this a nice pub/restaurant with a decent size car park. i'd say the food and atmosphere is more restaurant standard than gastro-pub, but ultimately it is a nice old pub setting. the staff were very friendly during our recent visit (a sunday lunch time), we arrived just after midday and were offered a table in the bar area. there was a very good choice on the menu and specials board, plenty to choose from and we had three courses. in particular I will single out the desserts as they tasted authentically home-made. the food was all very nice, i'd happily go back more often although I probably wont as it was a bit pricey to be honest. you get what you pay for and the food was top notch, but we can eat just as nice for cheaper elsewhere hence i've not given this place the highest rating. i'll save the White Horse for special occasions when I fancy spending a bit more. read more
