While i've been a regular at Cobalt and spent staycations at Vero Beach Hotel, I have not been to the spa! Well this week I had my first experience and i already booked another service for next week. Welcoming, friendly and its the perfect peaceful and quiet spa environment! I had a Hydra Facial w/LED - I must warn for those who love a regular standard facial this Hydra was different process. While i enjoyed the facial it was a bit drying to my skin today. My favorite feature was while prepping the technician did the White Orchid Welcome!!! Clear your mind and relax you will hear the waves of our beautiful ocean. That's all i'll say so you are pleasantly surprised. Last but DEFINITELY not least 50 minutes is surely not enough for a custom massage which I must say is NO. 1 in my experience with massages! We stayed at the Kimpton and opted to have some real relaxation/pampering in the three days we were there. Elizabeth was my husband's massage therapist & Cory was mine. We both left the appointment feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated! Lisa & Marcela did our pedicures on another day and while Marcela was quiet, we loved chatting with Lisa! In this weird time when everyone is socially distanced and you don't have a lot of social interaction it was honestly such a highlight for the day. All that to say, the best pedicures we've EVER had. Covid: temperatures were taken prior to beginning our services, hand-washing and sanitizing prior as well. And masks required. read more

My husband and I scheduled two 110 minute massages, which I specified as deep tissue when making the appointment. We are currently staying at the Kimpton hotel which is attached to the spa for our 10 year anniversary getaway. We were scheduled to have the massages yesterday. When I went down to the spa, the very rude and pretentious front staff did not have any price menus so that I could look at additional treatments I may have liked to get during our stay. I was told curtly I would need to look online. I asked who our massage therapists would be for that afternoon and was given two names. When I went onto the website later I noticed that both massage therapists were brand new; one has just graduated (and prefers aromatherapy and stretching) and the other didn't even have a bio yet. I would expect this from a place like Massage Envy, or some other entry-level business-not a high-end spa where we were easily going to be paying 600+ dollars for our two massages. The other therapists had more extensive training, to include deep tissue massage. Our therapist were at the bottom of the page. I have had many, many massages in my lifetime. I know what an art it is, and how long it takes to become proficient in the discipline - particularly with deep tissue. When I called the office to express our concern, and ask for different, more experienced therapists, I was treated very rudely. We offered to come in on a different day during our vacation when more experienced therapists were available. There was no way around it - no solving the problem or even recognizing it. Oh, and they wanted their money. I was told we would be charged $100 to cancel the appointments. Okay, if we were canceling as a result of our inability to make the appointment, I would understand that completely. However, the fact of the matter is, we were forced to cancel because of their bait and switch tactic. Better to pay $100 than $600 (after tax and gratuities) for a nearly 2 hours beginner's level massage. You can't promote yourself as a high-end spa, charge exorbitant prices, then provide recent graduates to the consumer. This is unethical. If you're planning to stay at the Kimpton property because of the spa, like we did, I would look elsewhere. read more

This was probably one of the best experieces I have had at a spa. Staff was beyond nice and helpful. I did the most ultimate massage they had 110 minutes followed by a facial. I booked a $300 gift card for my parents. My dad ended up having to work his day off and couldn't go on the day that was booked. My mom called and asked if she could change the appointment from a couples massage to a single person for the day and was told she could not. She then said she would not be coming. Fast forward a few months and I was going to use it for my mom and I, along with a big party for my birthday. I called to book a party of about seven. I also said I had a gift card to put on file. The lady looked it up and told me it was only 150 on the card. She said my mom never canceled the appointment and they charged her half of the price. My mom definitely did say she wasn't coming in when they couldn't accommodate. It didn't make any sense because if there was a masseuse for a couples massage there should have been one for a single person. I went back-and-forth with the manager on the phone and she told me she could refund the money but I can't come in for my birthday with my party of seven. She acted as if she was hurting me LOL there's plenty of nice spas in Vero where you get your moneys worth and people are more understanding!!! I recommend massage and facial works in Vero beach! Best massage I've had in a very long time. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond with service. They had tea and set up a little table so that I could bring in treats for my party. i was very impressed with the decor, the space, the service. I work in the spa industry and they really do a great job. Lockers, steam room, well-stocked bathroom amenities. Nice waiting areas inside and outside with teas and some nibbles available. I like that they seem to build in some time for you to actually enjoy relaxing before and after your treatment instead of whisking you right into service. It's such a nice lounging area that you really want to enjoy the experience of it. All of the staff were soft-spoken and mild-mannered...soooo nice, so relaxing, so welcoming. I think male therapists can get a bad rap and I tend to ask for women therapists as well, but I had Scott as my therapist and he was pleasant, soft-spoken, professional and efficient. I enjoyed my service with him. I got a body scrub with massage and I like that they have the showers in the room to rinse off. That makes scrubs so much more enjoyable to get than if it's a dry-room treatment. Definitely worth the splurge. read more

