My experience with wheel techniques was very disappointing. I called ahead for an 8:30 appointment. I needed same day service to refinish my wheels. I arrived on time to find the office door closed. Many workers walked by without asking if I needed help. One person asked if I needed help, but never came back. I waited 30 minutes before deciding to leave. The Positives: Family owned business, well-greeted whenever I was there. Excellent Excellent Excellent polishing and powder-coating on a set of three piece rims. Room For Improvement: Three-piece rims have smaller bolts that hold the rim together. One of those was sheared off when I dropped the car off. When I took the set in, I was told it could be repaired. When I went to pick up, it wasn't, and an additional bolt had been sheared. To be fair, this could have been an old, undiagnosed issue. The problem now is that two rims, with two broken bolts, leak air. (First world, 20" three piece rim, problems!) So now I have to take them to a machine shop for more work. My initial expectation, which I don't think is inappropriately critical: If you can't fix the bolt, tell me up front. And since that causes the leak, I expect you to be able to tell me that. read more

Brought in a wheel to be straightened in September 2021. Seemed a bit strange that I didn't receive any calls from them for months after, but figured with the pandemic slowing everything down they had orders backed up. Now March 2022 I go over there, was not in a rush to pick up the wheels, but without any calls I dropped by. I tell them the wheel and what I dropped it off for and they had no idea, checked for my invoice and found it. They let me know that they didn't have the wheel anymore because they "throw out customer wheels after 30 days." I asked them where they have a notice about throwing out wheels after contacting customers and was met with a blank stare. The employee printed out my invoice to show me it was from September 2021 and that "it's been like over a year." On the invoice it says that a 10% service fee will be added to the invoice, not we throw away your wheels after 30 days. 0/10 service, 0/10 practice When I asked how should we handle replacing the wheel and TPMS sensor, the employee said "we don't buy wheels, but I can give you a site where you can get new ones." If I wanted to buy them new I wouldn't have come here in the first place. Be warned because you either have to call everyday and baby sit your wheels, or they get tossed. read more

Stay away!!! I will never forget about my horrible experience with these guys. It happened years ago yet it is still so vivid in my mind because of the traumatic experience I had with these fools. I should have known right off the bat when I brought my rims in. I'm very meticulous and went over the details of what and how they were going to repair my rim. Their response? "It'll be BETTER THAN NEW!". Who the hell can claim this? Man I was stupid and did it anyways because I treasured my 3-pc forged aluminum wheels. Like a lot of the people here, my rim was NOT completed by the promise date. Not even close. After over a week of delay, I was told my rim was finally done. When I came in to pick it up I was horrified to find that they didn't even paint the inside of the rim to match! Their response? No one sees that. Are you kidding me? I'm paying you $400 and you guys are this bad? That's equivalent to leaving your car with primer in the doors and under the hood because "you don't see that". He told me come back in a few days to pick it up. When I came back, I found the rim color didn't even match. Wow. I was horrified with their crappy service and workmanship. I just wanted my wheels back. The guy mounted my tire back on and I was on my way. As if I wasn't already disappointed, I found all the air leaked out from the seam where they were supposed to put in a new o-ring. I brought the wheel back and of course they made up some lame excuse like "whenever you break a 3-pc wheel apart you risk it leaking". What happened to "better than new", Moron? I was told to come back again to pick up the wheel at a later date. Another week went by and I was given excuse after excuse of why the wheel wasn't ready. Finally one day I spoke to Jeff directly and this MFer told me that if I wanted my rim back, I would have to PAY CASH. Excuse me? I already paid by credit card! He told me, "well, i'll credit your card and you're going to have to come in with cash if you want your rim". Has anyone other than crooks ever said this to you? Hell no! He then said "in the 20+ years he's been in business, I've never had a customer that's ever complained". This prick actually then called me "a fucking chink and to go back to my country" and then told me he was gonna kick my ass during that same conversation. Wow. I have seen it all now. I didn't know it was recess time already. I hung up and then called the police and told them I wanted to report a theft. I explained to them the situation about how I already paid (receipt in hand) and how he used racial slurs against me quoting his exact words. The officer met me at the shop and spoke to Jeff in the back. Minutes later, the Klansman carried my rim out and rolled it out to me. This is why you should never do business with crooks. After Auto Clutch and Transmission completely screwed up the rims, they send us over to Wheel Techniques to get it fixed. The service here was good, and the technicians were detailed. The only downside is that they could improve on their estimated time of completion. Also, when the color was slightly off, they redid the other two rims without any issues... in fact the technician was the one who pointed out that the colors were a hair off and that they were willing to redo the others to match! I don't have anything to say about the quote issues that other people ran into or scheduling issues since we dropped the car off with the keys stuffed through the mail slot and that ACT was picking up the entire tab so we didn't go through the quote process. read more

After being turned down by a big chain tire store (Long story short: they didn't want to touch wheels that's weren't OEM), I literally felt hopeless and stuck with my vibrating vehicle. I don't know what made me check google... but I'm glad I did. 'Wheel Techniques' is one of the few shops that actually DO WORK on rims. Walking around their work area, its clearly evident that they work on everything from OEM wheels, track wheels, racing wheels, and even 22s. What's a pleasant surprise is, all of their work is IN-HOUSE. Briefly explaining the vibration on the my vehicle, the manager already seemed to have already been able to pinpoint the problems of my vibration: bent rims. Further investigation also revealed that my wheels were also not balanced correctly. (This is what happens when you buy rims/tires online) Luckily in my case, the Manager utilized the least invasive means of solutions and was able to significantly reduce the vibration in my vehicle by balancing the wheels. What really impressed me the most was the manager not trying to sell additional services that I didn't need. This shop is truly a rare diamond in the rough. read more

I had pretty bad curb rash on my rims, i came in to get it removed, it was a reasonable price, but i decided to get all my rims powder coated ( i have a 2006 Audi a4 stock rims). I'm not really into "rims" but i like the powder coat look, anyways. I paid about 650 for the curb rash to be repaired, and the rims to be painted. It turned out looking amazing.
