My boyfriend wanted to share with me his love for Eagles Mere and his summer memories he had there. We came during the off season and chose the Crestmont Inn because his late grandfather always stayed at the Crestmont. I walked ahead and was checked in by Hannah, a very welcoming and helpful concierge. Meanwhile, as my bf got our bags from the car, he was greeted by Bella, the inn keeper's sweet dog! She walked and guided him from the parking area to the office (which was the coolest)! The standard room was great. The bathroom is spacious with comfy foot rugs. The tv and wifi were a wonderful convenience, and the bed and sheets were so soft!! The halls are adorned with historic pieces of art and documents. And outside of the building are tables, chairs, and a hammock for relaxing outdoors. In addition to all this, the building has a commons area with ping pong, a pool table, TV, and cozy couches and chairs. It felt like a home lounge, and we had a blast indulging in the table games and watching Sunday Night football. We decided to have dinner at the Crestmont, and in every regard, it exceeded our expectations. Hannah kept us company as we had a couple drinks at the bar, and then we were seated for dinner. My boyfriend was happy to see 2 different steak entree options on the menu, and a 3rd steak option as a special. Our meal began with complementary homemade bread. It was an herb bread, warm, and was absolutely phenomenal! We ordered the steak frites as our appetizer. This dish was incredibly creative. The steak pieces were tender and full of flavor, and it was drizzled with parmesan cheese and a gorgonzola sauce. Neither of us are into gorgonzola, since it's such a strong flavor, but it blended in extremely well with the steak. So well that we ate every bite. Our entrees came out soon thereafter. For me - hoisin duck with sweet potato mash and charred spinach. The meat was fresh and hardy, perfectly seasoned and flavored. The mash and spinach were amazing. For him - the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus and a special sauce. Honestly, this steak was so good, that my bf says it's the best steak he has ever had. I tried it too - it's other worldly! This steak is so juicy and tender and packed with flavor. I would recommend this to anyone that likes steak. We could compliment and praise this dish all day. And the mash potatoes that come with it are so fluffy and deliciously seasoned. To simply sum this up, these entree dishes blew our minds. Finally came dessert - a half baked chocolate chip cookie a la mode and a vanilla creme Brulee. Both of these were outstanding, as well. The creme brulee was thinly crispy on the surface, a delicate and sweet texture, and beneath it was the creamy, rich vanilla custard. It was really really good, but if I had to pick, the cookie a la mode was even better. This cookie is no ordinary cookie.... this is the ultimate. It was crispy on top, gooey, and warm, almost like a melty brownie right out of the oven. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate and caramel drizzle. This cookie is heavenly! After dinner, we finished our drinks at the bar while we watched the game, and hung out with Hannah and Bella (the dog). All-in-all, the entire night was the best, and we were happy and full when we went to bed. The following night, we met Tony, the owner and chef of the Crestmont. He was extremely kind and gracious, and we were so glad to compliment him in person on the dinner from the night before. We assured him that we would be by for breakfast in the morning, and that our stay has been fantastic. The next morning, we had an amazing breakfast cooked by and served by Tony. The food was outstanding. I had coffee and pancakes with blackberry sauce, two eggs, and a sausage, and my bf had eggs and rye toast with pineapple juice and hot cocoa. We were both surprised to find out that this beautiful breakfast was included with our room rate, so we did not owe for breakfast. Tony, you are the man - thank you again for everything. This was an off-season experience: Pros: Room was very clean; bed was very comfortable; chef's risotto was absolutely delicious. When were arrived we were presented with a plate of wonderful iced chocolate cookies and a bottle of sparkling wine. Cons: When we arrived, a common room was stocked with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cold water. The next day the hot chocolate and cold water were gone and were never restocked; Included breakfast was pedestrian (eggs, frittatas, pancakes (buttermilk or sweet potato), salty bacon, white or whole wheat toast). No hot chocolate (odd for the mountains). My wife ordered whole wheat toast and was taken aback when served the end slice of the loaf! The buttermilk pancakes needed some salt in the batter to give them any taste and were served with maple syrup. It snowed a bit overnight and to our surprise, the path outside from the guest rooms to the restaurant/dining room was not salted. We also found it odd that during our first evening there, the dining room was cold enough to require coats during the meal, even though there was another unused dining room with working heat! There was not a whole lot going on throughout the area during our stay, so plan and book carefully. We did get a lot of rest and enjoyed that aspect of the trip. read more

