I have bought a number of these puzzles. The company offered a sale so we bought 4 puzzles. 2of them had such problems we couldn't even work them. On both the borders we're screwed up. When I called them I was told to work the whole puzzle and the problem would work itself out! Who wants to waste time on a puzzle that can't be finished? A puzzle is supposed to be fun. An EXCELLENT puzzle company with helpful customer service. However, I am only giving it four stars since it does NOT let customers know when ordering if they have already ordered that puzzle. I found that out recently when I ordered the same puzzle as a previous order. Yes, I should have been more careful before ordering but on the other hand, it would have been nice if White Mountain would have had a notice about this on its website to let me know that I already ordered that puzzle. If they had, then I would not have ordered the puzzle again. Its competitor, Puzzle Warehouse, DOES do this service for its customers which I really appreciate when I do business with them. Anyhow, I mentioned this on the phone to the customer service rep. and she agreed that they should do this with their company, also. So, I am now stuck with two of the same puzzles. read more

I love White Mountain puzzles, the pieces are bigger and they fit nicely together. I have had one puzzle missing 2 pieces, but I got a new puzzle sent to me within a week. I was excited to stumble upon White Mountain Puzzles in Jackson. I didn't realize they had a retail store. They definitely appear to have more puzzles in their store than online. They're taking covid safety measure seriously and require that you wait outside until they open the door for you. Upon entrance they ask that you sanitize your hands. Once inside, you're brought into a world of complete New England nostalgia. Known for their puzzles displaying candy wrappers, license plates, and iconic pictures of the states, there's sure to be a puzzle that makes you giggle about your childhood. Upon purchasing 2 puzzles ($17.99 each), we were offered a free poster with our purchase. I will definitely return next time I'm in Jackson. read more

During the COVID-19 Pandemic - I re-discovered the fun of doing Jigsaw puzzles. It's probably been some 35 years since I've done a puzzle. I found that I had a few unopened puzzles stashed away - that I had bought a long time ago. I did those - and then found I needed more puzzles. Some of the puzzles I had were from White Mountain Puzzles - so I bought more from them. I also bought a bunch of puzzles for friends and had them shipped direct to them. A great way to help friends through the Pandemic - and get them interested in a healthy, brain challenging activity. I had one puzzle that I received that was defective - in that some of the pieces were delaminating. I called White Mountain - they asked for some photos of the defective pieces - which I promptly e-mailed them. They then set me up to order a replacement puzzle of my choice. They also sell several different third party puzzle trays and other accessories - to organize your puzzle activities. I bought the Premium Spinner Tray. More recently - they started offering another couple options called "Zacko." I'm considering donating spinner tray to a friend and getting the Zacko Hardwood Spinner Puzzle Board. Claim they will replace bad puzzles, I had one that was missing one outside piece and had an extra outside piece so I called and the person who took my call was rude and didn't really care. Said I had to put together the entire puzzle and take a picture. When I stated I checked the puzzle pieces and counted the 3 times so I know the pieces were missing. Her reply was basicly to bad. I've ordered White Mountain Puzzles in the past because of their good quality & selections. In recent orders, 3 puzzles to be exact (1000 piece puzzles) there were missing pieces to each one & the puzzle pieces were splitting apart. Quality has diminished as well as the care to make sure each piece found its way into its packaging. One of the puzzles I received had a puzzle piece outside the packaging sitting in the box that didn't belong to the puzzle. I haven't been to the physical store yet (I live across the country) however I can attest to the WONDERFUL customer service White Mountain Puzzles provides! I purchased a puzzle online and the puzzle was shipped to me very quickly. I loved the puzzle but just before I finished I noticed my puppy got ahold of what ended up being 10 pieces- I was so bummed! I emailed the company asking if I could purchase replacement pieces and they emailed me back right away saying that they couldn't guarantee the replacement puzzle was cut with the same pattern however they offered to ship me a new puzzle of my choice as part of their Happiness Guarantee! I picked another beautiful puzzle with the same amount of pieces as the first one and called to pay my $5 for the shipping and handling. Not only did they offer to replace my puzzle but I had a wonderful conversation with one of the ladies who processed my payment and she told me about how the company got started and where they're located! I received a White Mountain Puzzle for Christmas from my son and his wife! I will never recommend a puzzle from WM. I was missing 9 pieces, but I also had 6 pieces that were doubles, that has never and I mean NEVER happened to me before! I have hundreds of puzzles, and I have never had a missing piece, let alone doubles! How does that happen! I did contact WM about the situation, they took my name and email and told me I would be getting an email, I Never received a response, I guess the women I talk to didn't really care , I would say customer service at WM sucks! read more

I like their puzzle designs but took 1 star off because 3 of the last four 1,000 piece puzzles I have of theirs were missing pieces. In all fairness, the last puzzle had 1,001 pieces but some were duplicates and I still had 2 missing pieces overall. read more

