The items were returned today, but not as handed over. Some items were washed, some were not, and the best part was the unrequested dye job, NOT. Won't recommend or use this service ever again. I get sh*t happens, but you have to own the sh*t when it happens, and you failed miserably.

Considering my request was both delicate and time-sensitive, I did considerable research beforehand, only to find that most dry cleaners in downtown Toronto have very mixed reviews... including People's Dry Cleaners. However, I decided in the case of the latter, they were primarily based on old management. I decided to take the risk. I was greeted by the owner's warm smile and immediately felt at ease. I brought my wedding dress in approximately two weeks before my wedding, and they finished the job in 2 days. My dress is now wrinkle-free! Impressed with the service, friendliness, and speed. Will return!

I've only had it a little over a year, and it was in excellent condition, no stains, no holes, nothing. When I brought it in, the woman working there insisted on charging me an extra $16 to "repair" the zipper because there were a few loose threads. She said it needed to be fixed before cleaning to prevent damage. It was literally just a loose thread, but I paid it anyway. I dropped my jacket off on Monday, and the pickup date they gave me was Thursday at 5 PM. I went to collect it, and suddenly my coat wasn't there. She told me to come back the next day. I said okay and called the following day to confirm it was ready before coming in. That's when I was told some nonsense story that my jacket had a stain and needed to be re-cleaned. My jacket had no stain when I brought it in, so what are you talking about? Then she told me to come back Monday. I told her that was impossible because it was -6°C, snowing and raining heavily, and this is my winter coat. I needed it by the next day at the latest. After that, I was given yet another story, this time that the delivery driver couldn't deliver because of the rain. None of this made any sense. I then asked for the store manager's number, and she refused to give it to me. Instead, she tried offering 50% off my next service but there will absolutely NOT be a next time. This morning (Saturday) she finally called to say my coat was ready. When I went to pick it up, I saw that the hardware on my all-black jacket is now completely scratched, to the point that it looks silver instead of black. When I pointed this out, she had the nerve to tell me I brought the jacket in like that and that there was nothing she could do about it. So after keeping my coat two extra days, giving me multiple false explanations, refusing to give me the manager's contact, and damaging my jacket, they still refused to take any responsibility. Terrible service from beginning to end. Zero accountability. And to the business responding to other reviews claiming customers are "scamming" you, trust and believe I have all the time in the world. People deserve to know exactly how this business operates. Don't bother trying to delete this review either, because I will just post another one. PLEASE NOTE: the first two photos were taken 2 WEEKS before I took it to LONG BRANCH CLEANERS, the last 3 photos are how I received it.

The new zipper appears to be made of very cheap material and is difficult to open and close. All of the original metal detailing on the backpack, including a smaller intact zipper, is bronze in colour. She replaced the broken zipper with a silver zipper with a large silver ring as a pull tab. It does not match the rest of the bag and looks terrible. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for the previous leather pull tab back so I could try and reattach it myself and she said she no longer had it. I was charged an additional $26, so nearly $60 total for her to ruin my bag. I asked for a partial refund and she refused saying, "if you wanted the zippers to match you should have said that when you dropped it off". It's evident that she was not equipped to do this repair. I wish she would have said she couldn't do it and returned my deposit to me so I couldn't have taken my bag elsewhere to get fixed. What really dumbfounded me was there was zero apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Needless to say I won't be ever going back here. What a joke.
