Mom and pop cleaners at Queen St and John St. Very friendly service and quick turnaround. They can even finish the same day if you get there first thing in the morning. I simply love this place and use it weekly. The prices are reasonable and there isn't a stain they haven't seen. I've used them for silks, cashmeres, all the delicates... and I've always been satisfied. Plus, they do repairs and hems and quite impressively. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR DRY CLEANING NEEDS! They destroyed my beautiful Goorin fedora hat (which they said they could clean) and now they won't pay for the replacement of my hat. they are being absolutely rude and nasty about it (not the least bit apologetic or understanding either which is even worse). I'm absolutely pissed! I asked for the owner and the person I was dealing with (an older Asian gentlemen) said the owner wasn't there, only to find out the person I was dealing with, was in fact the owner. These fine folks did a fabulous job fixing up an old travel backpack I handed off to them, for $15. They used some really heavy duty thread to attach a strip of canvas material onto the top, which had nearly ripped off. It's sturdily on there now. It's a small, family-owned place. I'm really confused how this dry cleaner managed to get such a high rating. Subpar cleaning and pressing, unfinished alterations, and horrible customer service are ways I would describe their work. The old man who clerks the front desk is so incredibly rude. While I'm unsure if it's too late in life for him to improve his customer service skills, I do know that working with people is not the job for him. Probably the worst customer service I have experienced in a while. I have not been fully satisfied with their cleaning or alteration services, but have been going to this dry cleaners weekly since moving into the area purely out of convenience. Last month, I had a pair of pleated Prada pants taken in. During the fitting, the seamstress kept leaving and not listening to what I was asking of her. I do not think she understood how to work with this piece and should have honestly communicated her inability. The pants were cleaned but not taken in when I picked them up. Late last week, I dropped off a white Alexander Wang tux jacket and it came back with hairs on it. I trusted this dry cleaner to care for designer pieces because of their high Yelp rating and, quite frankly, they have lost my trust. Bad Experiences ever in dry cleaning. Cleaned twice for a same stain but can't be fully cleaned up, the stain was still there, and I got charged. Very disappointed and never come back again. I have read these reviews and have been here 3 times and each time my experience has been bad. I have found the older man and woman to always be rude and condescending. I feel like they think I should be honoured to be taking them my business. My first experience was when I took my husband shirt to replace a clasp that broke. I was told in a very rude manner that it could not be fixed. The next time I wen to have a zipper replaced for $20... seemed expensive but I went for it. When I went to pick them up, it took them 20 mins to find them. Once they did, I asked for my receipt back and the woman told me multiple times that I didn't need it. I had to explain multiple times that it was my visa receipt which I needed for my records. I shouldn't have to explain why I want my receipt. Strike 3, your out. Terrible cleaners and alteration. I went one day to get a pair of pants hemmed for work that evening, picked them up after a couple hours and it cost 12$. I washed the pants, the hemming came undone and I returned the following day to get it fixed. The owner was insisting on me paying 5$ for them to fix a job they did not even do right at the beginning, another worker did it while the owner was being far too rude and saying I can't clean the pants at home and I have to get them dry cleaned. The following time I washed the pants, the helming came undone once again and didn't bother going in to get them fixed again. I called in and spoke to the owner and he was surprised it specifically said on the pants that they are to not be dry cleaned and then said pants don't just come undone from the washing machine and accused me of ripping the stitching out myself. I would highly recommend going anywhere else in the city even if it's more pricey. Overall terrible customer service and they can't even own up to doing a poor job read more

Awesome service! As Vivek said this is a mom and pop cleaners at Queen and John. Extremely quick turn around and very very reasonably priced service. I've had several pairs of pants hemmed here and they've all come back terrific. Just for reference, hemming is typically just north of 10 bucks. I've also had a pair of pants fixed here (the stitching on the side broke) for something like 3 dollars! For the price, the quality of the work is terrific. NOTE: I am reviewing solely based on customer service, not on quality of product/service. Based on the customer service delivered, I decided not to be a customer. To be honest, I did not experience the same 5-Star rating as many others that have posted, and I am sharing my story here: - I came in Saturday morning with 2 dress shirts that had some stains. It was an Asian male and female at the front desk, they kept rotating between the 2 of them and I had to repeat myself multiple times - I did not mind, but it's not necessary. I asked if it could be cleaned by end of day Tuesday, he said that is a same day service, I thought that was odd given I came Saturday morning, but said it was fine. He then said he cannot guarantee it can be done - I asked, "based on your experience, can this be done by the due date?" He replied, I don't know, we'll have to see. He then said that I should take better care of my clothes. That's when I considered their service going beyond common standards. I replied, "unfortunately clothes do get dirty, but that is why we bring it to professionals such as yourself." He repeatedly said he doesn't know if they can get it done by then. I'm sorry, if you've been in the business for many years you should KNOW if something can be done by a specific time. Also, "taking care of my clothes better" - if we all had perfectly clothing, we wouldn't need their service would we; so he's commenting on the need of their own existence. I decided to go elsewhere and received spectacular service with a guarantee it will be done by Tuesday. read more

