Terrible quality and service too match. I purchased these refurbished wheels last April and installed in May. I have winter wheels and tires so these were purchased for summer use only. I removed these Wheels Americas wheels at the end of summer. I washed them before putting them away and noticed water under the clear coat in many areas. The clearcoat was flaking in big sections (ask me and I'll send photos as I cannot upload them in this review). Clearly there was an adhesion issue as there was zero corrosion or damage to the wheels finish. I contacted the seller who agreed to have a look and refinish if considered warranty. They let me know when the wheels were finished and stated the issue was due to road salt exposure. I replied back that it's impossible as these wheels were summer use only and were only 6 months old. I received them back with damage to the finish (when it was uncured) as well as white specs all over the clearcoat (I'm glad to send photos). You can see the the finish bumped up something when it was still wet (down to the aluminum). I've sent multiple messages and even called them. They are completely ignoring me. I have experience with paint and finish work. Something wasn't prepped correctly and therefore there was an adhesion issue with the clearcoat. The lack of care and quality on the second refinish is a reflection of their work ethic and concern for the customer. "Just get it done and shipped" The lack of response after seeing the evidence that I presented should strongly suggest to you to purchase from another vendor. Something happened to Wheels America. They were a great company to do business with, back in the day. I used to be a service manager for a Honda dealership and used them more than once over the years from about 2005 to about 2013. I tried to order wheels from them today and got the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with- bar none. Stay away, they have lost their direction- I put the blame for this squarely on the shoulders of their chief executive. read more

Be careful with these guys. The wheels do look good. May I say unfortunately I purchased a set of wheels through eBay from them and I've gotten nothing but the runaround. I returned the wheels as per se same condition I received. I have yet to receive my money back. I followed instructions on the return as followed. Seller has yet to get back to me on trying to get my refund. I explained to them that the option is no longer available for that return of $913 and some change. Seller says that's the only way you'll be able to get your money even though they receive their rims back in the same condition. Brand new looking same box and never was mounted . And to top that off I made a claim to my bank letting them know about this return. These guys tell the bank they received something totally different. Seller shipped me a package which were the rims at 29 lb and then ship me a return label that said 31 lb go figure wouldn't do business with these guys frauds. I drive a ZL1 Camaro and, thanks a bunch of less than stellar decisions one night, I curb checked it pretty bad getting back to my house and damage both rims on the passenger side. A local friend of mine recommended Wheels America so I showed up and dropped them both off with Leslie at the counter. She's very thorough in the explanation of how they do the repairs and answered all the questions I had. The repair was very reasonable and, despite the rims being a pretty difficult smoke gray color to match, they got it perfectly. The rims were beautiful and honestly looked better than they did before I screwed them up. Solid 5 stars earned here and if I ever get into any more shenanigans and need more wheel repair, I'm coming straight here. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their lifetime warranty is a scam. Got a $650 rim from them, within two weeks was having major problems. Take the car in, rim is severely cracked already. They're telling me there's nothing they can do cause they didn't send it out this way (even though they boast a lifetime warranty). The warranty doesn't cover anything. Rim was clearly not refurbished correctly. Horrendous customer service from the first call, every person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. Spend the money anywhere else. read more

Don't Use This Company! I purchased two wheels from them on ebay. Instructions in their shipment say if you are unhappy with the wheels you can return them. I was unhappy after the paint flaked off during tire mounting and also saw the wheel wasn't true/flat on the outer face, most likely where it was repaired (i was getting vibration) I returned the wheels using the core shipping labels in the original box and then waited for my credit back. $400ish. Never heard back from them...crickets. so I reached out and they said I had to do a return through ebay which you can't due to their settings in ebay. Total lie... I gave them the tracking number showing they have the returned wheels and still nothing. They basically stole my money at this point. I reach out they they blow me off. Very shady business practices from what I have seen. "Return the wheels if your not happy" it says in their paperwork. I guess they left out the part if you will ever see your money back. Makes me want to stay away from eBay sellers....Either extremely poor customer service or just an unethical and not trust worthy business. read more

