I brought my Toyota Corolla in to the Los Gatos Wheelworks today. It has about 87,000 miles on it. The tire pressure sensor went out and it was indicating that the tire pressure was off. The workers at Wheelworks replaced my tire sensor and did an alignment. For lifetime alignment it was about $200 (the life of my car) and then I also got the tire sensor replaced which was about $180. They also did an inspection which was about $45. I will bring my Toyota back to this location again when I need my tires rotated or aligned or when I need to buy new tires. They worked quickly and I was able to meet my boyfriend for lunch at the nearby Tsing Tao restaurant. I'm not sure how much longer Tsing Tao will be there though if they start construction there. read more

This is my go-to Wheel Works when I need new tires, a tire fix, or even just some air! My family has been coming to this location long before I could drive, so it was a no-brainer to come here when I had a car of my own. They're usually pretty easy to schedule with, and can always give me a quick fill up or pressure release when needed. Services also tend to be quicker than they say, which is great. My most recent visit was to get a nail out of my tire, there was an mistake with scheduling, but Monica made sure to get me in and get my tire fixed in a very timely manner. It sucks to say this, but this place would actually be the worst mechanic place. I've taken my car to. Which started off to be a coolant leak turned into a big oil leak just because it didn't put a part in right then on top of that they say my car was done one day. It was never done that day then I'd have to come back. Job didn't get done correctly so I had to go to another location cause part was not putting in correctly and now they're taking me on a run around and saying that they cannot fix my car. They cannot provide me with the rental. They cannot do anything. Not sure what to do cause now my car is a check engine light and it's their fault. My wife and I have been satisfied Customers at the Wheel Works shop in Los Gatos for more than 30 years. We've always been treated well at this store, and we continue to give them all of our tire-related business. During our most recent visit, for a set of new tires for my wife's car, we worked with Wheel Works Associate Adolfo Hilburn, and Adolfo was exceptional. He worked out the very best price he could offer us, including a much-appreciated discount, and promised to order our tires for installation a few days later. The next day, Adolfo called to let me know that our new tires had been ordered, and that they would be ready for installation the following day. We brought the car in on Friday morning, and Adolfo promised that our car would be ready that afternoon, right around 1:00. Stay away from this place. Took my new Mustang in for a nail in the tire, which probably could have been patched. Whatever, ended up buying a new one and left to work in a hurry. Now after work, I'm am noticing they scratched 3 of my 4 wheels and lost the center cap on the unscratched one. On my way out they asked me to leave a review, so here it is. I've had all of my tire needs taken care of at the LG Wheelworks location since I bought my car in 2021. I've been very impressed with the service all this time. Monica has been super friendly, helpful and accommodating with scheduling. I love this Wheel Works location! It's very clean, they are upfront about pricing, can find something within your budget as well as handle all kinds of services such as oil change, tire rotation, new tires, engine filter change, fluid change and top off! All reasonable. I have a Lexus IS300 2022 and I got my 30k service completed for $322 vs Lexus service center quote of $988! The service took 3.5 hours and I waited there. The shop manager Monica is fantastic!!! Never met someone like her before. She is also training a new girl there named Kayla, she's equally as awesome. As a woman, it makes me feel welcome to come to a car shop that has only women at the front desk! There are no "stupid" questions there, ask away. I've been going here for years for tires, oil change, etc. All good. Once the previous manager left things changed. Took my tahoe in for a leak in my tire. Told it'd be like an hour and a half. I ended up having nails in both my rear tires and told they'd need to be replaced because my tread was too thin. Also told I needed a new battery. My brake pads and rotors as well. $3k of work. I said I'd have to come back. $3k not in my budget and it was there for 4 hrs already. Kyle- ended up patching my tires. Yay. Lack of communication there. New manager pushing tires and services during their sale etc. I go to 2 different places and there was nothing wrong with my battery. Trust broken. Don't like this high pressure sales bs either. Wow! What a change at this place over the past few years. I have spent over 30k in tires over the past 10 years at this store and have had nothing but great service. If I or a member of my family get a nail in our tire, I would call and they would say to bring it in and they would take care of it within a few minutes. It was easily less than 30 minutes and they would never charge. This morning I called and immediately got an automated attendant. It was not a human until I pressed the correct menu options. When I finally got someone, I let them knowe I had a nail in my tire and needed it removed. I asked first if they had an appointment and was told they don't do appointments for nails. I said, "Oh, then can I bring it in?" They stated that would be the thing to do and to leave it there for up to 4 hours. REALLY???? 4 hours? I tried to play the game and mentioned that I purchase all my tires for my 6 cars there and they have always taken care of this quickly, when one of my kids would just stop by. I was then cut off and told, "Yes 4 hours." Really disappointed. I guess I will start using the GoodYear mobile service, since they just get stuff done quickly. I understand why some companies will have a deflective service model, but not during a sales call. Someone at Wheel Works needs to make some changes because the new model isn't working. read more

I was recommended by my boyfriend to come here versus Costco for my 2 balding front tires that needed replacing. He had such a good experience with them a couple of weeks ago on a SUNDAY- they were friendly, efficient and slightly less than Costco. Monica is amazing- she has been there for quite some time and she knows her stuff. She gets the best price possible and got me in quickly. She had to order tires for my son so he will get his replaced on Saturday. Don't deal with Costco - too busy and too much of a hassle- Wheel Works is amazing!!!! read more