Really pleased with the speed and quality of this cleaners. I had a coat that 3 of the buttons fell off after getting caught to a scarf. I went in on my way to work and got all the buttons replaced and they also cleaned it for me to remove the lint. Super friendly, small family-owned and reasonably priced. Long story short. This dry cleaner turned my white tweed dress into a yellow and dingy color. As it is a designer dress, I consulted another cleaner. Accordingly to him, it is most likely the dry cleaner did not maintain his solution purified or filtered. The soluble impurities are then absorbed by the fabric... It's just like washing my dress and reusing the same dirty water over and over again. Unfortunately the other cleaner said they cannot grantee to save my dress. I will need to either dye it or live with the color. I will not go back to the Queen Dry Cleaners. At least not for white clothes. read more

NEVER EVER TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR HIGH END GARMENTS. I'm giving this place 1 star ONLY because of the lovely women who works there who had the decency to apologize to me. The man who works there ruined a 400$ tee shirt and treated me like I was in the wrong. He is so disrespectful I cannot believe this place is even open. I had to contact my lawyer and threaten a lawsuit to only receive 75$ in return for THEIR mistake. I would call and if the man would answer, & hear it was me he would hang up. There was zero professionalism shown with my experience there. The man is certainly in the wrong business as they ruined a t-shirt... imagine it was a full suit! The man had zero manners, zero work ethic, No professionalism what so ever. Just because of him I'm still considering placing a lawsuit against their business. You should be able to trust your dry cleaner to remove a stain; not completely ruin your garment than wait 2 weeks for a third of what your item was priced for...& when I say ruined I mean to the point it is unsalvageable. While the owner is a very charming older man, the quality of the dry cleaning is quite poor. In consecutive occasions, shirts have come back with major creases. Also, simple and fresh food stains were not removed, even though they were pointed out when brought in. Extremely disappointed service. I explicitly requested (THREE times) for NO PINS on the skirts I sent to them, and when I dropped off, the old guy replied with impatience, "we never used any pins" which is totally bullshit. And when I picked up the dry clean, unsurprisingly my skirts were pinned. The couple replied with "everywhere does the same things, the holes the pins left are not noticeable, it's impossible" shit. I made three points: 1. if you are going to pin, tell me beforehand when I made the request! so I can make a decision accordingly 2. the holes the pins left are very much noticeable and my garments are made of very delicate materials! I doubt that they treat their own cloth with such attitude 3. it's very much possible to hang skirts without pining them. Just use a clipper or simply slip the skirt through and hang (I don't mind a bit wrinkle compared to a big fat ass hole). Maybe it's an industry issue that they treat customer's clothes with such carelessness. If this is the case, this needs to change! Share if you had the same experience. read more

S-K-E-T-C-H-Y. I took two dresses here to be altered on a Wednesday. I said I wasn't in a rush so they said they'd have them ready in a week -- the following Wednesday. I couldn't get there that next week and only attended the Monday after that -- five days after they were supposed to be ready. When I showed up, the young guy had to turn the store upside down trying to locate the dresses. They were nowhere. He then called his Mom (it's a family business - she does the alternations work) and came back to the desk to tell me that she hasn't done them yet. I politely explained that someone should have called me not to come in yet as I had to leave work early to get there before they closed. The mother called me the next day to say they're ready. When I went to pick them up, I saw that the price tags had been removed! I had brought the dresses in brand new. It's not that I needed the price tags but it was very bizarre that they were removed. I asked her why and she had no good answer. I also asked her why they were not in the store when I came to pick them up five days after they were supposed to be ready. She tried to tell me they were when clearly they were not. I asked her if she takes her work home with her. She said no. Could it be that someone wore them???? Totally shady. I asked what the discount would be since they were ready a week late. She did not want to give me any discount and asked if I had cash. I explained I was not looking for a cash discount but a service discount. She gave me a whole $4 off an $80 bill. Yes, the alterations were decent, but the whole experience left me with a very suspicious feeling about this place. They are definitely not getting any further business from me. read more

I tried this place because it had some decent reviews and was close by. I got a pair of pants hemmed, but one leg came back slightly longer than the other. Not too big of a deal I guess, I would give them another shot...but I also got a few items expensively dry cleaned. One pair of pants got completely ruined - the instructions on the label said do not iron... I guess they decided to press them and needless to say, they didn't hold up... the seems are now highlighted and they look more like ragged jeans than dress pants. Also, the lack of a visible price list is irritating... i basically paid a lot of money for them to ruin my pants. Not going back. read more
