You'll need to adjust your expectations if you reserve a spot for your RV at this campground…read more I suggest you have one set of expectations for the overall area -- it's truly scenic -- and lower your expectations for the campsite itself, which is crowded with uneven sites in some cases, sloppy overall appearance, with run-down restrooms. Cellular coverage is spotty at best -- but this service is, of course, out of the control of the managers. The biggest problem with the sites at the main campground area is they are too close together.. If you sustain the misfortune, as we did, of acquiring noisy neighbors, you'll be in for a long, sleepless night. There needs to be more enforcement of rules. Our neighbor's site had no less than 3 pickup trucks on it, with one guy banging away at metal underneath one truck for over an hour. Young children, we're running around screaming and hollering out of control. The parents, several sets of them apparently, were busy carousing. This behavior might not have been so noticeable if the campsites were not so close together. We had to close our windows because our neighbors started a fire, and the smoke poured into our coach. We checked out sites across the water up on a hill. The roads are dirt and stone with rain gulch runoff. The terrain is uneven, as are some of the sites. The entire area is under a canopy of trees -- great shade. The bath/shower house is under renovation and closed as of the date of our visit. Our recommendation: pick another park unless you have a specific reason to be here.

In summary: We were treated like we wanted something for nothing the ENTIRE time here, I wish we never came. In a two night stay we had three encounters from three different employees, including Waking up to being told to move from a spot, then to be offered it later. "You know you're supposed to be gone" 6 minutes after check out, while RVs around us were just starting to pack up. "Y'all sure like takin liberties, don't ya?" When showering with permission. All this was chalked up to "people doing their jobs." Skip the place unless you fit the usual retiree RV standard. You will be judged and harassed and pay just as much for it.

There is a big cabin in the back of the property and lots of trails. Nice shade trees and flowing fields of green. The place has a bath house the is kept neat and tidy. Everything everywhere was neat and clean. Sunshine at the front reception had a very bubbly and helpful personality. There are several different things to do while you are here. I liked exploring the woods that led to a small waterfall . It smelled so fresh and new because of all the greenery. I felt so far from civilization but wasn't. It was only about $40 a day with water and power hook up. You can get a sewer hookup for $10 more but the dump station is free down the path not too far from the campsites. I am looking forward to returning here. I love the peacefulness and tranquility of the place. I just wish I could of jumped in the lake for a swim but I don't think that is allowed. The stream in the woods was very cool and refreshing though. I love this place!

The campground was essentially empty and they placed us a 25 minute walk away from the bathrooms. This is not ideal especially in the middle of the night. It was extremely frustrating as the bathrooms were next to the RVs (which tends to have bathrooms in their vehicles) and nothing available for Tent Camping or anything else
