiveness and attention to detail was nice too. We had these cauliflower bites to start, they were awesome! Ahhh I loved them! SO flavourful! My mother had the brunch sandwich and she really liked it along with the endless "smashbrowns." I tried a couple, they were so crispy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside. Delicious. I had the grilled chicken burger wrapped in a lettuce "bun", it had bell peppers and healthy layer of lettuce. It was so fresh & I loved it. Went here with my family for lunch-just came across it and decided to try it. It was a good place for lunch. It's a typical coffee shop style with booths and tables. There was a bar with a TV next to the restaurant area. They had some pirate flags around and for kids their meal comes in a "pirate boat." which was fun. I had the Mediterranean chicken burger sandwich with a caesar salad. The sandwich was very good, lemon herb chicken breast that came with feta cheese, sliced cucumbers, red peppers, lettuce, tomato, and tzatiki. The mix of flavors was very good. The Caesar salad was one of the side dish choices (other choices were fries, green salad or cole slaw). Service was good and I'd go back again. read more

Good breakfast fresh made good ingredients. We had stacks of pancakes, oatmeal and fruit, and a delicious sandwich called the BC Sony special. It was unique and delicious. Place was nice and clean. Unfortunately there was only one waitress working this morning and she had way too many tables to take care of for prompt and fast service. The food was good, but our waitress was kind of distant. She wasn't very social, only came when she needed to come. Maybe I'm just not used to the service done in Canada, but it was a little awkward. I would go back, but that's mostly due to the fact that there wasn't very many choices. read more

Went for breakfast there with friends visiting from out of town. Overall the breakfast was Blah. No jams or anything for the toast, never got a coffee refill. First, the service is great. The wait staff are all friendly and polite, though it seems you are always---ALWAYS---kept waiting for a table far too long. HOWEVER despite the good service, every time I've been to this location in the past 2 or 3 years, the wait time is totally unacceptable. Last Friday, my birthday, we were seated at 6.10, ordered immediately, and received our food at 7.25. There was no offer to comp anything, although the other 3 tables near ours all had their meals free because apparently it had taken even longer than ours did. We were warned when we got there that the wait for food would be "about 30 to 35 minutes because we've received so many phone orders". We could have lived with that, but in the end the wait was not 35 but 75 minutes...unthinkable. I felt very sorry for the wait staff, who rushed around continually apologizing to everyone in sight. People were very cold towards them, and it was 100% not their fault. From where we were sitting we could see the kitchen staff---moving at a glacial pace. From the amount of time it took the taller cook just to read a single order sheet, I'm surprised anybody got their food that night at all. When my burger arrived, it had Triple O sauce--obviously scraped off after the fact but still very much in evidence--which I had specifically requested they leave off. I alerted the waitress but at this point was far too hungry and annoyed to ask for a redo. I think a change of kitchen staff is needed at this location. I won't be back until I hear it has happened. read more

My dining partners have had and enjoyed the fish and chips and burgers Service: Typically very friendly and prompt. Last time, still friendly, but not so prompt. When asked about the delays the waitress explained that some staff had been unable to make their shift. Atmosphere: Clean and well-lit. If I had been the developer I would have put this development on the shore-side of the highway (where the views of the sea and Quadra Island would have been unobstructed by traffic), not the town side, but I guess it's too late now. The food is always great; the burgers & coleslaw are some of the best I ever tasted. I look forward to the food whenever I visit Canada. However, the service in Campbell River is very slow & lax; I think this is the norm in Canada as I have experienced this throughout my visits. Service is slightly better in the big city, although not by much. Generally speaking, The White Spot has always has great food but the service needs a lot of improvement (be prepared to wait). In all fairness I find the service in Northwest Washington State to be slow as well (so is it a regional thang?) Note: When family from Canada visit the U.S. they are always marveled by the hospitality and fast service. read more

I have been very disappointed with the White Spot in Campbell River! Food: The food quality is good, however there has been times when getting a salad I have found the core of the lettuce in the salad and the chicken was dry and Burnt to a crisp on one side. Take Out; The last three times I have placed an order and got home to find that my order was missing several items. Service: Was slow and had to ask for service. While waiting in the Restaurant I have been put at the back of the bus while the waitress was attending and visiting with friends that had come into the Restaurant after I was there and seated in her section. Atmosphere: I asked to be seat in the bar so it would be a little quite, just for them to place a bunch of younger kids at the table that are located near the bar. My over all experience with the Campbell River White Spot location is terrible. I have tried the take out and still found the service unacceptable as well. I have contacted management about these complaints but they always have an excuse for there staff. read more

this used to be our go to spot for a great family meal. sadly after the food last night we will not be back i ordered my usual the monty mushroom burger this has been my favorite item for years but last night the patty was burnt dry and am pretty sure they have switched to preformed patties usually it is pilled with mushrooms and messy to eat. not last night's i was lucky if there was 10 pieces of mushrooms i had to ask for tripple o sauce as it was missing from my burger. fries were soggy and gross. hubby ordered the rib special and was not happy at all. he said they were dry and tasted like they had sat under a heat lamp half the night then were slathered in sauce to hide the fact. they say they offer endless fries but not once were we offered more fries. also both of us were sick for the rest of the night. we have spent so much money here over the years going for birthdays, anniversarys ect. after last night NEVER AGAIN. read more
