French toast slider
Ron W.

As I drove by today I noticed something new (to me) on the White Castle sign. French toast sliders. What's this? Is it possible? I made a quick turn into the drive-through line and ordered two. When they were delivered to me through the window, my car was instantly filled with the precious aroma of breakfast. At two in the afternoon! My first bite into this decadent, delicious, piece of goodness proved to me that Life is still good, and pleasure can still be found! It was EXCELLENT! Sausage was succulent. The French toast bun was soft and warm. The egg was fresh. The cheese actually tasted like cheese! I added a little strawberry jam to complete this fantasy-come-true meal. I'm sure the rest of the menu continues to be their signature blandness. But this... this is epic.

Place is busy at midnight geez. This gonna take a while....

Man I pulled up at 12:11 am Friday 11/18/22 with 8 cars in front of me. It took 30 min for 8 whiteys. I think I have problem...

*Drive-Through Review We opted for White Castle simply to try the "local flare" (no White Castles in the mid-west). I really wish White Castle lived up to the hype, unfortunately, it didn't. The burgers were extremely soggy with very little flavor and the fries had no salt whatsoever. The inside was closed due to COVID so we were stuck in the long drive through line. While the wait was quick, the customer service was not awesome. I'm positive this just has to be a bad location, otherwise, SO many people have been brainwashed into liking White Castle. This location gives White Castle such a bad name I'm not sure we will ever try it again. Happy eating Yelpers!

The 2-star rating has no bearing to the customer service nor the cleanliness of this establishment. It is solely based on the product itself! This was my first and would be my last visit. People advised me not to go as I was assured am not missing anything but curiosity got the best of me. I ordered meal #1 with 4 tiny burgers, fries, and a fountain drink. Burger was as described by my colleagues, grease soaked on the bottom bun of each sliders. The business model may have been "quantity over quality" as I call it "a poor man's burger."

I don't normally write reviews on chains and fast foods but this is my first time trying White Castle! They do taste better fresh than frozen ones you can get at Walmart. Different but in a good way.

I never review fast food because I expect it to mostly suck, but what happened tonight was so terrible I had to talk about it. I wanted to bring something to a trivia night fundraiser to share at my table (tacos? pizza? burgers?) I checked out the White Castle website and saw their featured deal: 20 sliders for $10.99. Perfect. Arrived at Shiloh store at approximately 6:20 PM on January 18, 2020 and went inside because the drive thru line was long. The young man working the cash register was polite, I don't blame him for any of this, he was obviously never trained correctly. I asked him for the 20 sliders for $10.99 deal. He looks at his his computer and can't find it. He suggests a deal that has 20 sliders and 4 fries for $19.99 and I decline. I show him the advertised deal on the White Castle website on my phone. He takes my phone, shows it to a woman who is apparently in charge, and she says that is only an "online offer" and there is no way for them to ring it up in-store... it HAS to be ordered online. I tell the employees that I am going to order that deal online and then place the order through my phone mere steps away from the cash register. I select the option to pick up my order and pay in-store. 20 minutes pass. Other guests are waiting for their orders and watching the female manager berate her several young employees for not dropping enough fish, wasting onion rings, being too slow, etc. I've worked in a food service kitchen environment and it is obvious to me that this manager does not have the respect of her employees; they're miserable. Other guests get their orders but none are correct. One is missing mozzarella sticks and another is missing 2 cups of cheese sauce. The manager finally looks at me and asks what I'm waiting for. I tell her I'm waiting for the 20 sliders that I ordered online. She has a confused expression, looks at the poor kid who is working the drive-thru and dining room registers, and yells at him because he never gave her the online order ticket... My order was never being made. I placed it, but no one saw it. A paper ticket was hanging off a printer, unseen. Over the next 10 minutes, the cranky manager assembled my 20 sliders and put them into bags. Another employee handed me the 2 bags and said "have a good night." Did no one know/care that I hadn't paid? I ask the guy if he would like me to pay for my order. Another confused look. He looks to the person we are still loosely calling a "manager" and she says "didn't you pay online?" No ma'am, I did not. Cashier guy does not know how to charge me. "Manager" lady comes over and shows him what buttons to use to ring up the order that SHE PREVIOUSLY SAID COULD NOT BE ORDERED IN-STORE. $11.80, paid. I don't expect a whole lot from fast food, but this place was not busy and they don't have a complicated menu. The "manager" does not know how to manage. Her employees failed, but it was clearly her fault. I wish I would have gotten the young guy's name at the register because he maintained his composure and polite demeanor despite his boss blaming her failures on him and the other workers. The offer I mentioned as well as a screenshot of my order are attached (the online ordering feature doesn't have an option to view the itemized order, which seems weird).

Food is OK, the service is horrible and so slow. Sat in the drive-in line for 10 mins with 2 cars in front if me.

Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. After combing through the menu and taking recommendations from the cashier I settled on the double burger with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and bacon. I also added a side of fries. They bring the order to your table and let me tell you, the presentation was great and the taste of the burger was even better. Amazing flavor, delicious bacon, overall great burger. Finger licking good. The fries were just as good. The food was so good I went back and ordered a turkey club. The delicious bread made the club to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the warmed turkey and cheese but the sandwich was still good nonetheless. If I'm back in O'Fallen, Hi Pointe is a must stop for me. They definitely made me a believer.

We were greeted immediately by the hostess to take our order, and my daughter liked that she was able to build her own burger from the menu and order it easily on her own (while the hostess patiently waited and helped her out). My daughter got a cheeseburger with bacon, while I got one of the special burgers- the Taco Burger, with seasoning in the patty and special sauce. It was all really good! My daughter wasn't a big fan of the seasoning on the fries (I think she prefers typical fast food), but I thought they were great. Also- the soft drink machine dispenses Excel/Ski products. Fun local touch! Service was fast and friendly. They came out to our table with our order fairly quickly, and they came back around a second time to see if we needed anything. Decorations are fun, and there is a collection of board and card games in the dining area. We played a little card game while we waited on our food. We'd come back with the whole family!

I thought it was a cute place with the white and navy blue colors. You can sit outside or inside. We decided to eat inside. There was about 9 nine people that ordered and was waiting for their food. I know this because while I was trying to order my food, every 2 minutes the other customers would go up and ask about their food. I seen the disgruntled look on these people faces. I would say when it came to anything that dealt with ice cream, it was ready in minutes. But when it came to food such as burgers, fish, fries, it took about 30 mins. My take on this is this establishment needs to keep up with the demands of what they offer. I would suggest limiting the items to choices that are a quick turnaround. They thrive in making the ice cream products fast while the fast food items take 10mins or more. I did not order the Funnel cake due to the worry of waiting for 10mins or more for it. I did not have any issues because I ordered a banana split, Concrete ice cream w/strawberries and Monster cookie on a cone. My selections were ok. I think it satisfied my sweet tooth, but I think the consistency of the ice cream can be improved. If Ted Drew's and Costco is in your rotation, then there's no need to explore elsewhere.
