Very cute and cozy pub with a great beer selection. Food is really tasty too. Sticky short ribs were amazing. Have a nice beer garden out back. Good selection of table sizes.

Nice-looking pub in the backstreets of Camden. Comfortable seats inside; a small garden with several tables protected by shrubs outside; and a proper dining room upstairs. Great choices of ale, and three (3!) types of bottled pear cider. Didn't eat today, but the Sunday roast and desserts looked great. You can sign up for their newsletter on their website. EDIT: was back again yesterday. Just as nice as last time. Not busy at all, and we sat both outside and inside (after it got too chilly). Inside is spacious and comfortable. Both the clientele and staff were all realy nice, with a really smiley, friendly vibe. I may go back yet again as I see that there's several events coming up: a real ale festival the first weekend in October, a Halloween dinner, a jazz band night, and more.

Great locals pub with really good ales. Locals and bar staff were really friendly. Had a burger, which was nothing special, served on a slate. Was quite small for the price, and just a small pot of chips. Don't even remember the salad, if there was one. Not worth the £11 I was charged. Would come back for the beer, but would probably eat somewhere else.

My heart lives in London, and it lives right here at the Prince Albert. Good any time of the day, for lunch (the food is fantastic ), to late at night for music and a pint. Staff are fun and friendly. Its ideally nestled on a quiet road just a short walk from Kings Cross and St. Pancras. They have the classic assortment of drafts with a few rotating flavors that may surprise you. Its good for groups or just yourself for a mid afternoon pint, the outdoor seating is perfect especially when they put the heaters on outside as it can get chilly close to the canal.

Yes you've got your Hawley Arms and your Good Mixer and Barfly, all infamous and great Camden pubs that are dotted along the High Street or just off. But where do you go when you want to visit a non touristy, cool, local Camden pub....The Prince Albert! Its about a 5 minute walk from Camden Tube station and what I absolutely love about Camden is that you get your usual touristy/well known route around the lock and markets and along the high street but there's also some hidden little gems just slightly set back from the high street, proper neighbourhood feel places. This pub is definitely one of them. This one is hard to describe, there's some contradictions in here because in brief this pub really is for everyone! *As its in Camden there could be a hipster, cool vibe to it one day and then you might go another day and its just local born and raised Camden families enjoying a drink and their dinner. Its an 'everyone's welcome' kinda place *The craft beer selection isn't vast but they do have Brooklyn on tap and other great beers in bottles and its more of a Great British tradional pub vibe (with a cool edge), rather than a pure craft beer place anyway. They also use the upstairs bar as a cocktail bar and have DJ's playing on occasion up there too *The food is incredible, you may find local business workers popping in for a bottle of wine and a sharing platter during the week after work (hummus and pitta and the prawns in filo pastry are recommend!) Plus the Sunday menu is epic including lots of fish options and pies from Pieminster, as well as your usual Sunday roasts where anyone and everyone turn up on a Sunday *The Prince Albert is also known as a great wedding reception venue, in fact a good friend of mine had her wedding do there and absolutely loved it! *They also have live music/bands on some nights and quiz night on a Tuesday If you want to slow down the pace a bit in Camden and try an alternative option away from the high street or markets then this is your place for a cozy pub feel and some chill time. See you at the bar...mine's a Jack Daniels and coke please!

    Great ale...

Friendly family pub with a room for events available as well. Menu could be a little more creative. Nice team and peaceful outside space.

My wife actually booked dinner reservations in advance for Ye Old Cheshire Cheese, it was one of a few we did that for rather than just popping in. For some of these, Cheshire included, it isn't a bad idea if you want a full meal to do so as it gives you a table in a dining area that is quieter than the More raucous areas of the pub and guarantees you plenty of elbow room to dine. Every pub has fish and chips, and we had our share of it during our 8+ day trek, but my wife swears by this place as having the absolute best. I'd likely agree with that--we both had the traditional fish, chips, peas platter and every bite was great. We had a few slices of sourdough to hold us over while waiting for those plates. My wife had a bit of wine, and I tried a lager, lower ABV ale, and a pour of scotch opting for their "house" scotch. The spirits/beer menu was the same I saw used at a couple of what I think must be "sister" pubs all using the same distilleries and brewers. We were too full to try dessert. Service was friendly. Not sure if it was the vintage of my scotch or her wine, but price-wise this was by far our priciest pub visit in the area and I can't quite point my fingers at why, but I don't regret our meal and time here. As for historic interest, you can find pictures and placards of many of the pubs famous patrons from history--Dickens, Mark Twain on visits to London, etc. A first edition of a Dickens' book adorned a post by our table.

Cool pub dating back to 1300s?…read more Fish and chips were great. Price was okay given its a popular and historic spot. Beer was excellent and prices reasonable Only complaint was the dining area was extremely quiet on a Friday afternoon. A little strange for a pub

The history alone makes it worth visiting, and the location is perfect if you're exploring the area. It feels very classic London in the best way. We stopped in for a pint and honestly... the whole after-work beer culture over there is something I really need to bring back with me to the States. The beer was great, the atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming, and it just felt like one of those places where people naturally gather and stay awhile. Definitely worth stopping into if you're in the area.

Two story space - the ground floor feature the bar and handles walk in lunch; the upstairs is a dining room for those with reservations. Fun fact, as part of the history, the pub used to be the host of bare knuckle fights and had regulars like Charles Dickens. Wildfarmed sourdough - served with whipped salted butter and Guinness butter. Well toasted bread and the butters with salt were well made. Fuller's London Pride marinated steak and ale pie - served with seasonal veggies and red wine gravy, as well as either mash potatoes or triple cooked chips. If there is one dish London does really well, it's their pies. It was beautifully made and loaded with steak. The red wine gravy was decadent and added a perfect amount of moisture to the pie. Triple cooked chips were perfectly crispy but fluffy on the inside. Corn fed chicken breast - served with garlic and sage butter, mash potato, cavolo nero, and crispy onions. Only took a bite of this as it was my partner's dish but the bite of chicken I had was very juicy and well seasoned.
