Has the feel of a pub which would be quite good if you were a regular.
I've been here 10 or 20 times in the last 6 years, so an infrequent visitor. Today the service was excellent - super friendly in a low key way.
Their range of beers seems to have increased sine I last went in, today they had a pale ale (brew dog?), hobgoblin, trooper and another decent ale.
What lets it down for me is the TV in every corner showing sport which really isn't my thing and the atmosphere can be a little flat. It can be busy and livelier on a Saturday night.
So not a bad pub, mainly just suffering from that Suberbia effect of not quite having enough customers to generate an atmosphere. Unless of course you know everyone there, because they are your neighbours! read more
