Went there for Sunday lunch today, obviously a very popular place. The food was excellent apart from the Yorkshire puds which were too big and very dry- I must admit i haven't yet found a place that makes decent Yorkshires so this won't stop me going again as the beef was grand! and they certainly weren't stingy with the portions! As veggie lovers however we found that a small dish between four wasn't nearly enough. Some confusion around timing of coffees and desserts but despite this the desserts were awesome! and the liqueur coffee was lovely. Also the house white wine was really good and none of that aftertaste you can get from cheap house wines.
All in all a pleasant place- quiet even tho it was packed as there was no 'muzak' blaring in the background and no games machines in sight- the tables were far enough apart from each other that we felt we had a degree of privacy. The staff were friendly and attentive- if a little confused sometimes lol
I will definitely be going back!! read more
