Good Day! I tend not to write reviews - that said my experience with White Metal Games (WMG) must be shared! I have been interested in the gaming world and miniatures for a long time but have never taken the "plunge" since 1. I was not overly familiar with where to begin (lotsa stuff to figure out) 2. I cannot draw a straight line let alone try to paint or assemble this stuff in any coherent way. Researched a ton of places and actually did "test" runs with 2 other studios before working with WMG. Upon this first interaction with WMG I knew I had found the place for me. What truly differentiates WMG is what I will refer to as the "customer experience" because it so much more than customer service. I will break the experience into business, product, and people categories. Business: The process is very professional from start to finish (actual calendar tracker, logistics in general, ability to get models/ship to them etc.).Timelines are both expedient and also adhered to. There is clear communication from start to finish of the project. Pricing is clear and easy to understand. Pictures are posted of the work when done and they make sure you are satisfied prior to sending. Product: The painting levels are very clearly defined and exceeded my expectations for every level chosen. As stated earlier this was new to me and the WMG team worked with me via test swatches etc. This effort was truly collaborative in that they helped bring my vision to life, helping me refine my ideas by drilling down on what it was I was truly looking for (color, look, feel, etc.) and creating an amazing army that I could not be happier with. The attention to detail and care is evident across all of the miniatures and the pictures on the website galleries do not do them justice. People: Caleb Dillon and his Team were amazing to work with as is evidenced by the reasons given above. The passion his team has for what they do is both evident in my interactions with everyone from WMG and the overall quality of their work. Cannot say enough great things about them. I could not recommend White Metal Games any more highly for any of your modeling/painting/conversion needs. This was my first time using a painting commission so I was slightly skeptical going in, but it was apparent from my very first email correspondence with Caleb that I had made the right decision. Caleb took the time to answer all of my questions and offered helpful, creative suggestions throughout the entire commission process. I received constant updates on-time as promised, and they even worked to get the project done ahead of time so that I could get the models in time for a tournament. I had WMG assemble and paint a Tau: Ta'unar Supremecy armor and a Tau: Y,vahra battle suit, both from the Warhammer 40k universe and both turned out amazing! The detail and care taken on every piece of the models is astounding and I truly could not have expected a better outcome for this project. They did a beautiful job converting the models to incorporate custom basing which they also provided for me and the models are now truly a one of a kind centerpiece for my army. If you are ever looking to have anything painted/assembled/converted for any of your war-gaming and other tabletop needs you absolutely cannot go wrong with White Metal Games. My experience with these guys was nothing but excellent. I had them make an Orc Blood Bowl team, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to use WMG. Caleb was extremely thorough and helpful in the process of obtaining a quote and working through all of the details. They were extremely flexible and even tracked down harder to find pieces to make sure I got exactly the team I was looking for. And once the process was underway, I received regular updates and was kept up to speed with the process every step of the way. The figures themselves came out great and are a blast to play with. They made them with great care and attention to detail, and the paint work is superb. The job itself was done more quickly than anticipated and I've already managed to use these guys several times, and garnered plenty of complements from opposing coaches. This year I decided to take the plunge and hire a painting service to do my Frostgrave models. After poking around on the net, I decided to contact White Metal Games for an estimate. Caleb & co. were extremely professional, discussing my project with me in every detail, from painting to pricing. Once I shipped my models off to them, WMG kept me updated on every step of the process. Pictures were shared, and collaboration was encouraged. A realistic timeline was also provided, and they stuck to it. Remember folks, if you want quality, you need to give the artists time to work! After the models were completed, I was given an opportunity to provide feedback and any final tweaks I might want. WMG then shipped the models in a timely fashion, and they arrived safe and sound at my door according to schedule. Bar none, the best studio I've ever worked with. I submitted a 5-man squad of Tempestus Scions for refurbishment to really make them pop as their current paint job was definitely not up to snuff. The entire process from quote to finish was an absolute joy working with Caleb. He clearly cares about his business and the interaction with him and his staff made me confident that they cared about my commission. The turn-around was lightning fast and the make-over was jaw dropping. Now I plan to do my entire 1k point army of Scions. The prices are high but Caleb is incredibly flexible and is up-front about what levels are appropriate for your budget and the level of care is commensurate. You'd be absolutely silly not to use these guys as they're amazing, hilarious, and totally up-standing. I am an avid Warhammer 40k player, and over last 10 years I've employed many commission paint services. But when I want something completed to an exacting standard, quickly, I go to White Metal Games. Their communication throughout the commission process is the best of any I have ever worked with, and of the 8 or so projects they have completed for me I have not yet had one that did not exceed my hopes for the project. If you are looking to commission miniatures, you won't find a studio that can beat White metal for speed or quality. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

I've gotten two projects done with WMG. Both were Space Marine projects. I was really happy with the results. For the price you pay, the paint job, even at Silver level, is superb. For the second project, I had them build the models as well as paint them. Assembly was relatively cheap and I was really happy with the results. I honestly have nothing negative to say.
