MAGIC! I brought two very complex tops to the seamstress - one mesh with beads embroidered and one crotchet sweater - both had holes and I thought they were a lost cause. When I came to collect them, the holes were perfected mended and I couldn't even tell where the holes were in the first place. I'm really happy and just thought I had to share!! read more

Mom and pop cleaners at Queen St and John St. Very friendly service and quick turnaround. They can even finish the same day if you get there first thing in the morning. My favourite part: they don't try to rip me off like every other place in the city. Obligatory Title Pun: Don't get CLEANED out. Menu Readability: Like every other cleaners, they don't post their pricing. Is this some unspoken agreement between businesses? Need to mention: They offer "organic" dry cleaning services here. Whatever that is. What this place teaches me about myself: I would like some greater transparency in dry cleaning pricing practices. Isn't anyone else outraged? I'm writing to my MP. read more

I simply love this place and use it weekly. The prices are reasonable and there isn't a stain they haven't seen. I've used them for silks, cashmeres, all the delicates... and I've always been satisfied. Plus, they do repairs and hems and quite impressively. I even left the owner's wife with a beloved silk shift dress that needed reinforcing at the hem and she did an excellent job. You can't beat them on location, quality and price. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR DRY CLEANING NEEDS! They destroyed my beautiful Goorin fedora hat (which they said they could clean) and now they won't pay for the replacement of my hat. they are being absolutely rude and nasty about it (not the least bit apologetic or understanding either which is even worse). I'm absolutely pissed! I asked for the owner and the person I was dealing with (an older Asian gentlemen) said the owner wasn't there, only to find out the person I was dealing with, was in fact the owner. One thing I hate in this world are liars...Absolutely brutal. I've taken things up with the Better Business Bureau to handle things properly. Please don't support bad business etiquette. Go somewhere else! read more

These fine folks did a fabulous job fixing up an old travel backpack I handed off to them, for $15. They used some really heavy duty thread to attach a strip of canvas material onto the top, which had nearly ripped off. It's sturdily on there now. It's a small, family-owned place. When I came to pick up my pack, the older gentleman and I had a great chat... Friendly people and great service. Will definitely be back for other tailoring needs! read more

This review is for the dry-cleaning service only. Great service - clean, quick and reasonably priced for the downtown area. The owner took the time to mark out stains on my clothes with a small sticker, and my clothes came back as good as new. read more

I'm really confused how this dry cleaner managed to get such a high rating. Subpar cleaning and pressing, unfinished alterations, and horrible customer service are ways I would describe their work. The old man who clerks the front desk is so incredibly rude. While I'm unsure if it's too late in life for him to improve his customer service skills, I do know that working with people is not the job for him. Probably the worst customer service I have experienced in a while. I have not been fully satisfied with their cleaning or alteration services, but have been going to this dry cleaners weekly since moving into the area purely out of convenience. Last month, I had a pair of pleated Prada pants taken in. During the fitting, the seamstress kept leaving and not listening to what I was asking of her. I do not think she understood how to work with this piece and should have honestly communicated her inability. The pants were cleaned but not taken in when I picked them up. Late last week, I dropped off a white Alexander Wang tux jacket and it came back with hairs on it. I trusted this dry cleaner to care for designer pieces because of their high Yelp rating and, quite frankly, they have lost my trust. It's so hard to find a competent cleaner in this city with so many overinflated misleading reviews. read more

Bad Experiences ever in dry cleaning. Cleaned twice for a same stain but can't be fully cleaned up, the stain was still there, and I got charged. Very disappointed and never come back again. I suspect the good reviews here are paid by someone because as far as I experienced, it's totally the opposite to the good reviews. read more

They're good for the money, damaged couple of my shirts. I guess they don't read labels. If all you have is regular cotton shirts - you'll be fine. They also do hemming and alterations (which reminds me - I have to pick up my sweater) To save money - use wash and press on your shirts read more

My go-to dry cleaners. Their turnaround is quick and the owner is very friendly! and the prices are reasonable.

I have read these reviews and have been here 3 times and each time my experience has been bad. I have found the older man and woman to always be rude and condescending. I feel like they think I should be honoured to be taking them my business. My first experience was when I took my husband shirt to replace a clasp that broke. I was told in a very rude manner that it could not be fixed. The next time I wen to have a zipper replaced for $20... seemed expensive but I went for it. When I went to pick them up, it took them 20 mins to find them. Once they did, I asked for my receipt back and the woman told me multiple times that I didn't need it. I had to explain multiple times that it was my visa receipt which I needed for my records. I shouldn't have to explain why I want my receipt. Strike 3, your out. I will no longer be returning. read more

Got my clothes done just the way I like them fair pricing friendly staff Quick service

