My technician, Tia, started my appointment right on time. She was quiet but checked in with me to make sure she understood what I wanted. While the service itself wasn't bad, there wasn't anything that stood out. At other salons I've visited, the experience typically ends with small finishing touches--like applying lotion or a brief hand massage--but this service felt very basic. I still tipped Tia 20% because Honey worked me into the schedule during what would have been Tia's break, and I appreciated that accommodation. Unfortunately, once I got home and removed my contacts so I could see my nails more clearly, I noticed several details that became more apparent over the next few days. It appeared the polish wasn't properly sealed, and one nail had missing polish along the side before I ever left the salon. Since my nails were completely dry when I departed, I believe those issues should have been caught before the service was finished. For me, the overall experience wasn't worth the drive or the price I paid. The video of my nails tells the story better than this caption ever could. That said, based on my interaction with Honey, I genuinely believe booking with her could result in a different experience. She made a great first impression, and if I were to return, I would specifically request an appointment with her.

Yet I was ok. I was trusting them and the process. I made my next 2 appts at that time. The second visit took just as long if not longer. I had plans but was not able to keep them as they were because the appt took so long. I never got the chance to go to the third appt which I made two months prior and had planned right before a vacation. They sent a text the day before asking if it was ok to move my appt to a new tine. I declined because again I had plans for that day. They then sent multiple confusing texts asking me to change my appt time which I didn't understand when they originally asked and I declined. They finally called and confirmed my original appt. They then sent a text on the day of my appt two hours before to say the tech had the flu and they would have to reschedule me and gave me 5 or so random appt choices during the morning hours as if I don't work. So very unprofessional. If you value your time do not waste it on this establishment. I overlooked the contract, the high prices and the long timeframe for the service but I will not compromise on how I am treated. I will never go back and I encourage you to not waste your time or money with this establishment either. Value yourself, your time and your money!

Overall it was a great experience. It was my first time to go to a "spa" dental office for my regular dental checkup. I liked that I was offered a warm towel to place around my neck, the warming/massage chair during cleaning, and choosing a Netflix show was an added bonus. I was sad I didn't get to take home a toothbrush/floss/toothpaste like I'm offered at a normal dental office. I noticed the main receptionist wasn't wearing a face mask when I was checking in and it was before any restrictions were lifted during Covid. I went to white dental spa looking for a second opinion after being told I needed a root canal treatment at another office, Dr.Liu was very honest with me and told me I only needed a crown and a root canal treatment was not necessary. It's in an unassuming little building along lower Henderson that I've driven by about 2,250 times without ever noticing that it's there. When my longtime dentist in Lakewood went out of network with Delta Dental, I found this place, which is in the Delta network. When I made my first appointment, I did find it odd that I had to wait a few weeks, while the dentist I was going to see awaited "recredentialing" from the insurance company - a term I was unfamiliar with. Also, they required an up-front $50 deposit, which I had also never encountered. But I haven't been a new patient anywhere in about 25 years, maybe that's the new normal. So 3 years go by, my dentist (who has since left) seemed solid. I had a few checkups and one crown to replace several deteriorating childhood fillings in the same tooth. It wasn't perfect at first, but the doc did some shaping and it seems okay now. They did always seem eager to push me toward expensive treatments with specialists, but I'm getting older, and those may be totally legit. Who knows? And then my company changed insurance providers from Delta to Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I called weeks before my next appointment to verify they accepted my insurance. "Oh sure, we take that" they assured me. A few days before my checkup, they text and ask for pictures of the front and back of my insurance card, which I happily send to them. I have my checkup, everything's great, I schedule my next one, take my free toothbrush and go home. A few weeks later, I get a bill for $78 for my routine checkup that should be fully covered by insurance. So I call, and they tell me that while the new dentist is (you guessed it) awaiting recredentialing with BCBS, I'm "temporarily out of network". So they knew this the whole time I was asking them about my new provider and sending them my insurance info 3 DAYS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT, and nobody bothered to say "hey, we do accept BCBS, but you're out of network right now, it's going to cost you $80, unless you wait until you're back in network". How hard could that have been??? I guess if you'd rather have my $80 than have me as a patient going forward, it's pretty hard.

Messed up a cavity filling and told me 6 months later. Fixed it and left me in so much pain still 6…read moremonths after the visit. One dentist gave hostile/judgment on a regular teeth cleaning. Left extremely unsatisfied and insecure.

I went to another dentist and my first visit with them I had zero cavities or issues but only 6 months later when I went back in I mysteriously had 9 million things to fix with outrageous prices. I wanted a second opinion so I came to FLOSS. Dr. Rob was super helpful and explained every part of the exam to me in detail then showed me the trouble areas. He told me what was important to get taken care of right away and what could wait if needed. The woman in charge of billing was super nice and showed me the break down of what it would cost out of pocket and what my insurance would cover. They were able to do the procedures I needed same day and I don't know if I'm just older and it hurts less but let me tell you the pain was extremely minimal. A little bit of pressure and sensitivity but otherwise it was a walk in the park compared to what I remembered as a child. I started at 10:20 and walked out by 2pm with very minimal waiting. I highly recommend all of the staff at FLOSS and I will be referring my friends.
