When I used to live in Makati, I would walk to Live Life Vegetarian when I'm craving for a well-prepared veggie meal after working at home all day. This quaint cafe in front of La Fuerza compound may be simple, but their food's among the more decent vegetarian and vegan places here in Makati. Also, it's worth noting that in their cafe is this artwork that's totally unrelated to vegetables-- a mesmerizing Photoshopped collage of famous personalities, cropped heads repeated in a dizzying pattern. You can't miss it because you'll end up staring at while waiting for your food! Or you can play I-Spy with it.
Anyway, back to the food. They have a good, flavorful Vegetable Paella (ask to remove hard-boiled egg topping if you're vegan). It serves 2 so it's ideal date food. Another good thing about this place is that they use cashew cheese for all dishes that require cheese! So do get the Mushroom and Cheese Wontons for appetizers. The Tofu Patties are a good, hearty choice if you want something filling. I personally have not tried the Mushroom Quinoa but I have heard it's one of their bestsellers.
Don't forget to get a Halo-Halo with Almond Milk and Chia Seeds for dessert! It's the fanciest halo-halo you will ever have, and the healthiest, too! read more