I spent a cozy quiet weekend here with my fiancé. We were greeted and checked in by one of the owners Tony, who is also the chef. Our room the Theresa luxury room was great. It had a fire place and a little living room, our bed room had a comfy king size bed and the bathroom had a shower with great water pressure. The room was clean and we'll kept. We had dinner both nights. Delicious doesn't begin to describe the food. Melissa the other owner was our waitress. She was incredibly friendly. We had grilled Caesar salads, filet mignon with asparagus and whipped potatoes, lobster penne with truffle sauce and sweet corn both amazing. Dessert was carrot cake with caramel sauce and a delicious half baked cookie with ice cream, chocolate and caramel. So good! I cannot say enough good things. We will definitely be back! read more

We had only one night to spend at a resort last night. We chose this lovely inn. The rooms were large and comfortable. They are pet friendly and we brought our dog and she loves it too! It is very quiet and we were able to rest very well. Now we are experiencing the dining area having a lovely breakfast. It is quaint and cozy and the artwork is colorful and inviting I like it! There is a thin line between vintage and old. This place says old, "who's the boss old?" Roseanne old. I really wasn't feeling it or the tape holding the batteries in the remote.The room I stayed in was unexpectedly tiny, I mean no room for our luggage. The hot tub had a slow leak and the walls are thin. Customer service was good though, so was the food and the drinks. They had a game and t.v. area downstairs which was fun. We played foozeball, pool, and scrabble. They also have complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and drinks. Despite the hot tubs slow leak, I truly enjoyed having access to it in the room. It really is nothing around so if you go, have everything you need because they don't have toiletries etc or you will be driving about 20 miles into town. I did, but ended up at a nice restaurant called Kathy's. I didn't hate it, but I did expect a little more. Got it off groupon and I wouldn't pay the regular price. read more

Regarding the restaurant at the Crestmont, we have to give it a 5 for dinner. We ate there two of our 4 nights at the Inn and were very impressed with the service, friendliness and quality of the food. The steak my wife had was cooked exactly as she ordered it and the flavor was outstanding. I had a chicken dish that was excellent. All of the sides were wonderful. If you are in Eagles Mere, well worth the stop for dinner. They also serve breakfast. Make sure you get the pancakes. read more

This place was recommended by the locals at Eagle's Mere so we stopped in for dinner. We ordered the goat cheese pierogis to start, which were excellent, and the night's lamb special and hanger steak special. I wasn't too fond of the fried mashed potato croquette that came with the steak but everything else was to die for. Lamb is very hard to get right as it usually turns out gamey but the chef did a wonderful job of making it absolutely mouthwatering! To finish off, we polished off a plate of goat cheese and ricotta cheesecake with mixed berry compote with orange blossom syrup...all I can say is OMG! We basically fought each other for the last bite. The service was a bit slow but the food definitely made up for it. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth stopping! read more

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is better than I've had a most metropolitan cities, for a very reasonable price. The breakfast better than most B&Bs I've stayed at in over 30 years. Sadly, the room needs a lot of work. We were in the basement and perhaps that's the reason it was a bit neglected? If it hadn't been a celebratory weekend I would've insisted upon being moved. The smell was very musty the air-conditioner very dirty the pillows very smelly, the beds and all the linens, as well as, all pillows should be replaced. It looked as though the roof had leaks, which may account for smell? The arrangement of the rooms was very convenient , Jack and Jill style. Saddens me that the rooms were so run down. Did have a nice rec room. Would strongly recommend if the rooms were cleaned and updated. Currently...just recommend for dinner. read more

I purchased a Crestmont Inn Groupon as a birthday present for my boyfriend. We redeemed this Groupon at the Crestmont Inn for a one night stay from March 28-29. We stayed in the Oliver Garden Room. While we had a nice dinner at the Inn, overall, our experience was terrible: --For the entirety of our stay, the Inn had no hot water, which meant that we could not shower unless we were willing to stand the ice-cold water. We were told that the gas company was coming to fix this problem, but it was never fixed. We were not given a refund despite this. --The room was absolutely not as pictured on the website. The photo of the room on the website shows a beautiful garden-themed room with yellow walls and floral stenciling, with a beautiful four-post bed. Our room was completely different -- very little decor, a very plain and uncomfortable bed, very thin walls, and stained bath towels. In this day and age where every bed and breakfast has a website that shows their rooms, this is akin to false advertising. --Service at breakfast was horrible because the Inn only had TWO staff members present. This was due to the fact that the owners were on a month-long vacation. What sense does it make to go on a month-long vacation when you're offering a Groupon? The cook complained loudly about having to rush around to serve us, despite there only being five tables to serve. The other staff person was the housekeeper, who did not know how to wait tables. The cook repeatedly complained that everyone "rushed in" at once, but that's to be expected when you can only get breakfast during a particular 1.5 hour period. For $99 plus the $100 dinner, this was simply unacceptable. I feel that I am entitled to at least a partial refund. read more

