When you first meet Kurt, you will notice his kind demeanor and his willingness to help you out. I…read morethought of Kurt as a great mechanic with integrity. We purchased a 2015 Audi Q5 with only 57,000 miles from Kurt. He most recently replaced the Driveshaft and assured us that the vehicle was mechanically sound. On the first drive, the car left us stranded on the side of the road, indicating a transmission malfunction fault. I called Kurt, but he was not interested in helping, he also mentioned that he does not warranty his work. So I took the vehicle to a reputable shop that lifted the vehicle to check it out. To my surprise, the Driveshaft was damaged due to improper installation, and, it was found to be a low quality Chinese driveshaft that cost 1/10th the price of the original. Just about any mechanic that you will meet will warranty their work, and own their mistakes (which is ok, we are only human) but not Kurt. Instead, I am left with a hefty bill and a vehicle that my mother is afraid to even drive now. This review is so that you, as a potential customer, are aware of the person that you are looking forward to doing business with. I would highly recommend using mechanics that will warranty their work, because mistakes do happen.

Most important and noteworthy these boys just jumped at the chance 2X (because I had neglected to bring my wheel lock key that Honda City his in my ownership folder ... yeah, that's where it belongs). They had the car jacked up minutes after I pulled in both times and fixed the hole in a few more minutes. This place is great. Wow. After almost 2 hours of touching up my original alignment, they handed me the keys and told me it was a little more difficult than expected, but did not ask me for additional money (i did tip the mechanic tho) car drives amazing and the alignment is nothing short of perfect. That happened to me. Again, I was in the same neighborhood and same thing happened with my car but different part this time. I called Tikal on a Sunday thinking that it was open but it wasn't. The owner answered the phone call & said auto repair shops in Inwood are all closed on Suns cuz of auto parts shops are also close. So no parts coming in means no parts getting repair. I was devastated since I wasn't from the neighborhood. I was from Queens. Very far from where I am. The owner was super accommodating in coming to the shop on a Sun when its close just to get my car into the shop. He told me he'll take care of the parts & let me know what's wrong with it & the pricing. Monday came around, true to his words, he'd let me know over the phone that it was the same as my suspicion predicted, it was my brake pads that flew off. Told me the pricing and had it fixed after I agreed to it. Got it done within the same day & I was able to pick it up around noon after being notified like about 3.5 hrs before. I was super happy with the work & the results. The service was superb and the shop owner & his son was extremely helpful and not hostile like some of the shops that I'd went to. A helpful tip ....