Awesome service! As Vivek said this is a mom and pop cleaners at Queen and John. Extremely quick turn around and very very reasonably priced service. I've had several pairs of pants hemmed here and they've all come back terrific. Just for reference, hemming is typically just north of 10 bucks. I've also had a pair of pants fixed here (the stitching on the side broke) for something like 3 dollars! For the price, the quality of the work is terrific. The folks are also very friendly. read more

NOTE: I am reviewing solely based on customer service, not on quality of product/service. Based on the customer service delivered, I decided not to be a customer. To be honest, I did not experience the same 5-Star rating as many others that have posted, and I am sharing my story here: - I came in Saturday morning with 2 dress shirts that had some stains. It was an Asian male and female at the front desk, they kept rotating between the 2 of them and I had to repeat myself multiple times - I did not mind, but it's not necessary. I asked if it could be cleaned by end of day Tuesday, he said that is a same day service, I thought that was odd given I came Saturday morning, but said it was fine. He then said he cannot guarantee it can be done - I asked, "based on your experience, can this be done by the due date?" He replied, I don't know, we'll have to see. He then said that I should take better care of my clothes. That's when I considered their service going beyond common standards. I replied, "unfortunately clothes do get dirty, but that is why we bring it to professionals such as yourself." He repeatedly said he doesn't know if they can get it done by then. I'm sorry, if you've been in the business for many years you should KNOW if something can be done by a specific time. Also, "taking care of my clothes better" - if we all had perfectly clothing, we wouldn't need their service would we; so he's commenting on the need of their own existence. I decided to go elsewhere and received spectacular service with a guarantee it will be done by Tuesday. read more

The NICEST staff. Great owner. Amazing service and always very clean and usually quite quick. Wherever I go in this city... I will make sure to keep them as my D/C of choice. Thanks.... And I'm sorry for never having a receipt... and confusing people while I'm there... They are in the inner circle of businesses that I trust. Take that for whatever you want it to mean. --Noteworthy-- Organic, low toxin cleaning exists. It's probably not called that... but you know, whatever. read more

The woman there works wonders! Not sure how good their prices are but I don't care, Ill pay whatever if I need complicated alterations done. Recently had to get a silk dress taken out, had brought it elsewhere first but woman there said it was impossible, took it here and Holly (I think that's her name) did it within a week and dress isn't ruined in anyway. Highly recommend going here. Friendly, fast, and professional service. read more

Terrible cleaners and alteration. I went one day to get a pair of pants hemmed for work that evening, picked them up after a couple hours and it cost 12$. I washed the pants, the hemming came undone and I returned the following day to get it fixed. The owner was insisting on me paying 5$ for them to fix a job they did not even do right at the beginning, another worker did it while the owner was being far too rude and saying I can't clean the pants at home and I have to get them dry cleaned. The following time I washed the pants, the helming came undone once again and didn't bother going in to get them fixed again. I called in and spoke to the owner and he was surprised it specifically said on the pants that they are to not be dry cleaned and then said pants don't just come undone from the washing machine and accused me of ripping the stitching out myself. I would highly recommend going anywhere else in the city even if it's more pricey. Overall terrible customer service and they can't even own up to doing a poor job read more

Nicest guy! Very reasonable price. I had a leather bag that had a sunscreen stained on it. He offered to send in my bag and see if they can fix it. If they can't, he won't charge me. Few weeks later, he called and they cleaned my bag! Look as good as new! I was so happy! And, he was just as excited as I was! Awesome. read more

I ripped the outer nylon shell of my Canada Goose jacket and brought it to Queen Dry Cleaners to see if they could repair it. They had it beautifully repaired in 24 hours at a very reasonable price. Friendly, efficient, expert service. Fantastic! read more

Really pleased with the speed and quality of this cleaners. I had a coat that 3 of the buttons fell off after getting caught to a scarf. I went in on my way to work and got all the buttons replaced and they also cleaned it for me to remove the lint. Super friendly, small family-owned and reasonably priced. I definitely would go back for any other alterations. read more

I asked her to get the sleeves on my jacket shortened. It's the exact same length and still nearly reaches my fingers. Pretty much gave $25 and my jacket away for 4 days for nothing. And I have no idea how people say their customer service is so good when they barely speak English. read more

Long story short. This dry cleaner turned my white tweed dress into a yellow and dingy color. As it is a designer dress, I consulted another cleaner. Accordingly to him, it is most likely the dry cleaner did not maintain his solution purified or filtered. The soluble impurities are then absorbed by the fabric... It's just like washing my dress and reusing the same dirty water over and over again. Unfortunately the other cleaner said they cannot grantee to save my dress. I will need to either dye it or live with the color. I will not go back to the Queen Dry Cleaners. At least not for white clothes. read more

I am from out of town and was looking for a quick repair for my daughter's dresses. They were in the vicinity, great location, central, so I decided to try them. What I found: a very pleasant and friendly working couple (the woman has 40 years experience) The repairs were done to my satisfaction and most importantly within a short time frame as requested. The price no give away but not overly priced either. I will go back! read more

I have now had 4 dresses altered here and I LOVE how well they turn out. The turnaround time is fast and the alterations are quality.