Went here for a dinner with a group of people after a wedding. The place has a really nice atmosphere on top of the hill overlooking Eagle's Mere. The restaurant is in an old home so you get a nice cozy feel in there. The menu definitely was geared more towards fish and duck. They did have filet mignon and a gnocchi dish if you weren't a seafood person. I ordered the port wine pear salad, someone ordered the salad that was on special that night that was supposed to have edible flowers in it but when it came out there were none in it, another ordered the filet mignon and other had the duck. The food came out looking spectacular, and the chief really knew how to make a dish that was both impressive and tasty. The only reason why I can't give this more than 2 stars is after the meal wasn't filling. I wouldn't go back here knowing that after eating here I'd still be hungry. I expected the salad to be smaller but it was more like a side salad not a main dish. The filet and duck while both looking tasty and having good feedback, left more to be desired. Bigger portions and this becomes a 3-4 star rating and I'd consider coming back. If you think restaurants in general give way too much food and you can never eat it all, this is the place for you with a great portion size. For those who like the option to overindulge every once in a while, this place leaves more to be desired unless you plan on getting both a dessert and an appetizer to fill up. read more

What a wonderful hidden gem! As others have described, the inn is located in a very quiet town. We visited during a particularly quiet time (between Christmas and New Year's), but we had such a good time regardless. The rooms are old but very well kept. Very cosy and definitely romantic! The owners were very sweet and allowed us to move to a room with the whirlpool (which was divine!). Definitely an amazing spot for a quiet vacation. Relax, go to the games room and play some pool, read a book.. For the active, it's probably best to wait for good weather but if you want to just get away and relax, this is the spot for you. The real prize though is the food. The food you get at the Crestmont Inn rivals the best gourmet food in New York City. Everything was exquisite. The breakfast was delicious, made with local ingredients. The omelette was juicy and stuffed with fresh vegetables and cheese. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The french toast was crispy and juicy. And dinner... Where do I begin? We had the caesar salad, which was phenomenal. Grilling romaine? Who would have thought? Amazing add of a charcoal flavour to a classic. The wings and ahi tuna were also delicious. For mains, we tried the fillet mignon, the scallops and gnocchi and the duck. Everything was divine! The meats were cooked to perfection, but more importantly all the parts of the meal tied perfectly together, from the parmesan truffle mashed potatoes to the superbly sautéed spinach with a variety of spices. And just when we were stuffed, we had the tollhouse cookie and went to heaven. A perfect combination of crunchy and goopy melted chocolate chip cookie, with vanilla ice cream and sauce on top. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Absolutely perfect romantic and relaxing vacation. I would happily drive 3 hours to eat this food again. read more

Spent one month in the area for work. My significant other came to visit for the weekend and the Crestmont Inn was recommended to us for dinner. The food was delicious! Slightly pricey but definitely worth it. We came kind of late in the evening but there were still lots of people dining and the staff were very accommodating. I was overall pleased with our recent stay at the Inn and incredibly pleased by our meal at the restaurant. Our meal was AMAZING! I enjoyed the crab cake and my husband enjoyed scallops and gnocchi. We shared the spring roll appetizer which was also delicious. I had the most amazing creme brule I've ever eaten for dessert and my husband enjoyed an equally yummy half-baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. The staff was attentive at our meal times and elsewhere and were always friendly. There were complimentary/included drinks and snacks in the inn area available 24/7 which was really nice. Your included breakfast is not fancy but it is tasty and is made fresh to order. Having wifi is a really nice convenience, particularly since cell phone coverage is spotty at best. The towels were soft, the bed was so luxurious, and the tub in our room was just the right touch for our romantic week away. BUT the whole inn complex is in need of an upgrade or some TLC. This need would not necessarily stop me from visiting again but it would have me looking at other places in the area first. There were many small things that needed repaired on the grounds - such as the screening on the porch being completed (only two of the three sides were full screened which is not super helpful). The bathroom in our room had an odd smell that did not go away when I ran the fan or left the door open to the rest of the room(more than just your typical old-house smell). Th grout between the bathroom tiles was very dirty and I'm not sure it had been cleaned since their installation. The whole complex just had a little need for some love, especially when compared to the cost of a visit. I will also say that Eagles Mere is not really a destination if you're looking for many sites to see, especially in the beginning or middle of the week - many things are closed Monday - Thursday. You do get access to the country club and the lake with your stay at the Crestmont but if, like my husband and me, you prefer to do more than chill on the beach, you'll have to drive a bit. read more

