Really bad experience from start to finish. Took in two vests for dry cleaning, one was a brand…read morenew, expensive gift, I had just cut the tags off to get it cleaned. First I had to argue with the employee that faux fur meant fake fur and not fox fur. That should have been my first red flag, but after I asked him to look up the definition of the word faux, we reached an agreement that it was indeed fake fur. A different employee rang me up for two jackets, I told him that they were vests and he argued with me about it. I was running short on time so decided just to leave and talk with them about it when I picked it up. He also didn't apply the first time customer discount. When I picked up the vests, the employee agreed that they were initially billed incorrectly, changed the ticket to vests, and said the first time discount could no longer be applied. Fine, was satisfied he corrected the bill, until I opened the package to see that not only was the material on the new, unworn vest now matted and rough (looks incorrectly cleaned), but is also now missing its belt. I mentioned the missing belt and the employee explained that since they didn't initially notice the belt, they weren't responsible for tracking it as a separate item. I asked him to look for the belt and he could not find it. I emailed the business asking for a manager to call me and still have not heard back. Recommend that you just save the heartache and go elsewhere.

Elements of sanity…read more *This wash house changed hands just a few months ago. I drive from SLV to this particular laundromat due to it being civilized, relatively clean, cheaper than SLV. They have paper towels, trash and recycling cans, vending machine, multiple coin dispensers. I haven't seen the inside of the bathroom because you need to download a code on your phone and thats just too much for me to deal with. You can also pay for laundry with your phone, I see other people doing that all the time. They have smaller dryers and larger dryers. Washer sized regular, x3, x6. You can buy soap there. I recently saw a person get their clothes stuck in the wash for "too much soap and not enough clothes" it took the wash house five hours to respond. Mostly it's clean and civilized. There's been times I've had to be a completely different person just to get my laundry done safely and I don't have to do that here. Take advantage of the goodwill being Nextdoor and go shopping during the wash cycle. If you have kids, theirs a nerd store right next to it that looks like it sells packs of cards all day long to real nerds. I think there's also a pizza parlor tucked over in thd back corner. I've been tempted to go look at the fish at the fish store.

Welcome to the machines…read more Wow, The Laundry Room on Seabright Avenue in Santa Cruz is a clean, well lighted place. So ultramodern it makes me want to wash my clothes more than once a month. Most coin laundries are run down and a little depressing, but not this one. It's shiny as a new penny. The shenney new washer and dryer machines run on cards that you put money into using another machine. They have even another machine for buying detergent and softener and all that - and another machine next to that for snacks and cold drinks. There are comfortable tables and chairs for people to work and read and hang out. Or you can nip next door to Brady's and get tanked up. And if you don't wanna do your own laundry, they'll do it for you. The crowd here ranges from fresh-faced college students to smiling elderly people and all kinds of rascals in between. It cost me about $10 to do one load last night And then I realized I'd forgotten some things. But that's cool because I wanna go back there and do some writing work.

I've been going here for the last year after switching from another "mat" on bay ave... I always find this place spotless and clean, with most if not all equipment running and in good order. The washers accept cards! Which is the coolest this ever...although the dryers dont.. The staff is always cleaning & darting around the place keeping everything sanitized, and aside from an occasional gruff reprimand for closing dryer doors "too hard" I've always felt, if not invited, at least welcomed. All In all, if you have to do laundry, this is the nicest place.

Our clothes and bedding are always ready when promised, washed and folded better than I could ever do it myself! And the pricing is great - just 1.50 per pound (most places were $2 - $2.50 per pound). I did some quick math and it's not that much more than the utilities I pay doing laundry at home...not to mention a time saver. If you are busy like me - juggling job, kids, life, etc - this is the answer to sanity!!! I seriously might never do laundry again! Oh - and it looks like their new self wash area is close to done! Brand new washer and dryers throughout the whole place! This is definitely going to be the best laundromat in Scotts Valley!
