We have had endless issues with our home which we only moved into in Oct 2023..even tho we closed…read morein August 2023. It's odd that the issues were just minimally addressed through the first year after we moved in, then afterwards everything we brought up that was going wrong, we were told it was "normal settling" of the home and not covered by Hakes and it was our responsibility. Oddly enough, it's all very poor building products and workmanship. I would suggest you don't purchase from Hakes or have a contractor thoroughly review before buying and hold Hakes accountable before buying. Terrible company and not willing to be helpful to their customers. We've owned numerous homes prior to this and never saw such ineptitude from a builder/seller. Be aware!!

There is something wrong with the "quartz" finish, it it is actually quartz, causing it to stain when anything is set down on it, even if immediately wiped off. In addition there are horrible buffs/swirls and blemishes on the countertops that are not normal for quartz. Hakes' attempt at resolution was to have countertop company come out and clean the counters, which did nothing as the problem is in the finish. They then suggested sealing it which I have a problem with as 1. quartz does not need to be sealed 2. even if it were sealed, all the blemishes/swirls/stains would then also be sealed in 3. sealing would have to be done on an ongoing basis as the island is the biggest problem and we cook and use that daily. We have had warranty team out and then some additional construction team to no avail. Last meeting was an utter waste of time as the Hakes rep wouldn't even look at the problems, even after being pointed out by other Hakes employees. As we have had to have all the cabinet doors and drawers replaced (still waiting on those) because the finish/clearcoat was not done correctly, there is obvious history of poor craftmanship and materials used in build process. We have asked Hakes to either refund $5390 we paid for "upgraded quartz" in order for us to have countertops replaced or to have Hakes replace them.

Victor Saenz does an excellent job of communicating and staying in touch with clients. All estimates and work start on time as promised. The work was done quicker than I expected. The work and materials appear to be excellent quality. I hired Victory Construction to replace a roof, turbine, and repair a water damaged ceiling. Apparently they do a little of everything. The roof appears to be better than what it was when it was new. The ceiling was expertly repaired and one can't tell the ceiling was ever repaired. The ceiling came out better than what the way I was told it would come out. I work graveyards so I sleep during the day. The crew was very respectful of the fact that I am a day sleeper and they didn't make any unnecessary noise. They also took measures to protect my property. They covered anything they worked near to avoid damage I would highly recommend using Victory Construction, and I plan on using them again in the future.

Victory Construction was recommended to repair the stucco around our newly installed windows. They…read moredid a terrible job! The workers were very unprofessional. Stucco work around the windows was very uneven and messy. Stucco was slopped onto our brand new windows and screens, our cement patio and our patio chairs. After I cleaned up their mess from the stucco work, the next working day they spilled paint once again onto our new windows and screens. I asked that they use drop clothes and plastic to protect where they worked, but they ignored this request. Every day the workers left their lunch trash on site. They never cleaned up after work each day. After alerting the company that their workers were not very good, it took over two months for the supervisors to inspect the work. Victor agreed that the work was not professional. At least he had the courtesy of not charging us the final payment because the work was so bad!