Had an Anniversary dinner at the Crestmont with in-laws last evening and loved it. We started with a bottle of wine and the mushroom and truffle pizza, followed by salads, and 4 different entrees. We had the Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes, Porcini dusted scallops over gnocchi, Lemon-thyme chicken with Parmesan risotto, and Free-form lobster Ravioli. The entrees were all delicious and the only bad thing was, we were too full to try any of the desserts. We will have to save room for dessert on our next visit. We love this place. This was our second stay in 2 years. Accept that the rooms are a hundred years old and there is only so much that they can be renovated. Soak in the charm and ambiance. Eagles Mere is a special place to be and this is the best place to stay in Eagles Mere. Breakfasts seem to have kicked up a notch this year with more healthy choices. My Wife and I have stayed at the Crestmont many times. They Previous Owners are back and running it as a Guest House. We enjoy the Lake and it's beautiful beach. The Eagles Mere Air Museum is worth a trip. It now has a "Muscle Car" Museum for the same Admission. We had Dinner Saturday Night. They serve Salad Bar with Shrimp,Salmon and Chicken for $20 or You can have a Giant Steak dinner for $20. Hope to be back for Fall Foliage , if not sooner. We enjoy visiting Worlds End State Park and touring the area's covered bridges. Big Mike's in Forksville is a great place to eat also. read more

Found this place on Groupon, got it for 2 nights. We reserved one of the simple rooms, when we got there they kindly changed our room to one of the more luxury ones, no charge. The room was quite large, nice king bed (everything so clean), very nice and clean bath and above all, whirlpool tub in the corner of the room. It was completely functional and the lighting on top of it was romantic. The dinner was exquisite. We got the chicken and burger with Caesar salad. All were beyond expectation and totally reasonably priced! I was so excited to try the other dishes the night after but unfortunately they were closed on Christmas eve. I had one of my best dinner experiences. In the main building, there is a small room with a coffee machine, fridge filled with soda and water, and a microwave. So at any time of the day, you can have a drink or warm up a small snack. All complimentary. Breakfast was even more exciting! You can choose anything from the menu, different kinds of delicious omelettes, banana french toast (it's awesome!), pancakes, cup of fresh fruit (Long menu, I honestly can't remember them all). I just want to assure you that you can't find a breakfast as nice and delicious anywhere. The only problem was that we went there on Christmas eve, snow everywhere and most of the town was closed and we had absolutely nothing to do. When we told them, they kindly offered 1 night of stay in any room of our choice on any day during the year in exchange for our remaining one night. It was beyond generous! I booked a date here Jan 16th for 1 nite to celebrate an anniversary with my boyfriend. I booked a luxury room 3 weeks in advance and picked whispering winds as my choice. It is a 3 hour drive. When we got there, we were greeted by Melissa who showed me a less than luxurious room. I advised that this is half the size of the room I saw in the pictures and not the room I booked. Melissa informed me that Tony, her husband, sent in email to me, of the last minute change. I received no such email. She then changed us to a room called quiet times which was supposed to be in the same tier as the luxury room. It was not because I got to look into the rooms I selected as options. The luxury room i originally booked was larger, had more furniture like a dresser and twin cot and sofa, with Beautiful linens and drapery. The room we got was smaller, outdated, dirty, and had one old uncomfortable bed and chair with 2 night stands, and plastic blinds. The place was slow and quiet since it was the off season. The service was run by a Skeleton crew of the 2 owners and 2 others. The dinner which was $91, not including the tip, was the best in regards to the whole experience. I was treated rudely by the owner, Tony, when I asked for a little discount, because the room was not what I selected and had dead flies in it. He begrudgingly gave me a receipt for a $20 refund. I have yet to receive this refund on my debit card. My numerous emails to Tony Faulkiner now just seem to be ignored, after one response of saying he will look into it. My wife and I, and another couple spent a wonderful two days at the Crestmont Inn, in Eagles Mere, PA. The highlight of our visit was the suppers, prepared by Crestmont chef and co-owner, Tony Faulkiner. (Tony's wife, Melissa, is the other co-owner.) The food was all fresh, and better prepared than in many of the more expensive restaurants in our hometown of Philadelphia. Grilled scallops with gnocchi, which our friend, Diane, had the first night, was such a success that the four of us ordered it to share as an appetizer the second evening. The meat dishes, including filet mignon, and veal were also successful. I enjoyed the BLT salad, which came with beefsteak tomatoes, arugula and real bacon bits (of course). Even the Kobe beef hamburger was delicious. Tony also has great taste in wine, but at very reasonable prices. There is a small, cosy bar where we relaxed after a hike and the beer selection was also top-notch. The Inn has comfortable accommodations at a range of prices (we had a special two day package, which included two breakfasts and one dinner). The Inn staff were helpful, courteous and fun. The town of Eagles Mere itself is picturesque, on a clean lake, with many interesting parks nearby. read more

