I'm sure these folks would like to have been "Clean as a Whistle" car wash but I'll bet that very cool name was already taken. Despite the somewhat twisted name this car wash is just fine. As soon as you drive up you'll notice that the facility looks great. It received an upgrade about two years ago. Like most big car washes you choose the type of wash from just the basic outside wash to the super duper all the bells and whistles version. Of course that means a wide range of prices and they are competitive with the competition. Expect your vehicle to look as good as any of the competitors and I've found the staff to be friendly. We've always used this car wash, because they are efficient at managing the lines and it's a good wash. Plus there are ample vaccuums as you come out of the car wash. Today, they went up and beyond, though. We hosted a car line here for my six-year old son's birthday. All of the guests went through the car wash (after all, what kid doesn't love going through a car wash?), and then we had a table set up near the exit so that everyone could say hello to my son and we could give them a party bag. I paid $25 for the Platinum car wash - which included vacuuming the interior and cleaning the door jams - something every mom needs to have done now and then. I got back in my car to find 1/3 of it had been cleaned. When I asked why, they said there was "garbage in the way". Apparently a bag from Gap, with new shoes, a bag from Five Below with Play Doh, and my son's water bottle are "garbage" and cannot be lifted to be cleaned... I asked them I finish vaccum and wipe the door jams. The man held the vaccum near the floor on one side for about 8 seconds and walked away. I spoke with the owner who said "they know what they're doing. That would take and hour to clean and still wouldn't come up." Really? It's Cheerios and part of a cereal bar... They didn't bother. I've been coming here regularly for five years, but I'll never come back. ***I just used baby wipes to finish cleaning my car and vacuumed it myself. For those that dont know theres a automatic car wash in horsham that does the act same thing for $3..... Yes $3 I only go to horsham on my drill weekends unfortunately and of course where I live in philly the birds use my car for target practice.... Needed a quick car wash and ended up here on the recommendation from Audi Wynnewood (it's where they wash their cars). It wasn't the best car wash I ever received, but it got the job done. After the wash they are supposed to clean the interior and vacuum but they did less than stellar job. read more

I don't normally favor one car wash to another. If possible, I will often seek out a local high school sports team, or youth group, and give those lil F-ers the $5. But this old gem on Haverford Ave. just went through a renovation that calls out "give me a try." Luck would have it last Monday my car was due for a cleaning. Not many guys would hold onto a '87 Plymouth Horizon. But the thing only has 170K on it, and I know it can make it further if I just take care of her. The service here was very hands on. Lot of spraying, lot of words I prefer like: deluxe, ultimate, 20% off, and so on. The towel clean at the end was a nice touch. But the gentlemen doing the service seemed a bit unkempt themselves. Perhaps the owner frowns upon using his car wash for employee use? I can understand that possibility there for abuse/neglect. No snack shop or treats of any kind, so that puts a damper on the experience. But overall, I would say this is the 2nd best car wash I have ever used. read more

TAKE YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE! I hate to give one star but poor quality followed up with awful customer service just doesn't equate to much more. I opted for the $23 (ouch) interior/exterior cleaning as I was working with someone from my company who would be in my car and wanted it to be in ship shape. The interior cleaning took about 10 minutes which was expected as the car wasn't that dirty on the inside. I really only needed a vacuuming and the standard window wipe down. When I left, however, I noticed sloppy watermarks all over, some white smears (EW) on my wheel and drivers side door, visible dust/crumbs still in place, an average vacuum job, but worst of all, the interior windshield hasn't even been sprayed/wiped off leaving visible hand and foot prints. To me, that's not worth $23, I could/have done a better job myself!! As if that wasn't bad enough... I called to let them know I wasn't happy and the owner, who's nice as pie to your face, was incredibly rude to me and yelled at me that any smudges or dirt was obviously caused from me AFTER the car was driven off the lot. And that his workers do an amazing job and they'd never leave spots or not wipe a window! I've never been so disappointed from a service in my life! And for $23 I'd expect a better job and a cordial manager. read more

DO NOT ENTER, EVER. The only reason my car was washed here is because Audi uses this company for free service washes to their customers. The people at this car wash are the laziest people possibly on the earth. My car was dirtier after they finished with it. I took it to the manager and asked him to look at my car, and even opened the door so he could see the door jamb. His reply was "It's not a detail." I said "That is for sure, it's not even clean." This was supposed to be a premium service. The guy wiped one part of my driver side windshield with a dirty rag. I had to wipe my tires off in front of them, after asking if they were done. They just looked at me like I was speaking butthead or something. The whole crew should be relocated to the unemployment line. read more

