However, there is not much shade and the biggest downfall, I would say, is that the restaurant on site is closed, and there is no camp store. There is a beer distributor on the property, but that's it. It would be nice to have a camp store like most campgrounds, and having the restaurant open would be a huge plus since there really isn't anything nearby. The hike to the falls is nice, and they are very pretty. If you like being in the middle of basically nowhere, this is a great little find. We did enjoy our time there, but there are some things that would make it a whole lot better.

It's very quiet there and the people are phenomenal that stay there. He has big plans for this campground and it takes people like you reading this to come support him. Go and stay there and get some much-needed relaxation. It doesn't matter if you're bringing a Hamic Tent RV Couch or the largest 5th Wheel you can think of there's room for you there. We stayed in cabin 1 and it was nice. Remember to bring comfortable bedding. There's a Camp beverage that has adult slushy's and most adult drinks. The campground bathrooms are clean and Showers are nice. There's a downhill hiking trail down to the Falls that are very nice. And if you if you're into Sasquatch, you will love this place. Camp store is growing by the day. They are still looking for a person to run the camp restaurant. Added bonus is There's a genaral Store, a half a mile from the camp ground that's perfect. The only downside about Group site is that there are no showers in the bathhouse and there are no water pumps anywhere! In the park, there is a lake where you can swim, kayaks that you can rent, and the visitor center even has fishing poles that you can borrow! The Falls trail is what attracts most people to this great park. It's about a 4 mile hike to see all of them and every step is worth it! I've never seen or stayed in the cabins. I decided to check them out today before leaving. They are beautiful, have great views, and look like they fit six people. Will definitely keep this in mind for next time.

We stayed at this campground the end of July 2022 to spend a weekend in Bloomsburg for an event…read more Having stayed at Lake Glory we knew we did not want to stay there again. While J & D campground was not in Bloomsburg it was an easy drive to get there. It is also close to Knoebels. It's family run and oriented which we liked and appreciated. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Our site was level and an ample size. Neighboring campers were friendly as was the staff. The pond was large, and while we did not fish we could have. The playground was newer and well equipped. While there is a pool we did not check that out, but did notice that a large round bathouse was closed. There were a few activities but since we were traveling without children only two we participated in. One was the food truck parking on the lot. We did get dinner there one night. It was expensive for what it was and not the exceptional but hit the spot that evening. There is also an ice cream shop across the street I believe owned by the same family that also served some fast food items. We got ice cream there every day, once even twice in a day, always greeted to a large crowd. I do do the boushie bingo which to me was a huge disappointment. They talked it up like this was a big deal and the prizes were above and beyond the norm. The price to play was like $5 or so but they had the lamest prizes, some used donations from other campers. I regretted even going and wasting money, as it was straight up regular bingo as the crowd could not seem to grasp the concept of "specials" so it wasn't challenging in the least. A huge miss for me. Otherwise a decent campground in an area without alot of activities or dining so do plan your trip accordingly because boredom sets in fast.

The biggest thing QUIET HOURS... the rude workers in the office expect you to just run to your tent put the fire out and go night night at 11pm SHARP. Yes I understand shut the music down at 11pm but when kids and parents are screaming at 6:00am in the morning it's perfectly ok?! Crazy "double standards". ALSO from my years of River safety and experience the life jackets that they have, are ripped, missing buckles, old and are past their expiration... if you want to enjoy camping without a headache and cognitive people go to LANDERS RIVER TRIPS!!!!! God forbid a yn wants a good trip.

There's a crystal clear creek running through the campground. The creek and the river are magical places for kids to play. They search for tadpoles and other critters and can swim in the protected lagoon, which gets deeper gradually. Finally, you can lay in the rushing river water for the ultimate spa experience. Can you tell we liked it here? The campground is run by a family who has had the land in their hands for generations. They are excited and kind about sharing it with visitors and have created an awesome culture of friendliness and respect among campers and the campground owners. There is a well equipped camp store with everything you might have forgotten and even local pottery. The bathrooms and grounds are very clean. They also run tube, canoe and kayak trips where they'll drop you off upriver and you'll finish at Soaring Eagle. We did a tube float down the river which was the highlight of the trip. There weren't many others on the river with us which was a special thing. They also rent canoes and kayaks. We'll try those next time.
