Living as a vegan for a solid two years of my life has made me appreciate places that serve stuff like salads and fruit juices very, very much. Especially places like Juju Eats which not only serves salads and fruit juices, but DELICIOUS salads and fruit juices. In my experience, I've learned that "delicious" and "healthy" don't always go hand in hand. Thankfully, Juju Eats is here to prove that sometimes, it does. The whole vibe of Juju Eats is sort of like a giant salad bar. The food comes in stainless steel bowls, and you can choose whether you want your salad as a half order or a full order. If you're like me and can't get enough of all the veggies, I'd say definitely go for the full order (even if it's a little pricey, in my opinion) but the half-order is pretty filling too. The salads are definitely not of the "tasteless green stuff" variety, and you can choose from a menu or make a salad up yourself. They have everything from nacho salads to pasta salads to some special ones like the Roast Pumpkin which has bits of fruit and nut in them. You can even choose to have your salad wrapped in pita, if you want to eat your salad on-the-go. They also have a bunch of specially-made juices, if you wanna up the "healthy food" factor with a delicious fruity drink. One of the first restaurants I tried entering 2016. I told myself I'll take eating clean more seriously, and with their salads, wraps and salad pastas, Juju Eats seemed like the perfect option. I visited their Paseo de Roxas branch for dinner on a Tuesday night, and there were only a few tables occupied, perhaps because most have their Juju meals delivered our for take-away? Anyway, no queues and waiting for a vacant table, the place was well-lit and the interiors were so modern and vibrant without being intimidating, so this was a very pleasant experience for me. The freedom to customize your food at Juju Eats is just plesantly overwhelming. Their salads can be ordered Regular- or Half-size, or as wraps. Or if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, you can practically make your own salad from among their MANY fresh ingredients you'll see at the counter. Since it's my first time, I went with my friend's recommendation, the Big Boy Wrap--romaine, grilled chicken, bacon, hard boiled egg, sun dried tomato, grated cheddar, red kidney beans, and french dressing in a wrap of regular dough (the alternative option is whole wheat dough). It was one of the more appealing choices for me because there was meat in it, unlike the other choices that contained mostly veggies, fruit, or cheese. And the flavor didn't disappoint at all. The ingredients were obviously fresh and went well together in one bite, just like a good, hearty salad, minus the overpowering dressing. They put their EVOO and vinaigrette as free-flowing condiments you can have on the side, so I tried them and they made each bite even better. My friend even put sriracha on his salad pasta. If there's anything I'm not jumping up and down about Juju Eats is the price. But then again, it's hard to find restaurants with really affordable guiltless offerings these days, especially in the Philippines. Also, don't expect to be filled especially if you have a usually big appetite (As a result, we walked to the nearby Jamba Juice stall at Eco Plaza, LOL.) Overall, I was happy with my first Juju Eats experience. In fact, I cannot wait to try every other thing in their menu, especially their salad pastas. I wouldn't say I'm a health nut but sometimes, we all just need a breather from "bad" food. I've known Juju for quite some time now as a juice delivery service for all your detox juicing needs, which is why I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had opened a restaurant. Not your typical healthy food, the salads actually have a lot of flavor to them. My favorite is the Roast Pumpkin that comes with figs and a little (really little) bit of bacon. (Even if I don't eat a lot of pork, who doesn't love bacon?). Another one that I like going back to is the Ay! Caramba salad, which is essentially a plate of nachos, complete with nacho chips and cheddar cheese, but made healthier. Definitely satisfies those snacking cravings and has a spicy kick at the end too! The salads come served in stainless silver bowls that don't necessarily feel luxe but add character to the overall ambiance of the place. But my favorite thing about Juju Eats is their portion size. You can choose from a half or a full order but believe me when I say that their half order is good enough for one meal. And they have the option to take the salad in wrap form--for those who need more carbs in their lives. If I could pick one restaurant to eat in for the rest of my life, it would be Juju Eats. This place is an awesome fusion of extremely healthy and extremely delicious. The interiors are cozy, the service staff are friendly, the pressed juices make me feel incredibly refreshed and charged with the right nutrients, and the salads are fresh and bursting with all kinds of good flavors. Their star ingredients for me are their falafels, crispy catfish, and sun dried tomatoes (the best I've tasted on salads ever!) You could construct your own salad (yes, Juju eats serves 100% customizeable salads) with those 3 and it would taste awesome. Among their a la carte menu, my recommendations are the pumpkin salad with bacon and feta cheese, and their thai beef salad. I tend to hoard their juices since they all give me such a natural boost and taste great. Their green bomb seems to kick up my metabolism while also tasting that perfect kind of grassy-sweet, and their cucumber quench gives my skin a little pick up pinch. Sometimes I achieve these results with just one bottle. Their juices are great thirst quenchers and wellness boosters. (Their cold pressed coffee tastes AMAZING, too, and use uber healthy ingredients, so you don't have to worry about putting trash in your body just for a caffeine fix!) read more