These guys are usually at or below average, their quality is low and their service is usually average at best. They are better than a couple car washes on the Main Line, but not many...and honestly it's not worth it to go to car wash that is just average. On multiple occasions I have taken the car for a car wash here and they haven't even gotten it clean. It looks like sh*t after it comes out of this place. My latest visit, yesterday, was one of their classic events. I took the car in for a wash because it had bird poop on it and got the wash with wheel brighteners. I come out, they dry it off, tip the guys and leave. Next thing you know, I'm at the gas station and I see that there is still bird poop on my car, right on the front hood! How can you allow a car to leave your establishment looking like that...are you serious? So here's where it gets just comical...I take the car back to get it cleaned off, wait in a short line, pull in and tell the manager, actually he might be the owner of the place, what the problem is. He looks at it, gives me a rude and awful look and storms off inside to grab some stuff. He comes back out with a bottle of some kind of wax and a rag, gets the bird poop off in a about a minute. Then he proceeds to tell me about why that isn't covered in his car wash and takes the time to back the line up behind me so that he can back me out of the car wash, rather than running the car through again to make sure everything was straight. How cheap are you buddy? When I got home, I looked at the car as a whole, and there was still bird poop on the roof, there was a big shiny circle where he had taken the bird poop off my hood and overall the car looked no cleaner than when I brought it in other than the MAJOR bird poop being removed. Let's be real, these guys are sloppy and don't care about service and when it comes to car washes, average car washes are a dime a dozen, so unless they decide to clean up their act, there's really no reason to go there...EVER! I like the car wash in Bryn Mawr on Lancaster Ave, they are a little more pricey, but at least do a decent job. And if you really want an awesome wash, details or anything else, go to Wash and Lube on Spring Garden street downtown, those guys are THE BEST, it's totally worth the trip. Affordable and excellent quality, there's no wonder there's a line down the street every time I go, and it's TOTALLY WORTH IT to wait. These jokesters at Whistle Clean need to take a lesson from people who know what they're doing on customer service most importantly, but also on the quality of their product. This place is great! $23 for inside and out!! They hand dry car, wipe tires with the shiny stuff, clean inside windows, etc. every time I go, they find things in my car that have been missing for months. Service is fast! Love this place. A best kept secret. read more

The exterior wash is OK, but the interior vacuuming not so good -- when I went there recently, they didn't clean under the floor mats, and not in the trunk. So it's a much better value to have the exterior cleaning, and do the vacuuming yourself. read more

Since there are no other car washes nearby, and my car really needed a wash, I relented and went here. I was disappointed 2 years ago but thought it was a one-time thing. NOPE. Terrible car wash. They didn't even remove the floor mats (for which I paid) - leaves were STILL on the floor when I got back in. There was dirt on the hood of the car that didn't get washed off. Have been here a few time. Definitely do a nice job on the outside (probably a 4 star experience). Inside work was average at best (maybe 2 1/2 star). Just not enough attention to detail. Large crumbs still on the floor, didn't even try to clean a spill in one of the open cargo wells. So if you are just looking for an outside job, I would recommend. If looking for inside and out, you might want to try somewhere else. read more

I Paid $27 (cash only) for the platinum wash today which includes exterior, wheels, and interior cleaning/vacuuming/door jambs. Exterior and wheels were OK, the interior cleaning was terrible. It was wiped over with a dirty rag, still crumbs and dust all over the gear shift area. Windows are still dirty. Exterior mirrors are all smeared, had to clean them myself to be able to see out of them. Definitely not worth the $27 price tag for the quality you get. Go elsewhere for a full cleaning. read more

Only good for a quick clean. They only vacuum or do interior work by appointment, but turn off for me. Wheel brushes are too aggressive, so much so that they scrub the door panels on sedans. IMO those quick washes at gas stations would be a safer and better choice. Good luck. The birds definitely had stomach problems last night and they decided to settle on the tree above my car, so I definitely needed a wash. Usually I go to the one on Lancaster Ave in Ardmore but the line was really long so I tried Whistle since it was close and there was not a line. I asked the guy what wash he recommended to clean the stuff off my car and he was honest (which I like) and said he was not sure if any of them would get it all off. So he said to just get the $12 wash. This is their standard wash with a towel dry, etc. When I came out of the wash I tipped the two guys who were about to dry my car two dollars (I should have waited until they were finished). They dried it with one hand each b/c they were both on the phone while working. Since they were not cleaning the left over "dirt" off the car and could not reach the top of my huge Honda civic, I asked for a wet towel so when they were done I could get what they missed. They told me to pull my car over near the vacuum's and do it. As soon as I asked for that towel, they stopped?!?!? Kind of surprised since that is their job and I tipped them already. But I did what they said and I was able to clean it off. After drying my car myself, I walked over and asked them for tire shine just like everyone else was getting. The guy put it on three tires (cars have four) and then asked me for $3 dollars for that. I'm wondering if they did all four if it would be $4. So I gave a five dollar bill to the one guy who did not speak much English and he was wondering why I was giving them more money. The other guy told him to give me two dollars from the tip jar (my two dollars) and take the five. At this point, I was done and just pulled away. In the end, the car looks good. If I didn't already have a job they should think about hiring me since I did such a good job on my car. I will not be going back there. I will stick to the one on Lancaster where I do not have to pay $17.00 for a car wash where I am drying it myself. read more
