THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I have used them a few times and they have gone waaaayy downhill. A few months ago they delivered someone else's duvet to me, they took it back and apologized. Then I sent them some dry cleaning - They SHRUNK my cashmere sweater and promised to reimburse me. THey asked that I return the shrunken sweater to them so they could see it and that they would pay me for the cost of the sweater. I followed up 3 times...no payment and no one is answering the phone or support emails. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!! I paid $40 for dry cleaning in Oct 2023 that they haven't returned to me! I've been using Alfred at least once a week for over a year and they have always been excellent. Ran into an issue where all the lockers at our condo were full. When my condo building initially sent a notice saying that Alfred lockers were now in our lobby, I figured this would be a service that I would never use. Essentially, I assumed that the dry cleaning costs would be very high given the convenience factor. A few weeks later, my bag of dirty clothing waiting to go to the dry cleaners was still sitting beside my front door. As it turned out, I had not been able to find the time/remembered to take it to the dry cleaners. I started researching Alfred's prices and realized that they are comparable to other dry cleaners in the area, if not lower for certain services. Immediately I took my bag of dirty clothes down to the lobby and placed them in one of Alfred's lockers. It took me all of 3 minutes to download the Alfred app and place my order. The next day, my order was picked up and meticulously cataloged (I received an email with a photo of each item!!!). I also received an email about a dress that Alfred staff were concerned about cleaning as they thought the dye may run. I could not believe that they checked in with me before cleaning the item - I am so impressed that they were so attentive and detail-oriented!!!!! I was recently in a wedding party where we had to wear floor length pure white dresses. Needless to say, by the end of the evening the bottom of my dress was covered in soot and there were a few lipstick stain marks and just general dirt throughout the dress. She was able to contact and provide me with instructions, as a first time user, within 1/2hr. She even followed up for me to clear up a few FAQs. I've been using Alfred for a few months now, as they have lockers installed in my condo building. The service is extremely convenient and they have good turn around times. Basically, I just drop my laundry off in an empty locker in the evening or in the morning on my way to work, and within a few days, it's back in the locker clean and ready to go! Alfred uses an app and text messages/emails to tell you when your laundry has been picked up and when it is ready for you to pick up. I have found that the service is a little more expensive than taking my laundry into my local dry cleaner, but the added convenience is worth it. I used to find it hard to get to the dry cleaner during their business hours, but now it doesn't matter because I can pick it up anytime! read more

Who doesn't like dry cleaning delivered to your doorsteps? Thank god that my condo now has dry cleaning service via Alfred. Alfred definitely has jumped on the bandwagon of the whole app fad. This very potentially could be the new uber of taxis, the airbnb of realty and yelp of foodies. The idea is pretty simple, you leave your laundry in your special "Alfred VIP bag" at the lockers located on the first floor of your condo. You text Alfred to pick it up, Alfred texts you when it is ready, and the fee is automatically charged to your credit card. Convenience aside, pricing is definitely where Alfred falls short of its counterparts such as Uber. The prices are "reasonable" for high-end cleaning, but not cheap enough for the average joe to use it frequently and at a large scale. The service (as listed from their website) is a bit limited as well. Alfred mainly services only Bay St. Condos. Good effort. I am interested in where this service goes. read more

Alfred SHRUNK my beautiful winter jacket. The concept of 24 hour dry cleaning is very appealing I would even say dropping of my jacket the first time was a good experience, however that's where it ended for me. I was told to expect about 2 business days for service which is perfect however it took four business days, not really that long in reality but twice as long as advertised. At pick up at the public location on Church street you have to swipe your credit card at the door to get in, not sure how comfortable I was with that.. But if you want your clothing back it's the only option. And the heart wrenching part my winter jack was shrunk. I used my jacket a few times this year before dropping it off for cleaning thus I feel confident in knowing how it fit and now it's so tight I honestly can only do up one button and the arms are so tight I can not move around. I defiantly can't fit more then a think t-shirt between me as the jacket and forget about raising my arms, that's feels like it would rip out the stitching. When I saw their lockers appear at my condo building, I had high hopes for this service. As an MD I sometimes work ridiculous hours, so the idea of outsourcing laundry was attractive. So, I downloaded the app and set up an account. This week things were particularly rough, so I bought some big laundry bags and put them in the big black lockers. I clicked on wash and fold, and since I hadn't sorted the bags jotted a note that there were shirts in there. I went back to work. I next received some rather creepy pictures of all of my clothing items... odd... who would want that? Why would that be part of the price we are all paying? I know what my clothes look like. Next came the bill. $130. Let me say that again $130. I nearly burst an aneurysm. I hardly make enough money to pay the interest on my loans... so what the hell. They had taken "there are some shirts in there" to mean "DRYCLEAN ALL THE THINGS" for my fold and launder order. I still don't have my clothes back and they'll only discount $30, insisting that I'm an idiot (effectively) by saying that I had implied dry clean. I've worked with some awful companies in the past, and I could generally work something out with them. This company that claims to be super customer friendly just... well they screwed me. read more

This is a great service especially for people that can't make it to a dry cleaner during business hours. The cost is very reasonable to have your dry-cleaning picked up and returned right in your building. They pick up your order within one day and have it returned promptly. You don't have to negotiate an earlier day like normal dry cleaners. They have also taken very good care of my items and do a better job than other dry cleaners I've used before. So please don't take shoes here to be repaired. They may be a great service for dry cleaning (which I can't vouche for), but I did take two pairs of boots to be repaired/stretched and after two weeks of waiting they were barely stretched and not repaired where I needed them to be. After sending them off again to be fixed, I finally got them back. Repairs are done and stretching is okay - but this entire ordeal was a 3 week process.
