I contacted Chad in late January, and the work -- from estimate to ordering materials to installation -- was completed by early March before any spring rains came. What a difference! Chad and Devin got the job done in a matter of hours on a Saturday morning using their special truck to "print" gutters custom-made for my house. Chad lowered the price a tad after realizing that less work would be required than he initially estimated -- something he brought to my attention, rather than vice versa...now how many contractors can you say that about?! In short: Chad was more than fair, the gutter is doing exactly what it should, and both Chad and Devin were a pleasure to have working around my home. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

In the interim we scheduled one service call to ensure everything was running smoothly, no problem. But..... today I called to schedule a service call regarding a small concern having to do with water dripping. The lady who answered the phone was surley and not very helpful to say the least. Her response was, "So what do you want me to do?" I said I would like to schedule a service call to which she replied, "I don't have anybody. " I said, " I understand you may be shorthanded but, what should I do?" In her "delightful" demeanor she said the soonest would be in two months, otherwise they could do nothing. Bottom line....I have never been treated so rudely. I regret now endorsing Rogers Heating and AC to friends and relatives. Never again...

So the previous owner had A Mountain Roofing come out to do maintenance / repairs and the repairs that were supposed to be guaranteed! I can only imagine what the previous owner paid for said work. We had a leak so we contacted A Mountain Roofing. Name withheld came out to inspect their work / the drain and roof. He said that the pipe in the roof was cracked! Then proceeded to tell me that the roof needed OVER $20k in maintenance / repairs! The same person also told me that to fix the leak would be over $1,100.00 to repair and another $400.00 for drywall. We called another company and they came out then pulled the cover and inspected the drain. They asked to use the garden hose to run water in the drain just past where the roof meets the drain. They ran water for approximately 10 minutes with no leaking. And said that they would send a crew out to re-coat the inlet to the drain. Then that night we got rain and NO LEAKS. I then contacted the A Mountain employee and said that he was wrong and the issue was the coating around the inlet of the drain. He then accuse me of lying to him. Why would I lie to him? I just wanted the leak / drain fixed The company that fixed the leak charged $250.00 and asked if I knew the paint code or color so they could texture and paint. I told them I have paint and needed to do some touching up I will take care of that. Remember the quote from A Mountain of OVER $1,500.00 and that didn't include painting where the leak caused the paint to fall off. My worthless .02 cents is go ANYWHERE but A Mountain Roofing for roofing‼ The A Mountain employee was a smooth talker and a SALESMAN and could have cared less about the situation that should have been his responsibility! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm writing this review to tell you what Clint did not do. He didn't tell me that I needed a roof…read morethat I don't need. I'm buying a house in La Luz and the Home Inspector said that we needed to get a roofing contractor to look at the roof, especially since there is some wrinkles in the covering (flat - built-up roof), and because the roof was replaced two years earlier by the owner (not using a contractor). I used Clint Hicks because he has an adequate web site and there were not any negative reviews on him from the many review sites out there. I didn't find any positive reviews on any roofers in the Alamogordo area from any web sites. I was able to get Clint to come out to the property after normal working hours on a day's notice. Not only did he not charge me for an estimate, he told me that we only need minor work done that we can do ourselves. PLUS - he provided a detailed explanation on how to do the work and what material to use. Honest contractors are so hard to find. Thank goodness that my spin of the roulette wheel landed on Clint Hicks. When I do need a new roof, he will be my first call for an estimate. Of course, since I don't need a new roof, I can't tell you how good a job he does or how reasonable his rates are. I hope to see more reviews here covering those issues when I do need a new roof in ~8 years.

James Sears actually came out in person and provided us with a complete estimate and contract, kept in touch with us when needed, told us approximately when they would be out to do the job and approximately when they would be finished. Then the job was actually done! Two other local roofers never even returned my call so I called one out-of-towner and I received an estimate on the back of a business card which was outrageously high. A fourth business finally came out for an estimate and was only marginally higher but by then I had told James that they had the job. The only thing I'm going to say about that is, they took care of it.
