My niece and her family traveling from out of town met us at Whisky D's. We chose Whisky D's specifically because they have a nice outside patio that is dog-friendly (and they were traveling with their 3-yr old retriever). Plenty of comfortable space with a view of the water. Only irritant were some pesky bees that kept trying to steal French fries. The food we ordered was delicious and was served super-fast. Lee behind the bar was friendly and seemed to do everything (tend bar, serve tables inside). We just ordered our cocktails and food items inside and then Lee brought our food out in record time. The burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and Nashville Chicken sandwich were all piping hot and DELICIOUS. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

Great experience as first time visitors from out of town. We were able to enjoy a meal on their outside patio with our little dog. Great spicy Bloody Mary and craft beer on tap. Free popcorn for us and free dog treat for our pet. Lee was friendly and helpful. Food was tasty especially the homemade crab salad.

Surprisingly good bar food! Very tasty fish on Friday nights; delicious burgers and sandwiches when not opting for fish. Decent standard cocktails and friendly staff.

This has been a favorite place in Two Rivers for years now. Very cool bar on the banks of the West Twin River. There is outdoor seating with nice scenery. I usually go here alone. Have a couple of beers and some very well done onion rings. The bartender is a really nice guy. Makes you feel welcome. One of the few places where they still play bar dice. Good seating, either at the bar or well spaced tables. You aren't crowded. Friendly patrons abound. The menu has a lot of options to please most diners. Lately we have gone here for the Friday fish fry. While there are several options to what kind of fish you want, we usually pick the lake perch diner because it is so very good. I suspect they get their perch from Susie Q's. The perch dinner comes with rye bread, potatoes and some very unique and tasty cole slaw. With 2 PBR's apiece and our dinners our bill was just over $40. Bottom line, this is a pleasant, friendly Wisconsin tavern that serves really good food. If you can find it, check it out. You,too, could have a new favorite in Trivers.

Whiskey D's has a lot going for it and also some counterbalancing negatives. The business itself is tucked away on a side street in Two rivers that is definitely off the beaten path. I went to this restaurant based purely on the Yelp reviews and when I asked my daughter-in-law who has lived in this area her whole life about this business she was not even aware of the business. The moniker hidden gem definitely applies here as they definitely have a loyal local clientele from what I saw where knowledge of this business is spread by word of mouth by the locals. This also demonstrates the power of Yelp as I would never have found this restaurant without Yelp. Getting back to the establishment , on the positive side their food that they specialize in, bar style seafood/burgers/sandwiches is quite good, with prices that are easy on your pocketbook with budget friendly daily specials. The wait staff and ownership, who hang out at the bar, are very friendly and outgoing. Relative to decor, Inside is your basic combo bar/restaurant scene, a little on the dark side (lighting) with a long bar along one wall and tables in the middle and far side of the building. the highlight for me though is the outdoor patio area along the East twin River banks that offer relaxing views of the river and wonderful evening sunsets. Not a bad way to enjoy a drink and meal on a nice summer nite. Unfortunately there are some negatives with this establishment that center on their Covid 19 safety protocols. The staff and majority of the customers do not wear masks or use gloves and wiping of surfaces with sanitizer following a meal was not observed either. I was able to get around my concerns by eating on their outdoor patio which gets plenty of ultra violet light and would return to this establishment again during nice weather during the virus pandemic as this gave me the security I was looking for. However this is a concern to be noted for those people who are religiously following safe protocols and could be a deal breaker for them. Overall I would rate this business four stars but have knocked 1 star off based on lax Covid safety protocols.

Pretty average food but great atmosphere. Lots of seating inside and outside. The bartender even brought our dog dog a treat!

Checked Yelp and read up a bit on Grizzly's; sounded interesting place…read more I was a bit confused with 2 Grizzly's but that was cleared up once we arrived. This is our type of bar/grill. We sat at the bar and quickly waited on by Darrel who is bartender and owner. There was a specials list for the weekend, New York strip; ribs and prime rib. The prices are a little high but what we seen the servings almost justified the price. We weren't quite as hungry to justify a steak or rib; thus we went with a side salad and chicken steak/w side salad. The salad was decent size and the chicken was covering over 1/2 the plate. My wife had just a salad. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The sauce is a secret sauce of the bar! Drinks were good and priced well. While we were there I seen an order of ribs by a patron; they did look really good and by what I could tell he liked them but he couldn't eat them all. A patron sitting next to us ordered the prime rib; its smoked prime rib and flash finished over the grill that doesn't affect the finished doneness. It was huge at about 1" thick and done perfectly inside to the patrons delight. It's $40 but probably won't finish it all. Definitely when in the area will stop back.

A last minute trip to Manitowoc around dinner time had me needing to pick up something before…read moreheading back home. The Fat Seagull ended up being my choice because of interesting sounding items on the menu. The to go order consisted of a perch sandwich, a double cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks, and taco egg rolls. The mozzarella sticks are the same kind you can get from Arby's or the hot deli area of Walmart. Yes they are mozzarella sticks and can maybe satisfy a craving if needed, but they're not as good as Italian breaded for wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks. I'm not usually a big fan of charbroiled burgers and I could tell the meat was out of a frozen box of patties, but it was a solid tasting burger. It didn't come with a side, which for the price I assumed was the case ($7.50 as of 2/3/2025). That might be the most I would pay for it, but would consider getting it again. Like the burger, the perch sandwich did not come with a side, so $10 for a single butterfly of perch on a roll was close to my wallet's limit, but that was a tasty piece of fish. I don't find myself in Manitowoc often, but if I did I'd be intrigued by their double perch plate on Fridays given the quality of the the perch in this sandwich. The star of the meal was the taco egg rolls. The size of a typical veggie spring roll and in the same crispy wrapper, these egg rolls come in an order of three or six and I wish I had ordered six instead of three. The taco meat had an amazing kick to it and there was enough cheese inside to be noticeable yet not take away from the meat. I didn't end up using the sour cream or nacho cheese they provided because I wanted to savor the flavor of the egg roll itself, but I appreciate having both options to dip them in.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.