Eagles Mere is an excellent vacation spot for hikers. It is near several state parks, such as World's End and Rickets Glen. The Crestmont Inn has excellent, friendly service and very good facilities. The restaurant with new chef, Tony Faulkiner has excellent food, a very good wine selection at reasonable prices, and superb craft beer. The items eaten were porcini encrusted scallops, done to perfection, sweet, and moist. The salmon was grilled to a crust on the outside with moist tender fish inside. Flavor was excellent and it was wild, Maine salmon. A filet mignon was a thick piece, cooked well outside and pink inside. It practically melted in one's mouth. I have eaten at many upscale restaurants in Philadelphia and a precious few were superior to the Crestmont at multiples of the price. read more

The Inn is located in an area where there is an abundance of fresh, locally grown produce, yet it was clear they were using store bought, days' old tomatoes and such. My stay was July 16th to July 17th 2016. The Inn is in desperate need of some TLC. It is old and definitely is showing it's age. The outside needs painting and there were weeds growing in the rain spouts. Inside the rooms are dated looking and the bathrooms are as dated and basic as can be. Complete with water stains on the wall. The sink was all cracked and the toilet barely had enough water to make a difference. They must be on well water because pressure in the shower was lost halfway through my shower. My advice, don't stay there! Really, don't waste your hard earned money on this place until/unless they spruce it up on the inside and the outside. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is for the food at the restaurant, it was delicious. So eat at the restaurant, but do not stay at the hotel. You have been warned. I could go on an on about the bad things. And if you reserve on line, make sure you have your online reservation with you, as they tried to charge me more than the price I reserved for online. Have to say, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! The food was sub par and over priced for what we got. The decor of the place was very dated and the wait staff could be better trained. It's pretty bad when the waitress is telling you a featured drink being orange juice and champagne and not saying it is a Mimosa. And she was reading it off her written sheet of specials...wow! For sure not a gourmet restaurant....they would like to be but they have a long way to go. I'm generally not one to complain about food, but this place needs an honest review. This place advertises itself as providing a choice between fine dining and a pub atmosphere, while we didn't eat in the "formal" dining room, it seemed more like the fine dining room at the retirement home where I worked when I was 16. The "pub" had a meager beer selection, none on draught, and the bar itself was about as long as my arm. My girlfriend and I felt very awkward walking in as the group in front of us was being seated; my girlfriend and I (dressed casually but not sloppy, expecting a "pub" atmosphere), were looked at with disdain by the other patrons. I'm sure these snoody old folks were there to impress a guest, but let me be clear: you will not impress someone with the food or atmosphere. If you don't have taste buds or if you've never been out of the area, you might be fooled, but I've had better meals from a taco truck in the middle of the Arizona desert. Our drinks. The server asked us what we'd like to drink and we responded with, "Could you tell us which beers do you have?" She replied, "I don't know they change so frequently..." and proceed to rattle off some guesses about what they carried. So, we asked if we could take a look at the selection at the bar and she followed us over to get our order. Now, it wasn't a long walk or much of an inconvenience, and I understand it's difficult to keep up with a rotating list of beers, but I could've easily listed the ten or so varieties after my 5 second glance. Easy enough to memorize before your shift starts. We order our beer, she comes back seconds later to tell us they only have one left of the beer we both ordered, no problem. I order a different one and am given a completely different beer. Pretty difficult to mix them up (I ordered a lager and was given Coors). Either this girl is new (though she didn't seem it) or she needs some guidance on time management and good service etiquette (I'm trying hard not to sound snobby, I really never complain and, having been a server, empathize with them). Now for