Customer service was good, restaurant was cozy, and food was out of this world. I came today and saw they were in a new location. Initially felt "cool" but immediately was greeted with a cold demeanor. Half of our table are Filipino born and raised, while my sister and I are born in the US. I asked for bottled water and they had one bottle left. My dad (born in the Philippines), watched the lady who initially sat us down who mocked me for asking for bottled water. I had my back to the restaurant the entire time, so I didn't see a lot of the interaction, but my dad saw and understood it all. We ordered the sisig - undercooked. The pancit hab hab - underwhelming. They had no soda, and we all (9) had to share 1 big bottle of water. Ok, fine, no troubles. Then, they ran out of plenty of entrees, so we were limited on what to order. My sister watched the staff spray the table while there were still items on it, while my dad watched and listened as the staff were gossiping about all the patrons (including us) in the restaurant. It was quite uncomfortable. Sorry not sorry, but this place is no longer it and the entire staff needs an entire overhaul of retraining if you want to salvage this place.

The vibe is brighter, more modern, with an open bar and a lively energy that works perfectly for a Friday night. Service was excellent. Gab, the head waiter/manager, was outstanding, attentive, engaging, and genuinely warm. He checked in often without being intrusive, and the rest of the team matched his level of service. Food was just as impressive. We started with the Bourke Salad, fresh, crisp, and flavorful plus foie gras served with caramelized onions and pickles. The combination was rich, balanced, and absolutely delicious. The Creekside Steak was the star, perfectly cooked to medium, served in a cast-iron skillet with gravy, lettuce, a potato, and a side of mustard that gave the steak a perfect punch. Dessert was their famous sticky toffee pudding, and yes, it's worth the hype, rich, indulgent, and unforgettable. Overall, Bondi & Bourke delivered exactly what I wanted: great food, fantastic service, and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and relaxed. I'll be back, and sooner this time.

Generous plate with hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh and one other thing (not sure what it's called) served with a few pieces of sliced generously oiled Foccacia - this one is just absolutely delicious and great for sharing. The second menu we love is the Classic Australian Parma. This is a huge plate, good for two to three persons. Served with the side of salad. Worth noting is the very delicious salad dressing. It's a bit pricey at around 900 but it can fill up at least 3 people. Another one on the menu, though I don't think this is available anymore is their sausage penne. I think it was removed but we requested for it to be made and the chef obliged and i think that's nice. Great aesthetics. Minimalist design. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. We always do outdoors, even on a hot summer night. Servers are attentive, maybe because I've never seen the restaurant full. Serving is quick too!

They've got loads of selections here (all veg!), as well as a shelf filled with interesting local and imported food products. Apart from the not-so-fast service, I'd recommend this place any day to anyone. I'd say get their quekiam (one of their specialties)--this erm..thing (I don't know, gluten or soy based mock meat?) is stuffed with savory veggies and mushrooms and comes with a spicy red sauce on the side. It's definitely not like the street kikiam which is made of god knows what! Super tasty appetizer... I was excited to try their veg sisig as it was one of their specialties, but I was a bit disappointed as the serving was quite small (at Php 170...) and while it was seasoned well and had a variety of mushrooms and minced tofu/soy/gluten (unsure...), I guess it lacked that creamy sauce that I loved when I used to eat the real pork sisig. It could use some veg mayo or some sauce to elevate it to a really satisfying sisig recreation. However, I should mention that it did come with crumbled chicharon (made of tofu skins) on top! They carry Superfood Grocer's amazing vegan ice cream here by the way! And you get a complimentary cup of pandan tea!

We wanted salad originally but he found something better: Veggiezen! Hard to miss if you are not looking for it specifically and even harder to consider with all the other "tastier" options in the Jose Abad area but I am glad we didn't miss it!! Their menu seems Chinese-inspired and I think this is the best part about it. Oriental favorites, vegetarian-ized, with a sprinkling of Filipino favorites too. The tofu chicharon tastes exactly like chicharon, the mushroom sisig tastes exactly like sisig, the mushroom teriyaki tastes exactly like Chinese teriyaki! What more the other things on the menu?! Can't wait to try!! Hay, If I could cook dishes likes these every single day, then I could definitely be vegetarian for life! For now, I'm just happy to have restored my body's zen - even just for a moment.

Living as a vegan for a solid two years of my life has made me appreciate places that serve stuff…read morelike salads and fruit juices very, very much. Especially places like Juju Eats which not only serves salads and fruit juices, but DELICIOUS salads and fruit juices. In my experience, I've learned that "delicious" and "healthy" don't always go hand in hand. Thankfully, Juju Eats is here to prove that sometimes, it does. The whole vibe of Juju Eats is sort of like a giant salad bar. The food comes in stainless steel bowls, and you can choose whether you want your salad as a half order or a full order. If you're like me and can't get enough of all the veggies, I'd say definitely go for the full order (even if it's a little pricey, in my opinion) but the half-order is pretty filling too. The salads are definitely not of the "tasteless green stuff" variety, and you can choose from a menu or make a salad up yourself. They have everything from nacho salads to pasta salads to some special ones like the Roast Pumpkin which has bits of fruit and nut in them. You can even choose to have your salad wrapped in pita, if you want to eat your salad on-the-go. They also have a bunch of specially-made juices, if you wanna up the "healthy food" factor with a delicious fruity drink. Juju Eats is definitely the place to go if you're a health nut looking for a fix, or a veggie hater waiting to be converted.

One of the first restaurants I tried entering 2016. I told myself I'll take eating clean more…read moreseriously, and with their salads, wraps and salad pastas, Juju Eats seemed like the perfect option. I visited their Paseo de Roxas branch for dinner on a Tuesday night, and there were only a few tables occupied, perhaps because most have their Juju meals delivered our for take-away? Anyway, no queues and waiting for a vacant table, the place was well-lit and the interiors were so modern and vibrant without being intimidating, so this was a very pleasant experience for me. The freedom to customize your food at Juju Eats is just plesantly overwhelming. Their salads can be ordered Regular- or Half-size, or as wraps. Or if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can practically make your own salad from among their MANY fresh ingredients you'll see at the counter. Since it's my first time, I went with my friend's recommendation, the Big Boy Wrap--romaine, grilled chicken, bacon, hard boiled egg, sun dried tomato, grated cheddar, red kidney beans, and french dressing in a wrap of regular dough (the alternative option is whole wheat dough). It was one of the more appealing choices for me because there was meat in it, unlike the other choices that contained mostly veggies, fruit, or cheese. And the flavor didn't disappoint at all. The ingredients were obviously fresh and went well together in one bite, just like a good, hearty salad, minus the overpowering dressing. They put their EVOO and vinaigrette as free-flowing condiments you can have on the side, so I tried them and they made each bite even better. My friend even put sriracha on his salad pasta. If there's anything I'm not jumping up and down about Juju Eats is the price. But then again, it's hard to find restaurants with really affordable guiltless offerings these days, especially in the Philippines. Also, don't expect to be filled especially if you have a usually big appetite (As a result, we walked to the nearby Jamba Juice stall at Eco Plaza, LOL.) Overall, I was happy with my first Juju Eats experience. In fact, I cannot wait to try every other thing in their menu, especially their salad pastas. I just don't think it's financially sustainable for me to buy from them everyday.

How can you have Beef and Broccoli without beef? Is there even a type of Barbecue that's not made out of meat? Well, Bodhi uses tofu as a meat substitute. Their food tastes so good, you can't even tell that everything is made out of tofu. It's way healthier and cheaper. I usually have issues concerning my weight.