I had recently purchased a used Audi A5 and the previous owner had put some road rash on the factory rims. I started shopping around for the best option either aftermarket or redo the stock rims. I went to a big local wheel store and they quoted me a VERY high price to redo the stock rims than it would have been to buy new aftermarket ones. Both options seemed too high for what appeared to be a straight forward job. I kept shopping around and I found Wheels America online and decided to go by there in person. A lady named Leslie helped me out right off the bat. She was professional, personable and informative about what my options would be if I decided to give them the work. After Leslie laid out the options for redoing the stock rims versus buying other rims she quoted me a price that was significantly lower than the other store for the same kind of work and with a 24hour turnaround time as well as a lifetime guarantee on their work. To top it off, the work included several different color options from the stock color, which is exactly what I was looking for! This translated to the best of all options, upgraded stock rims that looked factory with an upgraded after market color which is what I was wanting to do without paying an unreasonable amount of money. I was told the work would be done overnight by the night crew. After leaving the car with them overnight - my immediate overall impression when I picked up the car: Great quality work! Very reasonable price for the amount of work, fast turnaround time with a lifetime warranty all by helpful people. I was AMAZED at the difference I will definitely be back if I ever want to upgrade, sell or just change out the wheels on any of my family's vehicles. 2016 TESLA MODEL S P90D - WHEEL REPAIR I have had two sets of wheels refinished by Wheels America, and they have done a stellar job both times. Most recently, they took a set of Tesla 21 inch wheels that were covered in curb rash, paint peel, and scratches, repaired them, color matched them with the car, and made them look brand new. I wanted to powder coat my rims. So I called and the guy said it will be 153 per wheel if they have to take off the wheel. So I get there today during rush hour traffic...and the price is now 167. The girl that works there was like oh it's def not 153. I didn't get the impression of a professionally run place so I left since if they can't even get their pricing right...what's going to happen if I have an issue with the end product? My new (to me) Infiniti came with a serious case of curb rash on one wheel. I brought the vehicle to Wheels America for a "facelift," and am very pleased with the results ... as good as new. The reconditioning process takes 24 hours, so they kept the wheel, mounted my spare, and reversed the process when I picked it up. While the quality of the work is outstanding, perhaps just as important is the way they do business. These are down-to-earth folks who are genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. You feel comfortable the moment you walk in the place. Their prices, while not the cheapest in town, are quite reasonable for what you get, and the work is guaranteed for life (unless the new damage is caused by the driver). Given the cost of new wheels (they have those, too, if you need them) this is definitely the way to go, and Wheels America does an excellent job. I highly recommend them. read more

Drove down from Austin to pick up a wheel they had for my BMW and I was just going to trade out the current one that was bent and buy a new one. When I got here they asked if I could wait a little while and grab lunch and they would do it same day. I came back like 3 hours later and the thing was perfect. These guys do solid work. I have used them before for 2 mangled custom rims that were warped and chewed up and had been told multiple other places they couldn't be fixed but these guys in less than 24 hours gave me my rims back looking BRAND NEW. Excellent service! I brought my car in to have a couple of wheels refinished and another one repaired. I was told that the one wheel was cracked in too many places to be safely repaired. They could have easily made an easy buck by repairing it and sending me on my way. I ordered a replacement OEM wheel from my local dealership and had Wheels America mount and balance. They even repainted the wheel sent to me by the dealer since they sent me the wrong color. Now, all of the refinished wheels look great. These guys really deserve kudos for their superior customer service. I had used them a couple of years back and had all 4 alloy wheels of vehicle restored to new condition. They were on time (overnight), the workmanship was excellent, and the price was as promised. Fast forward to this week, when I took a brand new (1 week old) vehicle to them that my wife had managed to whack a curb with in her first 1.5 miles. I delivered this vehicle to them mid-afternoon, expecting the requisite approval from the dealer/insurance carrier before the afternoon was over. The insurer danced and evaded to find excuses not to pay the claim. Shortly thereafter a representative from Wheels America called after their expert technician had been able to look at the wheel. They indicated because it was a specialty factory finish, that they could not perfectly duplicate it and for a perfect match all 4 wheels would have to be done to match correctly. With the pushback from the insurer, and the news that maybe all 4 would have to be done, I told them to hold off. They were very understanding and gracious, and put my car inside overnight. I would return to them for work in a heartbeat if the need arises again, and would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

If you're getting vibration as you drive it could be a bent rim, when you get your wheel balanced they'll be able to tell if the rim is bent. If you hit a big pot hole at speed and you have an aluminum wheel chances are its bent! Thanks to the atrocious Houston roads I had 3 bent BBS rims (worth about 800 bucks a piece). In my case it worked out a lot cheaper to get them fixed instead of buying new ones. At time of writing it cost $129 per rim, plus about $20 (per wheel) if you need them to take off the tire, remount and balance. As well as straightening they fixing any scratches / "rim rash" and repaint. I was surprise at how good the paint job was, especially as i have bling gold rims! I ended up leaving my car with them as it seemed much easier that removing the wheels myself, i dropped it off after work, then picked it up the next day after work. I took my sons F-150 over to Wheels America in hopes of having them remove the terrible road rash they had incurred. After speaking with the guys at Wheels America I decided to have them repair the wheels (all 4) and have them powder coated a darker gray color instead of the standard silver. The following morning they called me and sent me pictures of the wheels so I wouldn't have to drive so far to their shop in case I didn't like the color. They even offered to re-paint them if I didn't like the way they turned out, now that's service. Well the color came our perfect and the truck now looks like new. I purchased a wheel for my 2014 Hyundai Azera Limited (19" wheel). The price was good, but the finish on the wheel had several imperfections. It appeared that they painted over the original finish instead of stripping the old finish first. My original review was a bit too harsh. A dealer made a big deal out of stating the paint was wrong. I don't think it was, but the finish could have been applied better. Not bad, guys, but work on your QC. read more