I bought a puzzle in TJ Maxx and loved it so looked up this company online. They have a fabulous selection of very interesting puzzles, but that's where my praise stops. If you sign up to be a member they send you an email for 10% off your order. It does not specify full price items but that is the only 10% you will get. They send you another email giving you free shipping on your first order of 3 or more puzzles but it doesn't say that you have to spend $75. I bought 5 puzzles and spent $75, which was the only way the website would give me free shipping. I bought 2 Labor Day specials and 3 full priced puzzles. Would not give me the 10% discount, even on the full priced items as it figured I already got a discount. Talked to 3 people at this company and they would do nothing except cancel my order. My advice....BUYER BEWARE! Read all the negative reviews as they certainly apply. read more

Refuses to honor guarantee. I buy this company's puzzles on a regular basis either direct or from Amazon. Quite often I find broken puzzle pieces. No small annoyance since each puzzle I get cost close to twenty dollars. Two weeks ago I used their "Happiness Guarantee" to return defective product directly to them. My very first time doing this. Three puzzles out of a recent six puzzle shipment and a fourth one from a past purchase. Each one due to broken pieces. They replaced them (still in the mail) but last week sent me an unsigned letter telling me that because of this return that they will no longer honor their guarantee on any future puzzes I need to return. Having over a dozen unopened White Mountain Puzzles in my closet, I'm sure I'll find more damaged and defective product and be stuck for the cost. Loving the colllage puzzles, I will make future purchases from Amazon. At least Amazon does honor their company's return polices which is more than White Mountain Puzzles can claim. read more

I bought a 1000 piece puzzle at my local Blain's store and by the time I finished the puzzle I had 3 duplicate pieces and I was missing one. Not sure if this was a fluke or if this company has poor quality control. How do you get duplicate pieces in a puzzle?!?! I'd give them more than a two, they probably deserve a 4, except for the puzzle I just received. It's a puzzle I've been waiting for sellers to restock, so thank you for that!! My complaint is not 100% about white Mtn., but they need to be aware of this: The puzzle I received today via Amazon via Los Vegas to Oregon, had shipping/ packaging problems. The puzzle box was ripped open. My guess is because the Amazon box was ripped open. Make sure Amazon and HOT and COLD warehouse locations package and ship your products correctly. Your puzzle boxes are very thin and very lightly put together. You should probably mark it as a fragile type, and/or be aware that it needs some protection in the shipping box like other items in the shipping box get. This puzzle cost $25.00 and deserves to be delivered to the customer in excellent condition, even if White Mountain needs to be responsible for having a stronger puzzle box product they put their puzzles in (I'm not talking about the Amazon box), and for Los Vegas warehouse and heat, and Amazon. read more

I love puzzles and could not wait to check out the flagship White Mountain store. It didn't seem like a flagship store, so I was slightly disappointed. They did, however, have a large enough selection and to my surprise, a sale section. I didn't get anything but I did have my eye on a few of them. I wish that they were slightly cheaper ($17), but it is still a pleasant enough stop while in Jackson. My Experience with this puzzle company White Mountain Puzzles has been HORRIBLE. Go to "Trust Pilot to see my 1st review. I ordered 3 puzzles from them during the pandemic/ corona 2020 which ALL arrived damaged (I sent them plenty of photos for proof) . They offer a guarantee on their website but give you excuses about honoring it. After multiple emails and calls they decided to send me replacement puzzles. That was major drama as they stated excuses about sending out puzzle codes. I finally got a puzzle code to order 1 of the puzzles and it did arrive to me undamaged. The 2nd puzzle code kept getting put off with excuses and emails not signed by anyone stated it should be there and they will look into it. Since 2 weeks past and the second code was never received I called many times only to be told by Cathy they are just puzzles and could not see why I was so concerned about them. Finally received Code 2 but they sent an invalid shipping code (GO FIGURE) so off to contacting them again.. They ordered it for me and shipped it. The final replacement was ordered by phone the next day I believe. Received the 2nd replacement on the 7th of July 2020 with was extremely damaged the box is smashed in and the puzzle box inside is also smashed in.. I'm really hoping it was the postal service and not White Mountain that did this.. The 3rd puzzle has been delayed in route by USPS per tracking info on USPS site. I sent and email today 7/9/2020 To the office manager "Kimberly" explaining what happened and that I will follow up with photos. to be honest I'm waiting to see what replacement #3 looks like when it arrives? "Melissa" with White Mountain Puzzles who told me on her last to conversation with me after replacement 3 was ordered that they would NEVER HONOR the policy of exchange of a damage puzzle again to me.. I will only be emailing White Mountain Puzzles from here on out. I will give them a chance to replace that smashed damaged puzzle and await what the final replacement that is still in the mail looks like.. I will be contacting that BBB as well as pondering the options of what can be done about this experience if they do not rectify in a few business days after I send the emails, they are not that great at responses. TO White Mountain Puzzles.. If you are NOT going to honor something then REMOVE it from your Website!!! Lastly, If you are a White Mountain Puzzle fan I suggest going a different route then ordering from them direct on the their website, go to a retailer that will treat your with respect and honor a return policy with out making you feel like trash..
