After a happy but crowded and tiring Pyromusical fireworks evening, we were hungry. Many of the restaurants we went to were crowded, as most of the Pyromusical audience must have had the same idea.
We ended up walking around MOA before we saw Gotti's Ristorante - it was Italian, so they surely have vegetarian-friendly, or at least pesca-vegetarian friendly, options.
I was right. We ordered the puttanesca, and we were happy with it. Not many puttanescas satisfy our taste. We like this one as there is the distinct and savory taste of the anchovies, the capers, and the olives, the sourness of the tomatoes, as well as a spicy flavor, perhaps from chili.
We also love the deep-fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce - such a sinful but delicious treat. We ordered this as a side to the pasta. We had originally wanted the margherita pizza, but between only two of us, the pizza and pasta might be too much.
Gotti's is quite affordable, at a similar price level to Amici's, one of my favorite Italian restaurants. read more