Always the reliable choice for me. I won't have my suits altered by anyone else. My clothes are always finished on time, too. A relief to have these guys in my neighbourhood all these years! read more

I dropped off two items for dry cleaning, A lace dress (not the sexy kind) and a fall jacket. It came up to a little bit more than I thought it would ($32), but they did a nice job with both items. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

While the owner is a very charming older man, the quality of the dry cleaning is quite poor. In consecutive occasions, shirts have come back with major creases. Also, simple and fresh food stains were not removed, even though they were pointed out when brought in. I don't go here anymore because it defeats the purpose of getting shirts cleaned if I have to iron them myself. Still looking for a good dry cleaner in the area. read more

Extremely disappointed service. I explicitly requested (THREE times) for NO PINS on the skirts I sent to them, and when I dropped off, the old guy replied with impatience, "we never used any pins" which is totally bullshit. And when I picked up the dry clean, unsurprisingly my skirts were pinned. The couple replied with "everywhere does the same things, the holes the pins left are not noticeable, it's impossible" shit. I made three points: 1. if you are going to pin, tell me beforehand when I made the request! so I can make a decision accordingly 2. the holes the pins left are very much noticeable and my garments are made of very delicate materials! I doubt that they treat their own cloth with such attitude 3. it's very much possible to hang skirts without pining them. Just use a clipper or simply slip the skirt through and hang (I don't mind a bit wrinkle compared to a big fat ass hole). Maybe it's an industry issue that they treat customer's clothes with such carelessness. If this is the case, this needs to change! Share if you had the same experience. read more

I had both sleeves of my winter wool coat (newly purchased) altered (i.e shortened). They did an amazing, good quality job of the hemming & lining and made it look like the original lining. The pricing was also very reasonable. Definitely would go back for any other alterations. read more

S-K-E-T-C-H-Y. I took two dresses here to be altered on a Wednesday. I said I wasn't in a rush so they said they'd have them ready in a week -- the following Wednesday. I couldn't get there that next week and only attended the Monday after that -- five days after they were supposed to be ready. When I showed up, the young guy had to turn the store upside down trying to locate the dresses. They were nowhere. He then called his Mom (it's a family business - she does the alternations work) and came back to the desk to tell me that she hasn't done them yet. I politely explained that someone should have called me not to come in yet as I had to leave work early to get there before they closed. The mother called me the next day to say they're ready. When I went to pick them up, I saw that the price tags had been removed! I had brought the dresses in brand new. It's not that I needed the price tags but it was very bizarre that they were removed. I asked her why and she had no good answer. I also asked her why they were not in the store when I came to pick them up five days after they were supposed to be ready. She tried to tell me they were when clearly they were not. I asked her if she takes her work home with her. She said no. Could it be that someone wore them???? Totally shady. I asked what the discount would be since they were ready a week late. She did not want to give me any discount and asked if I had cash. I explained I was not looking for a cash discount but a service discount. She gave me a whole $4 off an $80 bill. Yes, the alterations were decent, but the whole experience left me with a very suspicious feeling about this place. They are definitely not getting any further business from me. read more

NEVER EVER TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR HIGH END GARMENTS. I'm giving this place 1 star ONLY because of the lovely women who works there who had the decency to apologize to me. The man who works there ruined a 400$ tee shirt and treated me like I was in the wrong. He is so disrespectful I cannot believe this place is even open. I had to contact my lawyer and threaten a lawsuit to only receive 75$ in return for THEIR mistake. I would call and if the man would answer, & hear it was me he would hang up. There was zero professionalism shown with my experience there. The man is certainly in the wrong business as they ruined a t-shirt... imagine it was a full suit! The man had zero manners, zero work ethic, No professionalism what so ever. Just because of him I'm still considering placing a lawsuit against their business. I'm not writing this out of anger; I just don't want the same thing to happen to someone else. You should be able to trust your dry cleaner to remove a stain; not completely ruin your garment than wait 2 weeks for a third of what your item was priced for...& when I say ruined I mean to the point it is unsalvageable. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR VALUABLE OR IMPORTANT GARMENTS, EVER. Would not return even if it was the last dry cleaners left in the city. This place is a joke. read more

I tried this place because it had some decent reviews and was close by. I got a pair of pants hemmed, but one leg came back slightly longer than the other. Not too big of a deal I guess, I would give them another shot...but I also got a few items expensively dry cleaned. One pair of pants got completely ruined - the instructions on the label said do not iron... I guess they decided to press them and needless to say, they didn't hold up... the seems are now highlighted and they look more like ragged jeans than dress pants. Also, the lack of a visible price list is irritating... i basically paid a lot of money for them to ruin my pants. Not going back. read more