I will never take my car back to wheel works Los Gatos again. The service was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. When my car started making a strange clunk noise every time I turned I made an appointment to come in and have it diagnosed at Wheel Works Los Gatos at the suggestion of Kayla, who used to be my neighbor and is currently employed there. They kept my car for an entire day, and at the end of the day Kayla provided me a work estimate totaling over $1200.00 worth of parts and labor to fix my car. I told her I would make an appointment the following week after I got paid. Two days later I called the shop and spoke to Monica, the shop manager, and asked her to email me a copy of the work estimate since I couldn't find my copy. When Monica looked at the estimate Kayla had prepared she told me it was all wrong because Kayla was "still training" and she re-entered the work "correctly" this time and my new total would be over $1500.00. Needless to say, I was very disappointed that I had been given inaccurate information by Kayla, and even more disappointed that my total financial obligation was now increased. The whole way in which it was handled made me question whether or not I could really put my faith and MONEY into Wheel Works Los Gatos to work on my car at all. I decided to take the 2 estimates I had received over to the Prospect Rd Wheel Works location in Saratoga and have the manager over there, Dave, take a look at it to see if it was accurate and if so schedule the work to be done there instead. Dave was very nice and did his best to help me. I did not ask him to put my car up on the rack to reinspect the parts, I assumed at that point that the work had been properly diagnosed and it was only the numbers in question. Dave looked at both work estimates from Kayla and Monica and shook his head. He told me unfortunately they were both still wrong. Dave proceeded to re-enter the work correctly for the 3rd time and provide me an estimate now totaling $1700.00!!!!! Dave was extremely apologetic for the trouble I had been put through by Kayla and Monica and offered me a discount which brought the total down to $1400.00 and I scheduled an appointment to have the work done at Wheel Works Saratoga. I still felt really uncomfortable though so at the advice of my father I took my car the next day to Good Year in Los Gatos and spoke with Tom. I told him the whole story and gave him all 3 estimates. Tom did not charge me a dime to inspect the car all over again and was able to determine that I did NOT in fact need ANY of the work that had been estimated for me. The clunk I was hearing ended up being a loose "control arm" and once Tom tightened in down, the noise stopped and I only ended up paying $117.00 for 1 hour of labor and my car is fixed. I want to be clear that Dave who manages the prospect location of Wheel Works Saratoga was great and really tried to rectify a situation which Kayla and Monica royally screwed up. I have no doubt if I had asked for my car to be physically inspected at his shop also, he would have discovered the same thing. My best advice is steer clear of Wheel Works Los Gatos unless you want to be ripped off. There is something really shady going on over there. read more

Dropped car at 10am for a 1pm appointment. At 5:50 pm, I get a call, that apparently I ordered 4 of the same tires, and the rear are larger, my mistake. But why wait ALL DAY to tell me? Calling me at 5:50pm when they close at 6 means no chance of picking up my car. They didn't bother to mount the two correct tires... but how could they? Its 6pm, they went home. The next day I ordered the correct two tires, and booked a follow up appointment for the next available, five days later. I picked up my car to get it out of their way. No attempt was made to get me in sooner. Today I was reading all the BAD REVIEWS about DISHONESTY, that are RECENT. So I decide to take my business elsewhere. I went to pickup the tires and the manager gave me TONS OF attitude. What else? She didn't send back the two tires I mistakenly ordered. UPS picks them up for free, so she would have had to refuse the pickup. Why? My guess is she hoped I didn't realize it, and would have kept them. 100% shady! Not to mention POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Avoid this place at all costs!! When I attempted to tell her why I was taking my tires elsewhere, she said: "save your breath," and walked away. Clearly they don't value their customers, or their time. What a terrible "manager". I called corporate, file number: 269-4603 to complain and let them know that even though they are my closest tire shop, and I've been there before... NEVER AGAIN WILL I PATRONIZE WHEEL WORKS, PERIOD! I had purchased a lifetime alignment package for my vehicle a few years ago and it was due for a new alignment. I proceeded to schedule an appointment and arrived on time. The customer service was unsatisfactory, with the gentleman at the counter not being cordial and hard to communicate with, both at the counter and over the phone. My vehicle was not ready at the conveyed time (why schedule appointments at all if it takes so long to get the work done?) and I only left the place at 6:15pm after waiting for 45 minutes. I witnessed other customers that were also unhappy with the service. I recommend looking elsewhere for a more cordial and timely experience. read more

this is the worst place - my experience with Saratoga location was so positive. lady here -calls herself the manager - is so rude for no reason. i had the worst experience when another customer person asked me to drop off the car without waiting for the next day appointment- but when we showed up the manager lady wad rude, berated us for bringing in the car without appointment and won't tell us whether they could fix the flat tire even after a mechanic, Raoul, very friendly, inspected and said the tire is reparable , she kept on insisting the tire may not be reparable. asked to leave the car so they can fix the flat next day but, following day, refused to say whether they will fix it any time. Why make an appointment just to find out at closing my tire was not repaired and they wanted me to buy a new tire when all was needed was a plug! Very rude and unprofessional.
