Considering many other derms in the area, I have returned to my initial reviews of her. And I will…read moresay, these reviews were unfair to her. I must admit that Dr. McKay is probably the "least" damaging or incorrect in her diagnoses of most other derms. As a 35-year Medical Director who works directly and indirectly with 65+ surgeons (plastics, reconstructive surgery, cosmetics) in my company, many whom I've hired, I am forced to say that Dr. McKay is extremely intelligent, and has a wonderful personality. Her problem, like most of us, is that she is forced to "thin" the quality of her offerings simply because she, like most GOOD medical people, haven't yet figured out how to be in two places at one time. What I'm saying is that the younger, (not older) Dr. McKay, whom I liked very much, used to spend time with her patients...but now she simply doesn't have that time anymore. It's not that she doesn't want to do these "basic" things, it's that she can't afford the time to work on less-revenue-generating procedures and examinations, because she must parse her time to the things that keep her salary staff and office staff paid. And to survive. Doing that everyday, I completely understand her problems. It's a problem that all medical directors face, and the problem isn't getting any better. Maybe "knowledge databases" administered by AI tools can facilitate this part of medicine better in the future...however, you will still lose...because you can't get Dr. McKay's pleasant, enjoyable, intellectual interaction with a machine. Overall, she is a very, very, good bet....