the meal. We didn't really expect a 45 minute wait for our meals - "hen" (chicken to us peasants) and a pulled pork sandwich (not complicated dishes), considering we were one of only 2 or 3 tables that were sat at the same time with plenty of waitstaff milling about, but that's fine we always have plenty to talk about, just seemed abnormally long. First bite of sweet potato fries: cold, under cooked, and lifeless. First bite of pulled pork: cold. Second bite of pork: so scalding hot that the sauce burned my thumb (don't worry, I'm fine). A few more bites of the sandwich and I realize the taste is decidedly hot dog-like, and the sauce is an overly sweet, lackluster disappointment. I've had better pulled pork from the refrigerated section in the grocery store (I'm sure this "pulled pig" had a similar origin). Hugely disappointed with my meal so I try my girlfriend's "hen",which she is enjoying. Has a weird, artificial/chemical taste, cooked poorly, and the corn risotto stuff was appallingly average and way too sweet. I cannot stress it enough, do not waste your money here! Food is abysmal and overpriced, the cocktail we tried (lemon drop) was weak and overpriced, and the place does not make you feel at all welcome. I would also like to emphasize that I rarely complain about food and even more rarely don't finish or box up my food (I'm a bit of a glutton). There was food left on my plate and I left wholly unsatisfied by the experience. I'm sure there are simpler, more tasty restaurants in the area that should be considered before this place. You will not be impressed nor will any guests with whom you're dining. Out of five: Service - 2: she was nice but did not know how to do her job Food - 0.5: my girlfriend liked her chicken, but my meal was abhorrent Atmosphere - 1: nice, wooded surrounding but definitely not at all pub-like, as advertised (nor fine dining for that matter) Overall - 1 (or less): not worth going, save your money and go get pizza or something. I am rarely that disappointed after what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend out in the country. After hectic workdays we wanted to be a little pampered, not aggravated and cheated. This place is very outdated. It smells strongly of mold and decay. Our room was stuffed with old furniture and doilies and curtains and old bed cover, and all these tons of fabric was dusty and suffocating. They have great pictures on their site that present the Inn as this charming country cottage, but up close it all looks cheap and not clean. The carpet in our room was this horrible peasoup color and was disgustingly old and smelly. The AC was old and so noisy that we could hardly sleep, it didn't refresh the air in the room a bit. They call their restaurant fine dining but it's a scam - everything is so oversalted and tasteless so to cover up how unfresh the produce is. Even the simplest thing - spinach - was so dry, it was clear it was thawed. They boast tennis court but don't offer any equipment. They say hike around the lake but dont offer any decent map. The only good thing is this charming and picturesque lake, nature there is truly nice but Inn owners had nothing to do with it. They charge you and arm and a leg for their rooms, but dont want to invest a little to bring their B&B to the 21st century. At the end be prepared to pay hefty hidden fees that are not specified at the time of booking b/c "their site has not been updated for a while" Why customers have to pay for this? What a wonderful stay we had at the Crestomot inn in Eagles Mere, Pa. Its a lovely getaway. We were there 2 nights and 3 days and never left. Great r & r for us as our lives are pretty hectic. If you drive a 20 or 30 minutes you can go antiquing, wineries etc. Breakfast comes with your stay and it was truely amazing. They also offer dinner which is easily 5 star rating and even more if one could rate it. The deserts are so ffabulous and they are not stingy when they give you a piece of desert. All portions of food is more than you can eat. Well we ate it as it was so good. Back to the gym on Monday but oh it was so worth it. Tony is the owner but we got to know Susua, his right hand gal. She was so frinedly and helpful in anything we wanted. There is a little cafe, free to the guests that have homemade chocolate chip cookies , fabulous coffee, bottled water and soda. Anything you want is there for you. One added extra the sheets smelled divine. They were so clean, everytihing was spotless. Again if we could give more than 5 stars we would for this great inn. read more
