HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! First time visit on 4-5-25…read more Spent about 30-45 minutes walking around looking at trees and shrubs. It wasn't too busy, maybe 20 customers all perusing the lot. Not once did an employee offer to help. One employee was not busy and actually walked in a circle around me then went over to help someone else thirty feet away. I then saw the same employee helping another person that just came in well after we did. Not a single employee greeted us. We were looking for specific items and had questions but were ignored. Although the inventory is quite good, we wound up going to another nursery in town and spent a few hundred dollars on shrubs and got amazing customer service. Looks like we won't be going back to Shooting Star Nursery ever again. First impressions are always lasting ones.

My favorite purchases were replacement parts for my many year old Felco hand pruners. I replaced the parts I needed when I got home and old pair of pruning sheers are "cutting like butter". The ordering process is where you truly prove your dedication to the Bamboo Gods, requiring that you precisely follow the clear instructions provided for the opportunity to purchase (step 1: check the plants you want are in stock and are compatible with your growing region, step 2: fill out the order request form, step 3: do your own math regarding quantities, shipping etc. step 4: submit your request, step 5: get confirmation that your order can be fulfilled, step 6: submit your payment)... yeah, pretty far from 1 click to buy but honestly I can 100% guarantee that you cannot get these amazing plants anywhere else! Gib the owner is amazing. His responses are immediate and helpful, and the care he takes picking great healthy specimens and packing them for their journey is clearly evident.