I'm not really a fan of salad or all things healthy, but I have to say this place cooks up some really good ones. I come here for their Nam Pla dressing that they usually serve with their ready made Catfish Salad. What I love about this place is how you're able to customize your salad to your liking. I usually patent mine with something in their existing menu but just add or remove a few ingredients. Their servings are the perfect size for me and because it's salad, it's very quick service. They also have a juicing station that you could order on the spot or have them give you a sort of cleansing program. They have a number of healthy desserts, too that taste really yummy! Their chia seed pudding with mango is my favorite. I always feel so clean after eating here even if you really think about it, it's not THAT healthy. But hey, its the thought that counts! read more

Given the wellness trend of today, there are many establishments that put a premium price on salads, but not Juju Eats, which seems to be really intent on turning people onto healthy but still glorious food. Thanks to their practical and nutritious menu, I can keep my stomach and wallet happy in between workouts at the nearby yoga studio. My favorite is their Crispy Catfish mix. I really enjoy its bright flavors that counterpoint the taste of the catfish - a simple yet genius combination. I also recommend the Big Boy wrap. For their drinks, Red Giant wins it because the earthy taste of beets is enough to turn everyone on to juicing. I found the Chocolate Nutmilk to be a surprise, too. It was creamy and with just enough chocolate taste. Careful of the calories, though. This place is great. There aren't many places in Manila where you can get a decent salad, but you can at Juju. My girlfriend works near this place so I go there quite often. I always order the Chicken Caesar wrap. It's delicious, filling, and will only set you back 180 bucks. I've tried a few other things on the menu, but always go back to the Chicken Caesar cos I find that's it's the most consistent. I used to really like their roasted squash wrap but they stopped carrying it. I've also tried some of their juices. They're pretty good but way overpriced. 160 for a ginger and lemon drink? The cold brew coffee is good, though. I do wish they'd start selling sandwiches too. And not the pre-made kind they keep in the fridge. For something that's considered to be healthy, it surprises me that I actually crave for Juju Eats. From their salads, to their pastas, to their wraps, to their cold pressed juices, everything is just so good. My favorite is the Ay Caramba in the form of a wrap - I'm not kidding when I say I crave for this sometimes. It's their signature house mix with grilled chicken, nacho chips, pickled jalapenos, kidney beans, cheddar, corn, salsa, and course, the Ay Caramba! dressing. If you can take the spicy kick, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The Crispy Catfish is great as well; the crispy catfish surprisingly complements the green mango, cilantro, green papaya and the cashew nuts quite well. Their wraps are really huge - I often bring the other half home, so I would say you really get your money's worth. You can also customize or DIY your salads, wraps, or pastas with any of their toppings. I love Juju Eats. Delicious!!!! I was so happy to find this place near my hotel. After eating mostly heavy foods this past week I was really craving healthy, fresh, and vegetable based meals. I ordered the falafel pita wrap and catfish salad. The falafel pita was perfect and hit the spot. The catfish salad was amazing because it had a lot of pickled veggies and the crispies were a great balance to the textures. The dressing reminds me of a delicious Vietnamese salad dressing I've had at one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants and I think this salad is really a winner. Don't overload the salad with too much dressing or else you'll ruin it. I want to try every item on the menu. Lastly, I ordered the green smoothie for extra healthiness (haha) and it was just what my body was craving for!!! I'm definitely coming back! read more

Juju Eats can be considered the fast food of healthy eats. This place is known to serve salads, wraps, and cold pressed juices. For a time, everyone was raving about Juju Eats until such time people got a bit sick of the salad / wrap scene. You have two options - either you choose from the existing salad menu or you create your own salad. Since the place knows that a lot of people are always on the go, they also made an option of on the go salad. I got to try two salad wraps from this place - the Crispy Catfish salad and the Thai Beef salad, both come from the same cuisine. The wraps both tasted good but I noticed that they're not every generous with the meat placed per wrap. I could almost not taste the catfish nor the beef. I tasted the dressing more. I hope they improve on this. I have yet to give the Cold Pressed Juices a try as their creations seem to be interesting - you'll see flavors like Atomic Carrot, Greenbomb, Red Giant and Spicy Limonada. read more
