Prior to working with Daniel, my dog, Eugene, would bark, spin, mouth, run, and turn into a high-energy dog whenever someone entered my space, then stay high-energy after they left. It made me nervous having guests over. I put off dog training because I thought I could Google and read my way to a solution, we had a decent foundation in obedience on our own, and, frankly, Eugene and I had been stuck in our ways for some five years together. I wasn't sold on dog training. How wrong I was! Daniel's expertise went above and beyond anything I could've figured out myself. He helped me apply the obedience work we'd already done to create stronger boundaries and a better relationship. He noticed a few quirks in Eugene that meant generic dog advice just wasn't enough. Because Daniel has read so extensively in addition to his real-life experience, he could call out advice I'd picked up that wasn't serving us or help put it in context. Daniel is also dedicated to making the training process efficient -- he's not trying to sell you sessions you don't need -- and he makes himself available between sessions, which was a godsend as we were working through new behaviors. The Dawg Store has been amazing in providing top-notch care for my pup. The owners are very personable folk. They run the gambit of services for puppies to old dogs, hand raise to adopted. They will do training at their facility, or at your place. They really know how a dog thinks, and can offer some amazing insight into proper care for your four-legged pal. We have subscribed to a few in-house training sessions and on-site training sessions, all with measured success. The store itself is small, but not to the point where you're bumping shoulders. They offer a great selection of food and toys that really pass their tests of what is good and what is harmful to a dog. We've switched our dogs diet to Fromm (which he loves), and have picked him up some great toys and treats from this location. They also have a dog park out back! Two separate entrances to a large fenced in location where dogs can roam and explore without the need for a leash. They have ample watering dishes and trash receptacles to dispose of any treats your pup leaves behind. If you love your dog, please check this place out.