I found the spa to be in the middle of a hotel resort. The place was nice, clean, and professional. The service at the front desk was nice but there was limited seating in the waiting room. When I went to get my waxing appointment and was a service that most don't get on a usual basis so I was not sure what to expect. The professional doing my waxing did not do a thorough job and seemed uncomfortable throughout the process. I was debating whether or not to keep going or stop so the lady wouldn't have to suffer through. The job was not thoroughly done. They may be good in areas other than waxing - but I would not recommend this place in waxing. read more

Fabulous experience at White Orchid Spa. Even though they are currently undergoing some renovation, they did everything they could to accommodate. The renovation was barely noticeable. I got a luxurious facial by Gloria who was so professional and, I swear, had magic fingers. Next came my massage with Himalayan salt rocks. I was in heaven! Just the right touch and just the right amount of relaxation time. I left the spa feeling like jelly and with a cup of delicious coconut-green apple water in hand. The staff is amazing. I've been lucky enough to enjoy White Orchid Spa a few times now, and each time I am more and more impressed. I had a massage about a year ago, which was great, but what prompted me to write this review was my facial last week with Paige. My facial with Paige was the BEST facial I've ever had. She explained everything to me, there was no pain, burning or discomfort, and I walked out without feeling like I looked like I'd just been hit in the face! She did not try to upsell or push super expensive products on me, but she was helpful and answered my questions about the products I was using, and suggested others that might be more beneficial--while explaining the reasons! I live in the area and purchased a monthly membership for 2-50min services about a year ago. I have tried numerous spas in the area & White Orchid not only has great staff, but a complete spa feel. Granted there are no outdoor showers, soaking pools, or outdoor massage table like you will find in Hawaii, but what they do have is elegant, extremely clean, & serene. The spa is located in the Vero Beach Hotel that offers a great restaurant for lunch/dinner. There is also free valet parking, with very little turnover in the staff. Had a great pedicure here but don't waste your money on the massage. Was looking forward to a nice 80 minute massage but it was a definite disappointment. I get monthly massages back home and have gotten many over the years. For a 15 year therapist (they told me she was wonderful with 15 years experience), it was like getting a massage from someone just out of massage school. All she did was grease me up so bad I had to take a shower before leaving the spa. Since I was staying at the hotel I was planning to just go back to my room, but I was so full of grease all over my body, face and in my hair, I had to use their shower facilities. The spa has a nice ambiance, but the high cost for their services is not warranted. If I am ever in the area again I would not stop and use that spa! read more

I was staying in the resort for a week long vacation but had a medical emergency the day before my spa appointment and had to fly home 4 days early. The resort and spa both assured me there would be no fee for cancelling due to the circumstances however they never refunded my deposit for the appointment nor were they willing to discuss and resolve the issue when I returned home. White Orchid Spa is by far the best spa I have ever had the pleasure of being pampered in. I booked two Classic Spa escape packages for myself and my mother on her birthday. It was my first time visiting the spa, and everyone was so welcoming and informative. The spa is impeccably clean and decorated. They have a sauna and a Himalayan Salt Room to relax in while you are in between treatments, as well as a relaxation room with fruit infused water, coffee, tea and snacks. The services were out of this world! Every staff member asked if you wanted something to drink and if you needed to use the restroom in between treatments and made sure your treatments were tapered to your individual needs. I felt so comfortable, relaxed and cared for all the way throughout my treatments. The staff is educated, skilled and have wonderful personalities.I will definitely be back! Thank you. :) read more
